New owners. Our previous groomer no longer employed here. First, their method to make an appointment requires internet access. No phone in appointments. This makes it difficult for older people that have problems with technology. Second they require a credit card on file to make an appointment. If you miss your appointment then they automatically charge you. Very questionable cut for our dog. We know the paws were trimmed but the coat was not touched. They left hair hanging in his eyes. They did trim the toe nails. Probably will not be returning here. We will be returning here asking them to remove our credit card information. read more

I have been going to K9 for over a year with 3 dogs at 250-300 a month in grooming. and the people are absolutely amazing. We love Nick but since they have opted to use an online appointment system it's impossible to get through or get assistance. The system will not allow you to book more than 2 appt at the same time. My dog was groomed and the grooming looked good. But when I went to pick my dog up the price was more than what I quoted when I drop my dog off. I asked why, they just kept giving me excuses, they first said because my dog was Cocker spaniel and then came back and said my dog was old and that made it harder to groom, I know better, because my dog is blind and deaf and will sit still for anyone. So then I asked who set the price, I was told the groomer. After all this I called other groomers to find out I was paying to much to begin with. I will not be going back. read more

Took my miniature poodle (15lbs) to this location. I will preface with saying that she was matted since her hair is easily knotted. Well they completely cut her hair off which is not what I wanted but I'm sure needed to happen, however, I was charged $65 for a complete shave. There was no attempt to make her look even AND she had some bald spots. It looked SO bad like I could've done it myself. If her hair needed to be cut down that's fine but if you make it look like you just ran the clips with no rhyme or rhythm, that's unprofessional. Clearly there was no precision or care to what was done, so what was the $65 dollars for? I will NEVER take her back and DO NOT recommend anyone to this place. read more

Nick (and all the groomers) at K9 Splash and Dash are so sweet and kind to my pets. They groomed our very old (and very sickly) Pekingnese until the day he passed. They were always very gentle with him, and when we would pick him up, he seemed comfortable and happy to be groomed. I never have issues getting a fairly timely appointment, and my dogs are so happy when we take them in for their appointment, which tells me they are treated well during their grooming sessions. Nick is always so welcoming to my terrier mix (harper)... and she is just as happy to see him each time. We have used other groomers, and while they did a good job, K9 splash and dash seems to go the "extra mile" and my dogs seem to smell better and look shinier after going here. NOT RECOMMENDED! Terrible service. Never dealt with a groomer like this. We've been sending our dog to the groomers every 2-3 months for 7 years. Every time we take him here, HIS NAILS ARE BLEEDING BAD because they cut waay too short and he comes back limping, yes limping!! This time, they called, said he had some matting spots by his lower chest area and asked to shave it, we said ok...? They send him back completely shaved to his skin and yep bleeding nails cut back into the vein and limping again! Seriously!? We love our dog, he's a Newfie with a thick double coat, he does take more work for groomers. From other bad reviews it seems they do this whenever they get a dog with a thick coat and blame it on matting. Call the manager to let him know, he actually had the nerve to get rude, not listen and lie "well he must of been severely matted", TOTAL BS. Manager needs to take a class on customer service and obvious problem solving. Horrible customer service. We send our dog to the most expensive vet in town every 6 month, full physical, gets a furminator, well taken care of, great bill of health every visit! Truth is they're lazy, got busy and didn't want to deal with his double coat, so they shaved him to his skin, nails cut back to the vein, bleeding and limping again! $200! I'm in the military so when I get released is when I can go, rushed to get here with my dog to get her a bath. I get it's 6 minutes to spare, but your time says 5, so 6 minutes before 5 meets that time and is over an hour before closing. I used the self service wash and was happy with the service . The guy working there helped me wrangle my two dogs and even helped us to the car . The staff was very friendly and the place is really clean . Shampoo is included in the wash but if your super picky just bring your own . If you have a super sensitive or aggressive dog this may not be the place for you to go . They handled my dogs great and it's nice to have a place to go that doesn't discriminate against breed . They also have military discount !!!! I will for sure be giving these guys my business again . .... oh and my dogs loved the cookies from the bakery there too. read more

