We did a tasting of 5 different wines for $7 - the Lazy Days Dry Rose, Untamed Red, End Post Red, Riesling Semi Sweet, and Blueberry. You can pay $10 to keep a souvenir glass! My favorites were the Untamed Red and the Blueberry. The Blueberry went really well with some Sparkle too - almost like a blueberry mimosa. We ended up bringing a bottle of the Untamed Red back with us!

This brewery, originally founded in Queensbury, NY, opened this outpost in May and was thankfully open on Labor Day. The vibe is laid-back with a good amount of airman-style décor, and we were greeted by Shug, the shop dog--a super friendly Newfoundland who instantly set the tone. The bartender was warm, welcoming, and easy to chat with. Even at the tail end of a busy holiday weekend, when they were out of a few beers, there were still solid options on tap plus canned cocktails from other NY-based distillers. Food came from the onsite truck--standard bar fare but executed really well. We had the pretzel sticks and a grilled cheese with onion rings, and both were excellent pairings for the drinks. They offer flights, but since I usually stick to wheat beers (and they had just run out), I went with water and the canned cocktails. The beer lovers with me all found plenty to enjoy from the tap list. Overall, this spot has that easygoing farm-brewery vibe that makes it a great stop in the area. I'll definitely be checking out one of their other locations soon to finally try their wheat beer!

If you are into visiting hole in the wall start-up breweries, then you absolutely must stop by their tap room in Cherry Valley! The atmosphere is friendly and cozy; feels like a hidden speakeasy. Red Shed has approval on four base beers for distribution in Cooperstown and surrounding areas however you can find exciting one off brews at the taproom. They plan to get distribution approval for popular one offs from there. As of the time of this review the brewery is less than one year old but there are many exciting things on the horizon.

The new owners have turned it into something totally different, as I discovered earlier this month. The only original menu item that has survived is the "famous" Hot Open Veggie, which is more or less the same except you can't add tofu or tempeh without paying for the full side order. Also, they ditched the amazing tofu marinade for... no marinade? It had no flavor, and the tempeh was cut into skinny triangles and all dried out. It used to come in cubes, and was an awesome addition to Hot Open Veggie. I couldn't eat it. Where is the tempeh burger? It used to be so delicious. I was going to come twice in one day to get both. I ended up leaving after my disappointing meal, the first one I've ever had at The Autumn. Can someone pay some attention to what has kept that place open for like forty years? I guess not.

The tour was very informative and the wines and whiskey were delicious we picked up the cinister moonshine which is way better than fireball and their Cabernet Sauvignon too is very delicious. Lovely spacious tour and the owner was very welcoming. Thank you for a great time!
