Hamrick's is a great option. My last visit was not a good one. Went in with my family trying to help my cousin find a belt - we located one and all the signs say everything was on sale for either $10 or $20 (with original price ranges listed on the sign to indicate which was the sale price). At the register, it rang up for $25, which was obviously not correct - and according to the original price, it should have been $10. I went back, took pictures of the signs, and when I was walking back to the register, the cashier had given the belt to another staff member to check the price. I'm not sure if this was a manager or what, but I showed her the pictures and was told it must have been a different item. After trying to explain the original price and the sale prices, she said "I hate to tell you that the signs are not always the correct/same items or prices. I am not going to argue with you!" I was like, listen, either way, it rang up for $25, which is obviously not correct and she told the cashier to ring it up $20. She was extremely rude. I was not arguing with her, raising my voice or being disrespectful. I went to take pictures for them quickly so they didn't have to send someone to the back to check. And if the price is incorrect, I simply asked them to correct it. And don't tell me that I just have to deal with it because the signs aren't always right. Why are you posting incorrect information/pricing? Maybe you should check that before advertising items. I normally don't have an issue because I know what to expect from a Hamrick's, having been to other locations, etc. But this last experience has made me not want to visit this location again.

On the plus side, you can now order online and pick up in store if you don't need to try on, and the Belk website lets you know if items are available in store.

After some online research, I discovered it's a part of a chain of similar store in NC and SC. They also offer online ordering for those who are not near a retail store. If you're looking for preppy brands such as Simply Southern, Dazzle Up is your place. All of the merchandise is stereotypical Southern preppy- girly and bright. The store does monogramming while you wait for a very reasonable price. I'll admit, this is probably the brightest, most colorful store I've ever been in. Some of my family members are really into the Simply Southern brand shirts, and this is a very inexpensive place to get them. They have a huge selection of sizes and styles of shirts, as well as preppy products I didn't realize existed- athletic shorts, nightgowns, and most any style and size of luggage. Your bag will certainly stick out on the luggage carousel on the airport. While it's not personally my style, if you're looking for sorority, bridesmaid, or preppy gifts- or if you're having a gray, gloomy day- check out Dazzle Up.
