Tried to do a quick stop here on a road trip but there was nothing quick about it. I tried to explain this to the waitress to inform my choices but it still took an hour start to finish and nothing was great. The waitress was sweet and the fact that kids get to eat free on Friday's almost made me give this a 3 star because overall it was very affordable, but the quality of the food was just not good. My son's burger was pretty tasteless. His fries were ok. The waitress had recommended the hickory smoked salmon which had a sickly overly molasses-e sauce and was not tasty. The steamed brocoli was fine but none of it was super filling. We passed through on our way to Florida. Since we do not have a ruby Tuesday's by us any longer, we decided to stop. The restaurant was not packed, but wait for a table was about 20 minutes for a group of 6. I only ordered the salad bar and I don't think they were keeping up with it. There were several items that were either low or empty. And it was also food all over it. So I don't know how often they go through and refill and wipe down the station. I noticed when I was paying that on the paper ticket the gratuity was in 15, 18, 20 % increments. On Tuesday 11/18/25. I made an online order for the advertised special "smash burger and fries". I placed this order at 3 pm for a 530 pickup. I arrived and order was not done. A few minutes later a nice lady apologized and said that they were out of buns! On the " hamburger special " day ! I never got a phone call or text telling me that. I was told to go on the app and ask for a refund. That was not an option there. I asked for the manager, he came out and said that he would have "his boss" call me today. (Never happened). I asked for a substitute, he said he can't do that, I then asked for a refund, again, he said that he couldn't do that. So, I guess that I'm out a whole $14. It's not the money. We love this place. We love the Good Deal on the 30 day Garden Pass Salad bar all you can eat. We don't like that the corporate office charges over the amount n then puts the money back into the bank account. It's happened twice now n we don't know why they do that. But they do give it back. We love the people n the vibe. They keep it clean n do pretty great at keeping the salad bar stocked. One day they were so slammed n the only day they didn't keep up. They get orders out pretty quickly which all the patrons seem to enjoy. The only environmental complaint is that it gets too cold for customers, but we do understand when your running as a waiter or waitress that you need it to be cooler. But some days it's so cold it's like an igloo, so take your sweater n dress warm. We get salads n not hot foods so we haven't experienced our hot food getting too cold too quickly. So, At least the people can't look like a bunch of shameless hussies. Lol We have been able to come to the restaurant on a daily basis n got to know the people here. We totally look forward to seeing Logan, Lanny, Destiny, Sharon, Alley, Chastidy, Paul, Kassidy, and one of the greeters, Charlie n about the whole bunch. Most of the characters here seem to enhance each other. They are all attentive n courteous as needed. I only wish they had chicken on the salad bar but the food is fresh, too many bacon salads, we are kosher n don't eat it. The potato salad is way way too dry like it's been dehydrated n cut way too big n so that it doesn't get a chance to get soft with the dressing. But the flavor of it is good. The workers here seem to be honest n friendly. We completely enjoy being able to come here. We do recommend it n we recommend the 30 consecutive day Garden pass for 49.99 plus tax which is less than a couple dollars a day, not including gasoline n tips. But still worth it. My husband and I drove up from Chattanooga to eat there, he had fond memories of Ruby Tuesdays, I had never eaten there before. We arrived when they opened since my husband who 57, thinks like an 80 year old and likes to get places when they first open, the greetings were nice, everyone was nice there, we even had a convo with the manager who was as sweet as can be. My husband liked his Ramen dish, what I ordered I was not impressed with, the fries were good, but the Fish was horrible, Ive had better fish and chips, and Chips for Fish and Chips are supposed to be big steak fries not little skinny fries. I would love to go back and give them another chance and try something else, mainly because everyone was so nice. read more

The dining room was inviting and clean. The staff was attentive and pleasant. The food was mostly delicious. The first thing I noticed was the impressive salad bar. I didn't even notice the host standing right next to me welcoming me to the restaurant. I asked to sit at the bar. He smiled and stepped aside like a little gate keeper. I met the bartender, Stephanie. Her hospitality was a pleasant change of pace. I took an entirely too long of a time debating on what to order. There were two dishes that caught my attention. The first was one I had had in the past at other RT establishments. The Hickory Bourbon Salmon is usually a great option for me. But the there was this new item called the Island Chicken & Shrimp that was calling my name. When I talked to Stephanie about my dilemma, she said she enjoys the salmon, but to cook it with Cajun seasoning and have the hickory bourbon glaze served in a ramekin. She said the island chicken was brand new and she had never tried it. So, the salmon won the choice. I added the salad bar, which was mostly delightful. My favorite item on the salad bar at RT is the pumpernickel crouton. Right behind that is the pasta salad. The rest of the garden items I put on my plate are just for show in the event prying eyes are peeking at my selection. They are just there to make me feel better about the carbs loading I would be doing with my favorites. The only item that didn't hit well was the pasta salad. The portion I selected was still frozen, which was a surprise to me. I never realized it was a frozen dish that they thaw out until today. Everything else was fantastic, including my little delicious croutons. Thee entree was served right on time! The salmon was absolutely perfectly cooked. It had the Cajun seasoning, which provided the perfect amount of crust while the rest of it was flaky and tender. The rice was a bit old. The broccoli had a great flavor but no snap. The side of sauce was a great idea that Stephanie shared with me. I was able to dip just a bit of the salmon into it so as to not drown the Cajun flavor from the seasoned crust. The meal was mostly delicious. It had a couple of bumps in the road, but nothing that was bad. The people here are kind and hospitable. I look forward to coming back! read more

