Private entrance led to a large bright room with microwave and mini-fridge, tv, table and chairs and very comfortable king sized bed. The light colored bedding, long flowy ivory curtains and the sound of the creek right outside our windows created a very romantic/peaceful vibe. Bathroom is large and nicely appointed. There are two private patios, creekside, just down from the house. My boyfriend and I enjoyed sitting by the fire, listening to the water and sipping Prosecco. Then there was breakfast.....SO delicious. Stan made us what I would consider a very cheffy/gourmet meal; salmon, potatoes, eggs, fruit salad, english muffin and his homemade raspberry butter. Coffee and great conversation with Stan and the other guests made for a really nice time. Hummingbirds galore, places to hike and admire nature if you chose, or sit and just relax. It's also close enough to town to be most places within a few minutes. Wonderful experience, thank you Stan! Would 100% recommend and we hope to be back.

We later tried contacting them with some simple questions and received no response for over a month. We tried calling, the phone numbers were disconnected, the website was down and they did not return any of our emails. Apparently they have gone out of business and taken our money. We had over 100 people rsvp and make flight rental car hotel reservations etc to come to our wedding. They couldn't even give us a heads up they were closing and taking our money. I'm sure we weren't the only ones. The least they could have done was alert us so we could make other plans. Now all other venues are booked. These people are not to be trusted.

We planned to visit aspen and this is a little bit of a longer drive but was way more affordable than staying in aspen. We had a great experience here. There's a beautiful walking trail next to the river right behind the hotel. The pool, spa and gym are great. Also the best part was the free dinner shuttle to miners claim restaurant down the street! It was a golf cart with LED lights and music that dropped us off right in front of the restaurant and picks you up when you're done. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area!

The rooms are clean, clean, clean. The mattresses are really comfortable which is a rarity with a bad back. I arrived at 11:10pm to find that there were quite literally no employees at the hotel and nobody to book me in. There was a number for the manager and an emergency number. The first was going to voicemail, the second was disconnected. I attempted to call every number behind the desk and eventually found the number for the front desk employee who kindly told me to go f*** myself. I eventually found the one remaining room in the town which was at a cheap motel for an exorbitant rate. Someone from the hotel called me at 6 in the morning the next day and left a threatening message. This is an extremely dangerous situation. If there is a fire, there is nobody there to call 911. If you get locked out of your room, there is nobody there to make you a new key. If there is a disturbance among guests there is nobody there to step in and resolve the issue or call the police. Chase is not interested in refunding my points.
