At my first appointment with Mama Love's I went to her home, knocked repeatedly on her door and no answer, although at least one or two cars were in the driveway. So, me and my two dogs left. After texting her, she told me she had been in the hospital, so I booked a second appointment where my dogs stayed all day and were not groomed because she had a migraine. A play date with her dogs, maybe? I observed that she was decorating her home for Christmas. The third try she shaved my mama Shizu so short you could see her skin which made me mad. But worst, my young shizu male was not groomed at all because he had diarrhea. (Probably due to anxiety, although he did not have it afterwards at home.) I stupidly paid for both dog's grooming. I don't know why all this happened but I will not go back.

He was bathed, de-shedded and trimmed around the paws. Normally groomers leave straggling fur in between the paws whenever I ask them to trim them to where I have to touch it up when we get home, but Posh Pup executed everything phenomenally. The greatest part is he usually comes back just smelling...'wet'... after the groomer, looking somewhat decent but he smells absolutely amazing and his coat is incredibly silky. The pricing is reasonable, the staff is welcoming, the environment is warming. You all will have my business for as long as I am here. Thank you again.

Miniature Schnauzers can mat easily because their traditional cut leaves longer hair on the legs, chest, and beard. That longer hair traps dirt, moisture, and debris, especially if they are active and live in areas with high amounts of underbrush and leaves. Instead of having a respectful, professional conversation with me, Dawna made snarky remarks to me in front of another customer, saying our dog would look like "Swiss cheese" and "look stupid," but that she would do it anyway. She even added that she prefers to "shave him naked" rather than have him look like Swiss cheese, and dismissed my concerns by saying, "It's just hair. It will grow back." This was unprofessional and unnecessary -- especially saying it in front of another customer, which made me uncomfortable and embarrassed. As a paying customer, I do not not hire a groomer for what she wants to do; I pay them for what I request, provided it is safe for our dog. I expect respectful communication and clear explanation of options -- not sarcasm or ridicule. A good groomer should work with owners to find the best solution for the dog, not belittle their request. When I hire someone for a service, they work for me -- not the other way around. I'm paying for what I want done, not for what they'd rather do. I will not be returning and hope this feedback encourages Donna and Vanity Fur to practice more professionalism and respect for future clients. Based upon my past interactions with Donna, I fully expect her to double down and leave a baseless and falsified response to justify her rudeness and unprofessional behavior. Nothing says "professional" like blaming your own paying customer when you get called out. Instead of fixing the problem, I fully expect Donna to deflect, and made excuses. These photos of our sweet little guy were taken the day after his grooming after the small mats were trimmed and as everyone can see, he doesn't look "stupid" or like "Swiss Cheese" and didn't need to be shaved like the owner preferred. It is our contention the Donna was rudely pushing the lazier route of shaving him to save her extra work and time. Additionally, just as I expected, I received a nasty text message from Donna in which she vowed notify other groomers in town to blackball us as customers and she falsified the majority of her response to my review. This is one really nasty vindictive business owner.

Our lab Mickey is 12 years old and very spoiled; for him to enjoy a place is very reassuring to us. (Both of our boys Love the pool that is available) Our second sweet angel is a 6-year-old Belgian Malinois (Tigger) with the energy level of 3 or 4 normal dogs and about an eighteenth of the attention span! We are very excited to have a new 'Home away from Home' for our two K9s, as we like to travel often (and for extended holidays). Knowing that there is a safe and comfortable place for our angels to stay, with an attentive staff, always makes our holiday more relaxing and enjoyable.

They have four locations but we went to the one on Dog Track Road which is closest to the navy base. Candace the groomer did exactly as I asked and did not cut Marshall's ears or tail and not to short. Marshall looks and smells so much better now. This facility is veteran owned and they give a military discount which we appreciate and like the idea of supporting veterans. When we are back again next year we will definitely be back. Some of the reviews were not good but I recommend you give them a chance we did and we're not disappointed!! Thank you for your service!!