The salad bar is at the front entrance... in your face as soon as you walk in. It was a wreck.. maybe the cold wind blew it around. Employees did not appear happy. There was trash under the table we were seated at. Our waiter immediately told us how stressful it was there and that he couldn't take much more. That set a warm & inviting mood for dinner . So sad. I have stopped here every Friday for lunch, traveling from Knoxville to Chattanooga for years, and today will be my last. I usually sit at the bar and have a wine and salad bar. I have watched the price of 1 wine and salad go from $15 to $30, saw the salad bar plates replaced with smaller plates (shrinkflation) and today they just skipped key ingredients in their prepared salads like broccoli salad missing bacon, no potato salad, no croutons, no bread sticks, etc. Too bad. Then they told me the next time I stopped in, they would comp me. No, we are just passing thru. Asked to have my credit applied to my card, nope. I must come in and get it from petty cash. First time to this location. Was hesitant with several bad reviews so had low expectations. I came in around 6pm on a Tuesday. It looked clean and no issues with appearance. Only smell was food which smelled good Salad bar area was nice but a little low on supplies. Disappointed they did not have a Catalina or sweeter French dressing. I had the bourbon salmon with extra fried shrimp with mashed potatoes. All tasted great and would get them again on return Service was spotty at first but was waiting on someone and we talked a lot. This location is a hit or miss restaurant. We live locally and have visited Ruby Tuesday in Athens quite a few times. I always tell my husband that when I think of Ruby Tuesday back in the day all I can remember is the gigantic salad bar they always had the salad bar at Ruby Tuesday. Athens is definitely not that salad bar. There's not even ice in it. My husband usually gets the burgers here and that's usually pretty good. I usually order something from the calorie conscious menu the last couple of times it was the salmon it's OK it's not terrible. The dining room is usually pretty messy. This location is right off of 75 so there's a lot of people traveling that come through. There's a lot of people from the nearby hotels that come through so they stay pretty busy. These days if we do decide to go to Ruby Tuesday, it's usually because we want a relaxer. If it wasn't for that awesome drink and their drink specials for the relaxer on Fridays and Saturdays, We wouldn't go at all. The relaxers are always on point. The servers are all nice. They try really hard but there's definitely something lacking at this restaurant. Yes, probably just not enough people working there to keep up. read more

I was so looking forward to lunch at Ruby Tuesdays and was very disappointed to have such a bad experience. We had five at our table for lunch at around 2pm (the place was pretty empty) so I expected to get pretty good service and great food. The service was wonderful, but the rest left a lot to be desired. First, they had no coffee or tea (hot or cold) so we all drank ice water. I ordered a steak and asked for a baked potato, but they were out of them. I decided on a sweet potato instead. I upgraded my other side to a salad bar, which I was very impressed with. When my meal came out the sweet potato was cold enough that the butter would not even melt on it. One of my guests had ordered the appetizer sampler that came out with the pimento cheese warm and the meatballs cold. At this point I asked to see our waitress about the meal. She said she would be right there, but then disappeared. Apparently she went into the back to get the manager, but she never stopped by the table to tell us that is what she was doing. The manager did come out and took away the uneaten appetizer and brought me a fresh/hot sweet potato. When we asked for the bill I was told that mine was free, but they still charged us for the appetizer sampler. This is the worst Ruby Tuesday I've ever been to. I should have known because every other restaurant in the area was packed and there were maybe 5 cars here. I ordered a medium well steak and it came out with blood running out of it. I got tots for my side but they were all soggy and red from soaking up all the blood that was all over my plate. I was looking forward to getting the salad bar but it looked horrible. The lettuce was turning brown and there was food all over the place like it hadn't been cleaned up all day. First time here. Same as most Ruby Tuesday's! The Salad Bar (good), although highly advertised on TV, is not what it use to be. (No vanilla or chocolate pudding, nice fruits, etc.) Please, keep the salad bar clean, it looks like a "war zone"! The plastic-ware shouldn't be touching the food!
