My daugher began seeing Misty Rogers at Rooted Wellness awhile ago, when she was 13 years old, for severe grass, corn and fragrance allergies and toxic overload caused by a chemical exposure. My daughter feared needles, and Misty used acupressure instead. The treatment was effective; there was a definite lessening of symptoms. My daughter would typically need a full week after an exposure before she could resume normal activities. After working with Misty for several sessions, her reactions were less severe, and her recovery was within 48 hours. We returned to Misty for 2 sessions in April, 2020 for tendonitis in both shoulders. My daughter, now 15, allowed a needle, but there was no pressure to do so. Misty used topical herbs, needle, massage and cupping that brought significant relief and a very visible increase in range of motion. She had tried chiropractic, cupping and massage before, with some success, but not long lasting due to her very rigorous ballet demands. It seems the missing piece was Misty Rogers. This was my first time doing acupuncture and I must say I was a bit skeptical. I was having pain for over 2 weeks in the right side of my neck and had tried everything including chiropractic, massage therapy, tens pack, muscle rubs, ice packs with no relief. I'll start off by saying that Misty is truly the sweetest. I've had acupuncture, cupping and been prescribed herbs from her that help with my specific needs. My first visit with her started with answering a ton of questions about me and my lifestyle so that she could use her specialty in the best way for me and my specific needs.
