The masseuse entered the room and began to apply pressure to my back without employing any discernible technique or rhythm. The experience resembled more of a series of slaps on my back and legs rather than a professional massage. Furthermore, the session concluded twenty minutes earlier than the hour for which I had paid. Upon arriving at the front desk, the masseuse abruptly placed my receipt in front of me and indicated a sign that mandated a 20% gratuity. I expressed my belief that a tip was not justified given the quality of service I received. The attendant then seized the clipboard as if preparing to allocate herself a tip. I retrieved it and offered a $5 tip; however, she rejected it and reiterated the requirement for a 20% gratuity. To avoid any potential alterations to the amount, I ultimately provided her with $30. I have no intention of returning to this establishment, as the experience was exceedingly disappointing.
