I have tried pretty much all of the nail places in the area and Ruby is my favorite. I am a regular now. Other places can be super crowded with long waits. I have never had an issue with this at Ruby. They go above and beyond with customer service and remember their clients. During the holidays they gave out wrapped gifts, such as hand lotion etc. One day they knew I was there after a long day of taking care of my baby and they let me spend extra time in the massage chair even after my manicure and pedicure was complete. They are the nicest people and take credit card, which is a plus. I recommend them to anyone who asks me for a nail location now! read more

I have been going to this nail salon since I was little, and they have never failed to please! Every nail appointment exceeds my expectations, and the nail techs are always friendly. I absolutely love my nails, and if you go here, I'm sure you will as well! In regard to their handling of the current situation, I have to say, I am extremely pleased. They check your temperature when you walk in, squirt some hand sanitizer on your hands, and have erected plexiglass between the nail tech and yourself. Sorry I have been here three times. The first time was great. 2nd time the gel popped off 2 nails the next day. Third time - worst fill in I have ever had. There are literally bumps on my nails. Amazing place to go for dip powder manicure! Reasonable price especially for Long Island, and manicure always lasts super long too. I absolutely have to give this salon five stars. We recently visited the establishment to get our nails and toenails done. I have to say it's spotless. The owner is extremely attentive to detail and was constantly cleaning the stations, the chairs ... everything. The technicians are very adept at what they do and provide a great quality experience. I would not hesitate to recommend this business. There have a wide range of pedicure services and they have gel nails as well. There are plexiglass separators between you and the technician at the manicure and pedicure stations. The owner takes your temperature before you enter the business. My original nail salon in St. James closed down post Covid....wanted to stay local, tried a few, and Ruby Nails was the winner for me. Place is extremely clean, and everyone that has taken care of me was always professional and just lovely. Regular manicure lasts over a week without chipping or fading and the gel can last up to 3 weeks. Pedicure is gentle and relaxing, excellent massage. Very easy to schedule appointment. The only negative thing I have to say, is sometimes the play movies on the tv, and some of them are a little too much for me, but then again, I'm not there for the entertainment. read more

I got a $45 pedicure and they told me it would be 10$ extra for French and 10$ for gel and somehow my pedicure came 83$. Be careful of their pricing. Would not recommend unless you want a outrageously overpriced pedicure. read more

I went today for the first time but besides being expensive, in my eyes, the manicure was with no over coating or whatever they do when they finish putting the polish on. I didn't even have to put my nails under the dryer, which is a first for me! My pedicure was ok but she decided not to put polish on them so all she did was cut and shape. This is a great family place with the best service. There's no where I'd rather go. The best quality, great reasonable pricing and will do anything you ask. June is amazing and so friendly and most places I've tried before finding this gem made me feel uncomfortable and I always felt as if the workers were talking about me and never made an effort to have a conversation with you but they truly care not only about your nails but have quality conversations and are like family.
