I made my reservation online for the vehicle and this "streamlined" the process tremendously. When I arrived to get the car - it took less than 15 minutes to be on my way. This is a wonderful improvement in pleasing the customers on good customer service! The only downfall is the $400.00 hold on your credit card, but I must say the balance was refunded within 24-hours of me returning my car. Overall, Enterprise at this location provided a great experience.

I reserved a vehicle large enough to accommodate my family, but when I arrived, I was given a smaller vehicle that did not meet my needs. After being told that a larger vehicle was available, I made the trip back to the rental location only to be informed that they had not received the necessary approval to switch me into it. As a result, I wasted valuable time and still did not get the vehicle I originally requested. The lack of coordination and clear communication has been extremely frustrating. When customers reserve a specific type of vehicle, they should be able to rely on that reservation being honored or at least be notified in advance if there is an issue. I hope management takes steps to improve communication and customer service so others do not have the same experience.

Tiny Tucked in a corner place, After waiting an hour to get to the desk, as only one guy was working the counter, i was told they where not accepting same day bookings and they was no car available. Major inconvenience as they were no cars in the Hertz Philly area to pick up at any location. They would let you book it but not deliver one. Also a hug issue, after being denied a car they DID GO AHEAD AND CHARGE over $400 for a one day rental that we where not allowed to have due to inventory issues. Now we have to go back and battle of that charge. Stick with Avis they deliver!!!

This place could not have made it any easier for me. The people who work there are unbelievably nice and ply you with cookies and water and coffee and understand that they're often dealing with people who are in stressful situations. It was very busy there over the holidays, but I worked with the same guy both times, and he was about the most cheerful and pleasant person I've probably ever met. As we all know, space is at a premium in Manayunk, so they don't have an expansive selection of cars, but that worked in my favor as I was upgraded to a very nice Mazda on my first trip there (Ford Focus on my second - yes, the repairs spanned a period before and after an entire vacation where I didn't need a car, so I had to go to Enterprise twice). The trucking company's insurance company was very difficult to work with, and whoever I spoke with on the phone at Enterprise was effective at explaining everything going on and at getting me my deposit back. I've been to the Enterprise in Paoli as well, pretty standard robotic customer service, but the Manayunk location left me feeling less stressed and marveling at their employees' infectious holiday cheer.

We scheduled online to pick up a car at this location on Friday before work (when they opened at…read more8am) for a weekend trip. When we arrived at the location, the door was locked and there was a notice at the door along the lines of "stepped away, call (this 215 number) for assistance" so I called the number and it went to the national line. I hung up and tried again, and it went to a live person right away, who said the location we were at is temporarily closed and we needed to head over to the City Ave location for pickup. When we finally got over there, they said they had a problem with rodents but should be back at Umbria on Monday when we dropped it off. We adjusted our morning plans (now being about half an hour later than expected getting the car), went to work and then our weekend. Then came Monday morning. Gassed up the car, got there at 8am, and were not the only people standing there waiting for an employee. We told them to head over to City Ave and made our way through traffic to get there ourselves. Needless to say, I was unhappy when I pulled up in the parking lot at 20 after 8, and was stressing I'm about how to get us both to work on time with this new delay. Expressed my frustration and the guy who seemed most in charge didn't care - actually continued to write down whatever he was working on when I came in, even when I sarcastically thanked him for caring. He even had the nerve to tell me there was nothing they could do about the closed location - I suggested they call the people who were expecting to drop off or pick up at Umbria and let them know to not go there. I left feedback with the national customer service line, who stated the corporate location at Umbria was not listed as having any closures in their system, and that my feedback would be passed on to the area supervisor. Unlikely to ever rent from Hertz again - but definitely never coming to this location again.
