Another kitchen worker preparing raw hamburger didn't change his gloves before going onto another task, but it's required to prevent the spread of bacteria from the raw burger. There's more. When the inspector checked the dishwasher, no sanitizer was running through it, but it's required to properly wash, clean, and sanitize dishes and utensils. The inspector also wrote that employees were wearing excessive jewelry. Rings, watches, and bracelets have crevices where bacteria and dirt can hide, potentially contaminating food. Another employee was observed drinking out of an unapproved container in the kitchen. I was seated quickly but waited a while for the waitress to even come and take my drink order. My food took at least 30 minutes to arrive and when I got it, I realized after the waitress walked away that I had no utensils. It took another 5-10 minutes for her to return and even realize that she had forgotten to give me a napkin/utensil. My food was good, but for a restaurant not being overly crowded, the service was ridiculous. I believe there was an issue in the kitchen that was impacting everything, but that's not a good enough excuse. Go elsewhere is my advice. read more

The food and drinks are good, and service is as well. My only beef is the portion size of the soup. For $4.49, it is a very small portion. The tomato basil soup is excellent, but the portion is tiny! I never thought I'd give Applebees a five star rating, however this time was different. This was my first time eating food from this location and the food was excellent. Steak cooked proper, all appetizers and other sides were on point with flavor and freshness. The irony is that this meal was delivered to our house and it was still the best. In my past reviews from another location I couldn't have given a worse review if I tried. Obviously the team here actually tries to make the best offerings possible. The service was great. The food was well below acceptable. We had the baby back ribs and the fish with coleslaw and fries. The ribs were okay. The fish breading was greasy and thick, not cooked thru. I love coming here for endless wings! It's usually just my partner and I so we never have to wait too long to get seated. Set up like your small town "fancy diner style", Applebees is always great for a low key date night. We went there (09/16/2023) around 4 or so and Caileigh was our server. She was so great; she's served us multiple times when we used to come in with the local rugby team and she's always been on her game. I hadn't eaten at Applebee's in over a decade. I decided to give it another try today and that was a huge mistake. This place is absolutely disgusting. I ordered the double crunch shrimp with fries and coleslaw. I was given double soggy shrimp with cold,lumpy mashed potatoes and nasty nasty nasty broccoli. Not cold, not hot. Cons: -- The large curved table is a bite to get in and out of. Depending on how many people you have you have to pick your poison on who you want to make shuffle around to get the the bathroom. She handed my ID to another big blonde lady, (assuming manager) she comes back saying "sorry can't use your ID bc it's not scanning and doesn't look real". What the hell? This poor review is due to a ridiculous policy. I ordered their 8 ounce steak. Told the waiter I didn't want any of the sides, just a side salad. Was told there would be a $1.99 upcharge. I pointed out that was absurd. Well first off the server was very approachable very informative slightly too focused on cleaning to be completely honest I know Applebees should be able to pay for manual labor they just seemed to be in a rush to close but not bad service over all. The ambiance was what it had been for a while same old Applebees you know familiarity can be nice. The music was relatively new and recognizable I even said "Applebees still vibing."The cheese sticks were just warm that's coming from who I was eating with not me. We have been coming here for years. The last time we came I was disappointed too. I order the clubhouse grill and it just wasn't as good as in the past. Today I ordered the boneless wing lunch with fries. The wings were very overcooked and had very little sauce on them and the fries were undercooked. My daughter ordered a salad and we were charge extra when we asked for more dressing. It also took a very long time to get our food. Not sure what has happened in the kitchen. read more

Chicken was a fried breast that was cut and placed on top and extra side of dressing had to be requested 2 more times. Anyways ordered my food and 30 minutes later got my food, but wasn't what I ordered. They had to remake my food. Almost 45 minutes later, finally got my food. I ordered my steak medium. It was overcooked and chewy. Having wait for almost 45 minutes I was too hungry and don't have time to wait for them to recook my steak. I don't recommend this place. Service was also mediocre. It's Applebees... It's practically the same everywhere you go. Happy hour is currently from 4-7 and 9 or 10-close most days of the week. Most of the appetizers are half price during this time, and $1 off brewtus beers and another drink special or two during then, as well. $0.99 10oz high life drafts all day every day is much better than the $2.xx they charge for a doggone sweet tea or soda. Most items are pretty good, but Applebees is just your typical uber-chain restaurant in which nothing really tastes authentic anymore. We were there Sept 8th Fri 2017. We sit at the bar & had drinks an a appetizer. I like lime In my beer and the bartender put the end of the lime in my bottle of beer I took it out & ask for another lime. She had to go to the back to get it guess she didn't want to do that the first time. They had to be the worst bartenders ever. I was never asked if I wanted a glass & had to wait to get one of their attention to get plates as we got the appetizer for two. One of the bartenders was chomping on chewing gum & looked like she was wearing pajamas. Regardless I still tipped well & she grabbed it off the bar no sooner then I laid it down like she was afraid I was going to change my mind. The restaurant looked nasty. They gave us a Buffalo chicken sandwich instead of a wrap. No big deal right, wrong, the sandwich had onions and some kind of nasty mustard sauce. My wife is allergic to onions!! This place is horrible! My family came in on Saturday, 1/22/2022, thinking we could eat, drink, and watch the Lady Vols basketball game. While waiting to be seated we noticed that every television in the place was on the same NFL football game. We were seated in the back corner, closest to the restrooms, where only one TV could be seen (at the end of the bar area). We asked our server when we placed our drink order if we could turn that one TV to the basketball game, and she did so, quickly. We waited for our drinks, and was watching the game. We were then approached by another server named Ashlynn, that informed me that there was a customer at the bar that had been there for 2 hours and wanted the TV returned to the NFL game. I stated that every other TV was on that channel, and that was the only TV we could see from our table (there were four other TV's on the NFL game in the bar area). Can we move to a different table that we can watch the basketball game on? She said "respectfully you don't have to be rude". I said I'm not being rude. She walked away from the table as she was saying, "respectfully you don't have to eat here". I said "you're right, we don't have to eat here". She turned back towards my table from the bar and shouted "leave then". I did as she rudely suggested, called the restaurant, and left a message for the manager, giving the details and my number, and asked for a call back. A week later and still nothing. We ate there on august 5th for dinner. Ordered food from a picture on the menu. When it came out it looked nothing like the picture. Didn't taste good either. Then when we ask for our check there were two drinks added onto the bill we didn't order. The server instead of taking the drinks off the check, just gave us cash back. Not a very good night. We sent in a survey and explained what happened thinking that we might be invited back and have them remake the dish we wanted last time.
