We had such a great experience at Nick's Lakeside Grill! I ordered the "Single & Ready to Mingle" burger and my husband had the Cowboy Burger with the onion ring and BBQ sauce -- both were absolutely delicious. The burgers were juicy and flavorful, and the brioche buns were incredibly soft and fresh, which really made them stand out. I added beer-battered onion rings with my burger, and they were cooked perfectly -- crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and not greasy at all. I'm very picky about onion rings, and these were honestly some of the best I've had. We also started with the pretzel bites and beer cheese, which were warm, soft, and so good for dipping. The fries were perfectly cooked and crispy, and the sweet potato fries were next level -- especially with the marshmallow fluff cinnamon dip. That dip was outstanding and such a fun, delicious touch! Our kids' chicken nugget meal with sweet potato fries was also very good -- great quality and generous portions. Even though it was a rainy day, we sat by the window overlooking the lake and it was still such a beautiful, cozy view. It really made the whole experience feel relaxing and special. Had an awesome lunch here today. We keep our boat at the Spring City Marina and have been to Nicks several times. Today's lunch deserved a review. My Cowboy burger was excellent as was my wife's chicken salad. Service was great and the restaurant was clean and tidy. It's a great destination by land or water. read more

After boating on the lake for a few hours, we came over here on a Tuesday evening for dinner with our dog. It was hard to find boating slip openings and I hear most of the slips have been rented out so... I don't know about that. That is why I removed the Star. But we sat outside and the waitress was prompt, nice and helpful. She checked on us regularly, offering refills and boxes. With it being Tuesday, two in my party got the tacos, another got a pizza and I had the "single and ready to mingle" burger with added cheese. Everyone liked their meals and I have to say that my burger was delicious! Crisp lettuce and other toppings so it was very tasty. Another nice thing is that dogs could be inside, so that helps with it being so hot. I would come back! read more

I left a not so good review on google and I initially was not going to leave a review here. However, I got a response from the owner that was not very nice. I simply stated that communication between the server and our table was not clear. Prices on the menu were also not stated clearly in terms of if someone ask for a side of something and that the main menu item does not come with a side then they are charged the entree price for that side. Most servers would ask or point out to the customer that there is an upcharge. Additionally, not every restaurant in America charges extra for a sauce, and if that is the case then include that on the menu that the sauce is an extra charge or include it in the price of the entree. Serving customers is about being polite. Such as when I went and asked someone about specific items on my bill, I was polite and just asked for clarification, but the person whom I talked to was very annoyed at the questions I was asking. I simply wanted clarification since my server was not clear in the slightest. I also did not appreciate the server's body language changing when I went to put a custom amount for the tip in. I will unfortunately not be returning to this location. I can not speak for the other great experiences that people have had at this restaurant as I am certain there are many, however, mine and my party's experience was less than par. Left a scathing review last time I came here and swore I would never darken the door again. But there is nowhere to eat of any caliber in Spring City so reluctantly I went with friends. Didn't mention how I felt about the service and the horrendous food from previous try's. Didn't have to say a word my party I was with saw with themselves and left, vowing they would never come back again Evert everyone tried to order something to find that they were out of most items that were included with order. How do you run out of french fries. How are you out of coleslaw when you're serving fish on a Saturday night how do you not have French bread ? How are you out of lemons. ? It is very obvious that they keep no stock of any type on hand like they're gonna be quitting tomorrow . Guy doing the cooking came out and looked like he had changed a transmission on his shirt before he came to work cooking . Waitress was brushing her hair behind the bar . The pros: Service was great! They had a little dock for boaters to tie off to. Live music was awesome! French fries, fried fish and pickle fries were all tasty. (I also really like their garlic parm sauce.) The cons: Draft beer wasn't cold enough (hubby said he thinks it's because they poured it into a hot just washed mug). Boneless wings were mostly crunchy breading. Will definitely give it another shot! Next time I'll order the bone in wings instead. Overall it was good. Past reviewers were critical of the food but, we thought it was great. I had a plain jane burger with bacon. Wife had mushroom cheese burger. I had reg fries and she had sweet potato fries. Picked Nick's Lakeside Grill off the map for a July 4 weekend drive just for fun. Beautiful drive out from the Knoxville metro area. Ordered the double burger with all the toppings. It was very good. Made with two large Black Angus beef patties which were delicious and tender. You would be surprised how large. I wish I had taken a picture of it. Nice place along the marina to enjoy a meal. Seating available indoors and out. Not fancy but if everything else on the menu is as good as this you couldn't go wrong. Definitely recommend it, and would definitely go back. read more

service sucks. sit at the bar and watch the bartenders suck up to their favorite customers. Asking for another drink gets you a dirty looks. They are quick with the bill and the suggested tip. Tipping gets you nowhere with these folks. Don't think a good tip your first visit will get you any faster service on your next visit. Save your money, they don't care. If you want fast service, go in and tell the girls you are a pro fishing team, they will fawn all over you and ignore all their other customers. read more

Always hateful when calling in an order, usually out of stock of most things when you do try to order something. Too many young kids working here that are more interested in the local drama that's going on more then they are interested in their customers needs. Each time I have been kids (teens) are running around laughing and talking about the drama that's going down in the kitchen. This is UNPROFESSIONAL. We are paying customers and if you can't cater to our needs and make sure or atleast try to make sure we have a good visit then you're not worthy of our money. My opinion is the whole staff even the owners needs to be fired and let go. Start it all over again with staff that actually cares and people that are mature. Not little kids that are immature. Also the owner thinks she can just run over anyone and everyone. Just look at the responses to the reviews, she wants to argue. Not how a business is supposed to be ran. Most businesses apologize to their customers and offer to make it right . But not this restaurant. All they will do is argue with you. read more

