The prices aren't low, but they're fair. Similar items selling on Poshmark and eBay and other such sites are going for double and sometimes triple the prices that they are asking for. They are extremely knowledgeable in their vocation. They know what they're doing and they know the proper price point. They also offer really cool and unique up-cycled products. I urge you to go check out the up-cycled vintage 80s jeans. Vintage Shop Carmel is also a consignment shop so if you yourself are looking to sell vintage or antique goods, including clothing and purses at a great price, they're the ones for you. Last, but not least the ladies who own and work at the shop are absolutely positively incredible. Not only are they knowledgeable, but they are funny. They are kind. They are down to earth and they are helpful. I have a lot of experience with vintage shops and consignment shops, and I have always felt slightly uncomfortable and out of place. Came across this little shop just walking around the village and I was so happy to find out they were reopened for business (after all the shutting down during covid). It's got the cutest vibes and their prices are still pretty reasonable. Love their style and how friendly the staff is. The best part is they package your purchase in a reusable tote (not only does this save plastic but you can totally reuse it!). There's a small shoe section (mostly women's) and some hand crafted, trendy, earrings (perfect for summer!). This place is EVERYTHING! They have limited hours during the Winter. Thursday and Saturday…read morestarting at 10 am until 3. I saw a small sign while driving by and went in. WOW it's like 3,000 sq feet of thrifting! They have everything. Separate rooms dedicated to mens, kids, plus size, shoes, high end home goods, seasonal....omg! Constantly changing inventory and styles for everyone. I'm a vintage enthusiast. I can shop here while my 14 year old and 6 year old also shop for themselves! Pricing is more than fair! I feel guilty sometimes and make donations. They often have $5 bag sales. If that's not enough, this store also serves as a community food bank while open. There is a deep freezer full of meat and other things. A table full of bread rolls and pastries. A section of dry pantry goods. People can come in and just help themselves to fill up a bag of food, no questions asked!!! This has become my #1 place to donate, shop and now, volunteer! The space is calming that I literally feel it's a meeting place as much as a shopping experience. If you been here before, there have been many changes....try it again!

"The Hunt" is a great name for a thrift store but this is so much better than a thrift store (ESPECIALLY if you live remotely close to New Milford, which unfortunately, I don't). This is a community, this is an artist guild with all of the possible artistic media you could think of, & a family with purpose. Want to learn a craft? Want to go with your bestie on a random afternoon and paint custom ceramic banks shaped like cheeseburgers and narwhals? Come for the tragically dying arts and stay for the people (mostly Jayson) & the purpose. And don't forget to "Take a rock, leave a rock." You can purchase pieces completed by local artists - like Jayson's glass-blowing daughter or others' stunning yarn projects but... don't think you're leaving with an ugly-ish 1940s Chaise Lounge your Mom likes because that isn't happening here. ALL the pieces I brought to the check-out had colored plastic tags poked through the items. The colors correspond to whether the item is 50% off that day or not. The clothing has colored plastic but are not individually priced with a paper tag. THUS all the prices are what are posted on the SIGNS at the ENDS of the racks throughout the store. What I am talking about in my review is how, when you get to the check-out, they decide NOT TO HONOR the posted prices on the SIGNS they have posted throughout the store (see photo of one that I attached.) I am NOT talking about "nefarious" behavior where someone has REMOVED an individually priced paper tag on a clothing item, because your store has VERY FEW individually priced pieces of clothing on the racks.
