I arrived approximately at 12:32pm, as I arrived i was questioned if I had an appointment I then advised her yes at the time scheduled above Pushti Brows & Skin Therapy then stated that she was unaware of my appointment and asked if i made it before i arrived i said it was still open on her website and I wanted to get into her chair without the hassle of having to walk in to sit and wait, but since i had an appointment she refused to honor my appointment due to me making an appointment online which the client before did not have and told me i would have to wait after clients whom appointment times were after mine. When I asked if my appointment will be honored she talked down to me in front of her customers and mocked that i placed an appointment online even though the website had it available. Pushti Brows & Skin Therapy was totally unprofessional and made me feel very low for going by her rules that she set in place. I've spent a lot of money with Pushti Brows & Skin Therapy when she opened i was one of her first customers so to be treated this way due to me making a fair appointment isn't fair and i want others to be aware of this treatment as well.

Do NOT get eyebrow threading at the Fashion Square Mall or Downtown Mall. I made this mistake when I first moved to Charlottesville two years ago. Make an appointment with Palvi first! As a result of a bad eyebrow experience, it prompted me to grow my eyebrows. Didn't tweeze, wax or thread for almost two years! I had full eyebrows when I had them done with Palvi, she cleaned 'em up, shaped and kept it thick. I also have to mention that my face has a significant asymmetry, but now that my eyebrows are even! My facial asymmetry is less noticeable! I'm emphasizing the full eyebrow thing disclaimer because most people would maybe think over plucked eyebrows would magically look okay... usually the issue is not with the business... it's with the client's high expectations.

She had the audacity to say that I came in with thin eyebrows and I showed her a selfie I took this morning and she had the nerve to ask me "oh those are your eyebrows?" This one was difficult…read more I scheduled a pedi for mom and myself Friday October 8, but had to cancel. The person on the phone was very understanding and polite and we rescheduled for the following Wednesday at the same time, 1:30 p.m. She had mentioned wanting to have a pedicure and since I'm new to the area, I wanted to give the place up the road a try. You know, support a small business, etc. When I was told that there was only one technician, I shrugged it off and was glad to give her the business. I would later regret that decision. We arrived right on time and there was another client, which normally I wouldn't care, but we had to sit in uncomfortable silence waiting. Mom is used to a salon with a lot of people working, like before COVID and I tried to explain that businesses have had to lay people off, or can't afford too many people. Still, I had a sinking feeling she would be disappointed and I was right. Since I come from a service background, I find myself continuously walking the tightrope between making excuses for bad service and excusing it. This was not bad service, just the perfect storm of our manicurist being behind schedule and my mom being extremely particular. The salon is beautiful and immaculate. "V" was extremely polite, professional and talented. But needs to manage her time better. We opted not to have polish, just a quick clean-up, then V suggested Paraffin for mom. I just kept agreeing to everything. The pedicure was ok, but there was no massage, which is half the reason I go. (I guess it's extra, but since we forwent the polish, I thought just even 5 minutes would be nice.) It was $90 with tip. Lesson learned, take mom to the spa, go to pedi alone.