Nick's is a nice laid back grill. Great food, good burgers. Love the appetizers! Dog friendly. Good pool tables and a family atmosphere. The wait staff does a good job. Now there is room for improvement. There is almost no vegetarian meals. Even the side salad came out with bacon bits on it. Deep fried pickles and they have a cauliflower crust pizza. Not sure what comes on it. So be aware if you have a vegetarian with you. Also they need coffee. But other than that, great place read more

We love to spend the day on the lake and grab dinner before going home. Well we go to Nick's I order water with lemon, Jim ordered Unsweetened Iced tea with lemon...waitress: we are out of lemon... I order the shrimp skewers, comes with fries and coleslaw. Jim orders pizza...waitress: we are out of pizza crust... So he orders the shrimp skewers too.. they come with 10 French fries...2 hush puppies...Jim flags the waitress down and ask for our coke slaw....waitress: oh we ran out of Coleslaw...but we have pasta, would you like some of that? This place is a joke, I don't recommend at all...we will not be coming back. So poorly managed what restaurant doesn't have lemon? They have a big sign saying "Little Italy" but no pizza and what restaurant runs out of coleslaw? I am so disgusted with trying to get a decent meal here. Never again! read more

Had a wonderful lunch on the water at Nicks today. Cheeseburger was fresh, juicy and well prepared. Crispy sweet potato fries for me and hubby had regular fries. They were big steak fries so the portion was spot on. Cajun dry rub wings were delicious too. Service was excellent and she even brought water for our dog. This small family owned restaurant is trying hard to be a good place to hang out and eat. Family friendly, good cold beer, good food, and evening entertainment on Saturday nights. They are limited because the kitchen is so small, and the last time we tried to eat there, it was going to be an hour to get food. At least we were told before we sat down. They have delicious Italian Ice, and the owners give back to the community, so give them a try. 5-star they are not, but in this small town they are one of our favorite places to go. read more

Just took my family in for one of the worst meals that I have ever experienced. The nearly $9.00 cheeseburger looked like something that is a pre-pattied, frozen hockey puck. To make that worse, it was absolutely cooked to DEATH. My wife's Philly Cheesesteak was CHARRED and had virtually NO CHEESE. The only high point were the fries and the Panini sandwich. Service was EXTREMELY SLOW and when we asked if we wanted to eat "inside or outside", we discovered that their idea of "inside" was a covered PORCH through which the main duct system for the A/C does not supply the "inside" area. When we first walked in, the entry area was VERY comfortable and cool, but this is not where they serve food. This is where they keep their POOL TABLES. Last, but not least, when I brought all of this to the attention of the management (presumably the owner's wife), I was told (when I mentioned the temperature) "This is a PORCH. The Air conditioner is in tip-top shape. We just don't COOL this area". Rest assured, we will not be going back and by the way, Yelp lists this establishment as "Closed and Unclaimed" when in actuality, it is OPEN. I guess they just got tired of the poor reviews. Last visit I ordered a burger and wings. The burger was terrible and the wings were good but pricey. The bathroom is next to the kitchen and when I come out the bathroom the cook was leaning on the partition going into the kitchen so I asked if he cooked my burger. He said "yeah, it was good wasn't it?" I said Umm NO, It was very disappointing. Tasted like it was cooked frozen and burnt. Was it? He replied yes it was frozen. Well, that explains why the burger tasted the way it did. He did however offer to make me another burger which I thought was pretty nice of him to do. However if the burgers are cooked from frozen it's not going to change the taste. I want to give a higher rating but it just wasn't worth the money. read more

Seriously sickening tonight. No popcorn shrimp, no pasta specials left at 8pm on Valentine's day. Pizza was doughy and disgusting, they reported it and they treated us like we were dogs. They removed the pizza but insisted we pay for it. RUDE AND COMPLETELY DISRESPECTFUL TO CUSTOMERS! This used to be our favorite place but the last 3 visits just got worse each time. This is tough for me as I know the owners. However, I have to be honest. We were excited to have the previous establishment bought out. We lowered so excited to try them. Well, unfortunately it was two hours to get our food. They were polite and apologized, but two hours? Kids were asleep, no one really ate. We took some of it home. Most awkward part was when the bill came. I don't want anything free. But not even an offer to discount anything? We won't be back. Have tried this restaurant multiple times, and can honestly say it used to a good place to hang out after a long day on the lake. With that being said, recently we found that the hospitality around the establishment was absolutely awful. We will never be back. The owners Curtis and leslee used to be so nice to us, but as I said, recently it has been awful. The wait for food, the prices, and especially the hospitality. Leslee has the worst attitude I've ever seen, Curtis seems like he is nice, but we hardly saw him. We were spoke down to on multiple occasions and will not be returning. Honestly we would give it a one star if that was an option. I ordered the fisherman's platter.. it came with one small piece of fish that was fried, mushy shrimp and maybe 10 fries.. this platter cost $17 and I was left starving but not wanting to order anything more. We ordered the nachos appetizer and laughed when it came out... it consisted of canned baked beans on chips with queso cheese greasy pork and warm disgusting coleslaw. My girlfriend ordered a buffalo chicken panini that was rubbery clearly frozen chicken in a poor excuse for buffalo sauce on pizza dough. Our waitress was the most unprofessional waitress I have ever encountered. Thankfully there was a manager that continued to refill our drinks. The waitress gave us our food and quickly left without coming back to ensure the food was right. As we were having a conversation with the waitress while getting our check she stopped mid conversation stared at her friends walking over and just left us in the middle of the conversation to walk over to the deck and had an inappropriate conversation with another gentlemen which at one point consisted of her pretending to hump the railing... and she never came back to finish the conversation or make sure we didn't need anything before leaving.