Brought our 12 yr old Black flat coat retriever in for grooming. Get a call 30 i notes later that she "escaped" their shop and ran away. The boy working helped to look, but the owners refuse to accept responsibility for losing a dog out of their shop. It is clear to us they do not care about animals. Their efforts - except for the boy shop person do not care - not a single post on social media concerning the loss of a clients pet and ask their followers to look for her. again - owners Bo and Rita refuse to accept responsibility, berate us for having a dog that is a"runner" We have had her for 12 yrs and generally walk her without a leash. Clearly she was provided. Rita and Bo will respond that we are bashing the shop - how is this bashing if you drop your pen off - and they lose her and do not make an effort to find. Not even something as simple as posting on their webpage or another social media. read more

Jennifer and Chris are always polite and accommodating. They have been grooming our poodle for awhile. I read other reviews and would be heartbroken if my dog got lost. That is why we ask to have her placed in a cage. We don't leave her running around on the floor. That's an accident waiting to happen. You can't accommodate dogs who are free to roam with self bathing and have a groomer responsible for grooming dogs while owners are away. It's as bad mix. Trying to do too much at one time. It's very distracting. If your dog is severely matted I would have to say that's the owner's responsibility not the groomer. I can't imagine trying to keep up with all that's going on there. They need to change the setup. Not enough control of dogs and people going in and out. Jennifer does as great job on our dog. I don't have any complaints ! When someone isn't happy, people are usually quick to complain. Seldom do people who are satisfied or happy take the time to write a review. That's one of the primary reasons I've decided to do so after reading Monica's exaggerated claim that her purebred, AKC registered, champion bloodline dog had been ruined because of a haircut!! Really!! Will the hair not grow back?? Last week (October 2016) I carried a Pomeranian which I had found in to be groomed. Since I have never owned a Pomeranian, I had no clue what I actually wanted......the ladies in the shop (and I'm embarrassed I cannot remember their names) were extremely kind and helpful, even showing me pics. of different Pomeranian cuts. With their help, I decided which style I wanted for this rescue Pom. At the appointed time, I came back to pick her up and I just want to say she was absolutely ADORABLE!! My previous groomers in Mississippi were NEVER punctual and my dogs evidently did not like them......this Pomeranian seemed to LOVE these groomers and unless I'm able to find a forever home for this sweet girl, she will most definitely be returning to them. read more

I am the first to leave positive reviews for businesses, and rarely if ever leave anything negative, but here goes. First of all the desk person is so nice and helpful, so sounded like he understood what I was asking for when I left my bernedoodle for a haircut. The facility is also very aesthetically pleasing. Beyond that, the grooming that they gave my dog is a complete disaster.... completely shaved him down to the skin and took off his beard completely, which I specifically asked the check in person not to touch as he is supposed to have a beard. They shaved his tush so short that it has a cut on it, and he can't stop licking the cut today, and is all out of sorts ): They shaved 1/4 of his tail and left the rest a foot long! ??? He looks like a peacock. I specifically said not anything like a poodle cut... showed them a picture of how I like my dog to look. He is literally shaved entire dog to the skin and then some, and has a cut on his tush! I couldn't say anything as I was in shock when I picked him up, and what can be done at that point anyway... sigh. If I wasn't so in shock, I would have refused to pay, but paid $115 for this debacle! I wish I had read the reviews on Yelp before taking my poor puppy here... sounds like all they know how to do is shave dogs to the skin and many leave with cuts and such read more

