I was driving from Dallas to OKC. Stopped off at Starbucks to get a cup of coffee. The family decided to get some breakfast while we was off the freeway. Found a hole in the place named Ruby's. It looked like any other cafe but it was surrounded by a creepy motel. They told me I couldn't bring my coffee inside. I didn't see any sign that said I couldn't bring it in. But it is their house and there rules. I understand that. So the family left (6 of us). Just north of down town Puecell on US77 / Green Avenue their was a cool little cafe called Boom-a-rang. They had no problem with my Starbucks coffee. They said next time I had to bring them a coffee also. We enjoyed the meal and atmosphere. The cafe had a 50's theme to it. The King (That is Elvis Presley to you young people) standing by the front door. I would recommend the chicken fried steak if you visit.

Nice little cafe. I always get the ham & egg breakfast. My husband enjoys the biscuits & gravy.

Definitely not what it used to be, prices have shot up, all of the older waitresses were gotten rid of.

So, im giving this awesome spot a solid 5 stars afyer just one visit. Reason being, I dont live…read morehere and consistency is very important to me. I dont if I will know if I will ever be back in a 100 mile radius of this awesomeness (which i would travel). The food is awesome and well seasoned. Chicken fried steak and pork chops, fried okra, green beans, etc. are on point. Different level type food. The service was friendly and accommodating, always checking on us without overdoing it. The vibe in there was awesome with great decor without being smuthering. If you're ever in the area, go. THIS IS NOT A PLATE BUT A SERVING PLATTER.

Was it good? Sure. Was it amazing? Naww. Chicken fried steak was solid enough, nicely breaded, just…read morethe right amount of crunchy breading, beef thin and tender enough to cut with just one hand and a fork. Cinnamon rolls are highly overrated, with too much grainy, crystalized icing,..Walmart makes better. Biscuits small-ish but pretty good, fresh and crumbly. The rest of our food was low flavor and forgettable. Baked potato only came with sour cream. Service was excellent - server outgoing, friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself is filled with odd, old and dated Americana all over the walls. Waiting area is itself the size of a small restaurant with mismatched furniture and country singer memorabilia everywhere. One of their bathrooms had a broken knob and locked a poor gal inside. Wait to be seated took for-ever, an hour on a slow day. Kendall's is just an okay place, nothing at all to warrant all of the hype. But not bad.
