During the visit, Dr. Cropper asked only a few brief questions and performed a quick ultrasound simply to confirm the pregnancy. The ultrasound photo we were given was blurry and off-center, but what disappointed us most was the interaction. When my partner brought up concerns based on our prior pregnancies, they were dismissed with brief, cold responses. Throughout the appointment, I also felt that Dr. Cropper barely acknowledged my partner or made us feel comfortable discussing our concerns. When the office later called to schedule a follow-up appointment, I explained that I was still upset about the care I had received and shared my concerns about how the appointment had gone. The front desk staff told me they would call me back to schedule the follow-up. Instead, I received a letter informing me that Dr. Cropper would no longer be seeing me due to "patient-doctor differences." As a newly pregnant woman, this was incredibly disappointing and upsetting. Rather than addressing my concerns or attempting to improve communication, I was dismissed from the practice. I found the way the situation was handled to be unprofessional and disrespectful. Every patient deserves to feel heard, especially during such an important and vulnerable time.