Took my two Australian Shepherds here three times prior, on the fourth trip tragedy occurred. I asked for a regular bath, brush and clean up on one Aussie, the other who swims frequently in the pool I asked for a bath, brush, clean up and shorter on his coat on his underbelly. I showed pictures, showed on my actual dog length I wanted his underbelly, stated repeatedly not to go into the undercoat. Afternoon they call to say my dogs are done. Get there, payment taken, dogs are brought out and I don't even recognize them. Jennifer the groomer has shaved both my dogs into their undercoats. I would have cried right then if I wasn't so angry. She claims this is what I wanted... Then told me pictures are the worst to show to groomers. Also stated it would all grow back. Money refunded and I asked for the owner to call me. Once I got the dogs home and they were jumping out of the SUV I notice blood all over the floorboard. One of my dogs is profusely bleeding from his paw. Took pictures of their coat and injury. Owner NEVER called. Called next day and asked to have owner call me; gentleman answered and asked me why so I inform him of what occurred the day before. He states the owner will call. A few hours later the owner calls, same voice as the gentleman that had answered the phone prior. First he blames me saying I must have asked them to be shaved, nope. Second he states that the groomer is partially deaf and wears hearing aides, I explain I am aware of that and if at anytime she could not hear my instructions regarding the grooming it is her responsibility to ask me to repeat it. (I'm deaf in one ear, told him I empathize but that is no excuse). At this point he offers doggy day care for my dogs, and a free groom at a location in Navarre. I told him I just wanted an apology and for the business to accept the responsibility. He asked for pictures so I sent them all to him, along with the pictures I showed Jennifer of how I wanted my dogs groomed. He says he will talk to his wife and will call me that night. NEVER HEARD FROM HIM AGAIN. Moral of the story do not take your furbaby here, this business takes zero responsibility for mishaps on their part and attempts to blame you, then blame the disability of their employee, then instead of apologizing tries to offer services you do not want. This happened months ago; ones hair grew back a different color and the other's hair is more coarse than it was prior. Thanks a lot for absolutely nothing and ruining their coats. Saddest thing to me is that this groomer told me she owns Aussies and yet shaved my boys anyway. You are not supposed to shave them; period. read more

We dropped our two beautiful Pomeranians off at this place so they could get a haircut - all we asked them to do was give them a trim - AND THEY SHAVED THEM BOTH DOWN TO THE SKIN! Anyone that knows anything about Poms knows that they have 2 coats - a long silky outer coat and a thick inner coat of fur - and if you shave the inner coat it doesn't grow back. THEY LOST MY DOG! My dog was dropped off for grooming and we were told that she had jumped over the half wall and pushed open the front door (I am confused how a gentle 11year old female lab mix was able to do this still). The owners did not contact us, we had to call them multiple times for more information. They then continued to ask us to stop bashing their business when we explained on social media that our dog was lost and we recommend their procedures be changed to avoid this happening again in the future. The son did help look for the dog for a few hours, but the owners were not responding helpful in finding or dog. Luckily, with our family efforts and community help, we found our pup almost 2 days later after she had been swimming in the canal and was completely exhausted. The worry during all of this from the owners seemed to be on their business and not on finding our precious baby. read more

My dog 'escaped' from K9 Splash and 'Dash' and was missing for 36 hours. What a nightmare this was. Not quite sure how she escaped but the blame is not on my dog although the owner tried to tell my husband that it was. Making matters much worse was the fact that my dog's collar and identification/contact info tags were at K9 Splash and Dash. I could never have imagined a dog 'escaping' from a groomers. It was her third time there and she'll never go back. I'll give the owners' efforts to find my dog about a 1 on a scale of 1 to 10. They put in fewer hours on the streets looking for her than we did and put nothing on their Facebook page asking for help in finding her. Think they didn't want to publicize that they let a dog get away. I don't blame them as it won't be good for business but it didn't help in the search for my dog. After our dog was found at 10:30 at night, I texted them the next morning requesting that they bring her collar and leash to our home (about 2 miles away). I received a response telling me that we would have her collar and leash by 5 pm. Uhm, no! We'd like to walk her and not without a collar, tags and leash! Cannot recommend at all. The 'escape' of our dog was the first problem, the owner's lack of accountability was the second thing, the minimal amount of legwork looking for our dog is the third thing and not getting the collar and leash to us was a final straw. A friend went to pick it up for us. The choice is yours but we have now had a nightmare experience with them. I've also learned that our dog is not the first to escape from their facility. Owners are trying to say all of the right things to us and others but our experience speaks for itself. Don't take the chance of having your dog get lost. For 36 hours our sweet 11 year old dog was out there on her own. The visions that continued to play through my mind were horrid. We had several phone numbers as contacts on our flyers and multiple Facebook posts and our friends received a call and picked her up. K9 Splash and 'Dash' is not quite accurate - K9 Splash and 'Get Away' is much more appropriate. read more

