Ummm, maybe give it a second bath which is why I dropped her off in the first place. The groomer claimed my dog "had a skin disease, and not to bring her back without a vet clearance".... Hmmm didn't know the groomer was a vet (she's not). Took the same dog to Petsmart on Davis Hwy a few days later, got her washed & trimmed just fine. No "vet clearance" needed & they said there was no issue with the health of my dog. When speaking to the staff & groomer, they were rude & sanctimonious. They claimed ONLY to groom "small dogs" in the future. In 35 years in Pensacola, never encountered a pet grooming place like A to Z. Completely unprofessional, & will soon be closed due to their arrogance... Would they pay the vet bill to find out nothing is wrong with my dog because they are completely incompetent or don't use shampoo or recycle their water.... The only reason they could not wash my dog properly.... And then CLAIM she had a SKIN CONDITION!!! This company gives Pensacola the nickname, "Pudunk Pensacola".

I had a last minute trip the weekend before Christmas so that Friday I called around to multiple…read moreplaces. They didn't pick up the first time but I received a call back in less than a hour, which really surprised me. While trying to find the facility for drop off I was a little lost as you can't see the place from the road only a white sign. The drive up the dirty road was a little surprising to me as they don't have many pictures. I knew I had no other options on sure short notice. Walking in, the smell was alarming and the cats roaming around didn't give me the best feeling. They employees where nice and pleasant during check in. I was told over the phone that boarding was $18/a day and his bath would be $15. During pick up I was told the price was $90 which I'm not sure how they came up with those numbers if I dropped off Friday and picked up Monday (2 full days, 2 half days - $18/day and 1 bath $15) either way I didn't question it as I planned on tipping for the service. I didn't like that he was still wet when I picked him up and in the car he slept the entire time which is so not normal for a Shiba. However, They seem to be family owned which is great and I always try to suppose local businesses! I would use them again if I need boarding.

I have been bringing my babies to Klondike's for well over 3 years. Desiree the owner, is an incredible animal loving people person and I adore her. I had the pleasure of meeting Desi through a referral. My neighbor used Klondike's for her pitty mix and after a personal series of unfortunate events, I required boarding for my 2 dogs every weekend for several months. I have a Great Pyrenees and a Poodle mix and they have been absolutely spoiled by Desiree. My boys have loved coming to the kennel every single visit since. They know they are coming about 10 minutes away and you can tell they are stoked, My pyrenees has even jumped out my car window because I was taking to long to open the car door, all to get to Desiree quicker! The Kennel is on personal private property and Desiree lives a short walk away, which makes me confident my babies will be well taken care of. Desiree also handles all of my grooming needs. My boys had a photo shoot coming up and Desiree was able to squeeze them in for their regular doggy doo's. My boy's get so many compliemnts on how good they look. Desiree makes sure my Great Pyrenees stays free of mats and tangles in his abundence of fur. Thank you for your wonderful services Desi, you are truly one of a kind.

At my first appointment with Mama Love's I went to her home, knocked repeatedly on her door and no answer, although at least one or two cars were in the driveway. So, me and my two dogs left. After texting her, she told me she had been in the hospital, so I booked a second appointment where my dogs stayed all day and were not groomed because she had a migraine. A play date with her dogs, maybe? I observed that she was decorating her home for Christmas. The third try she shaved my mama Shizu so short you could see her skin which made me mad. But worst, my young shizu male was not groomed at all because he had diarrhea. (Probably due to anxiety, although he did not have it afterwards at home.) I stupidly paid for both dog's grooming. I don't know why all this happened but I will not go back.

I have multiple years of experience in dog grooming. I started out as a bather and eventually went to school to become a groomer. I took some time off to work in a vet clinic to further my experience with clients and to recognize certain behaviors that would indicate illness in my grooming clients. For example I can tell when a dog is about to have a seizure so I can stop what I am doing to lessen the chances of the seizure being worse. I work at a vet clinic for 3 years while I also continue to learn to groom on my own.

They also took extra images (free of charge) of my dog's leg when she fell out of the car window just to be sure she didn't have any fractures in her hip. If you need them they are there and they are so nice. The wait can be long but that's because they treat every emergency like an emergency and take your pet to check vitals, etc, right away. This place should not have a single negative review in my opinion.