I rescued my Molly two years ago December, and have been taking her there since the first week I got her. The owners of this business are such good people. They really do care about their customers and their satisfaction. Their staff are all always so caring and listen to exactly what each customer wants. I buy all of Molly's collars from K9, because It's hard to find collars that are big and stylish enough for my girl. I am a current customer and will continue to be as long as their doors are open. This is one of the few places that will groom my Yorkie without automatically shaving him down to nothing. Yorkies mat easily and mine compounds the problem by continually jumping in the pool. They do charge a de-matting fee but it's like ten bucks. Well worth it to not have my pup look like a chihuahua when he's finished. I gauge my opinion of a groomer in large part by the way my dog reacts when he realizes where he's going. I also have a 95 pound Lab and there are places where she absolutely fights not to go in. I am so heart broken I don't even know how to start with this letter. I just don't want anybody to suffer the way I'm suffering right now. I took my two Pomeranians Charlie and Leo to this place because they told me they know how to groom Pomeranians. I asked for a full grooming, hair cut, nails, ears etc . After 4 hours they called me to pick them up. This time the lady charged me almost $100.00 before bringing me Charile (4 years old) and Leo (18 months old). While I was paying and asking her why this time it was so much I heard my 12 year old daughter saying "Excuse me, this is not my dog, mine is a pomeranian, a blonde one and a chocolate one". I looked down and I couldn't believe my eyes. This woman had shaved my babies completely!!!! My beautiful Charlie that looked like a teddy bear has been scalped! Not only did she shave his whole body but his beautiful face, and eye brows, and ears!!! My daughter and I started crying and we asked them "how and why did you commit this atrocity on this beautiful, tiny 7 lb animal of God!!!" My pure bred, AKC registered, champion bloodline dog is ruined!!!! My babies! She gave me the money back, (not the tip, because she was having problems with her computer she said), but what about my babies!!! I cried all night, and I am still traumatized by this. Not sure where to start but here I go. This place is clean and great staff. We have been here several times and the grooming of my dog was good. However, this last week, we took my dog in for a grooming. My dog was matted and wanted to get him looking nice. When I went to go pick him up, they were not quite done yet. While waiting, they told me there would be a risk of plucking the hair out of the ear. I opted not to have the ears plucked. Once the dog was finished, the groomer informed me my dog was matted pretty bad. The groomer informed me that during the shaving, the dog got a "nick" near his private area and it was superficial. Well, when I got home, my wife stated it was deeper than a nick. We took him to the vet and got the ears checked out. During that time, the vet stated the "nick" was deep and the dog need stitches. I spoke with the owner and basically I was blamed for this incident because the dog was matted. The owner did speak with the vet and attempted to verify if the dog had been groomed anywhere else. The owner called me, blamed us and stated it was a risk we took. My standpoint is I understand the dog was matted, but I should have been called and told the risk just like they told me about the risk to the ear. But as importantly, the last conversation I had with him, he was short with me and stated there is nothing they could do. Very disappointed on how they handled this. The staff does a good job, but if an issue arises, the ability of the owner to address the issue is very poor regardless of whose fault it may be. My dog is healing now and will need strict attention for the next month. The owners of this establishment should be ashamed. And I, just just like the previous poster, will never go back to this place again. read more

I had taken our golden retriever a few times for just nail trims and once for a full service. I was satisfied. I took in her a few weeks ago just for a nail trim, our nail trimmers had broken on bath day. The young man behind the desk was kinda cold and seemed bothered by my request. I had been able to do her back nails and just needed her fronts cut. He said it would $7 either way. Ok. He grabbed the clippers and quick stop and headed to the lobby where were waiting. He bent down to start and my dog was confused and backed towards me. He said oh you can just sit down and hold her while I do it or is she gonna freak out. It seemed odd that I was going to have to sit on the floor and hold my own dog while you cut her nails and charge me. I don't know it didn't feel right so we left. Good when it opened but now seems over priced, I got a recent quote on grooming, and the staff just seems eh. I won't go back. read more

i called other groomshops trying to get my dog in for a groom they were all booked my coworker said k9 splash n dash could get me in that day.I was hesitant about that because my old groomer up north was always booked two weeks out.But since we were going out of town i took my baby girl there,i asked the groomer jennifer to leave about an inch all over,when i picked her up she was SHAVED very close!I paid for it very upset but was too shocked to say anything and also had my son with me.This place is so unprofessional i can tell by reading the reviews that jennifer b. well it sure sounds like you work their...hmmmmm...And the two that had their pomeranians shaved i know how you feel. read more
