I'm a sucker for any Christmas thing or store. So when I was visiting my son I noticed there was a Christmas store within walking distance. I begged my mom to go (she likes Christmas too). But it closed in 15 minutes! So we hurried over there and it was dark and cold outside which added to the Christmas spirit. Walking up to it I already was giddy. It had a window display that just looked magical from the outside. Walking in, it was small yet cozy. So many different items to look at. I tried to be mindful of the closing time so we looked at everything pretty quickly but I just soaked it all in. I've always wanted a nice snow globe bc they remind me of my son. I found one there I liked with the nativity story in it along with a wind up song. I bought it and they wrapped it up for me since I flew out the next day. Unfortunately the TsA agents didn't let me board the plane with it!!!!!!! So my son went back 2 days later and bought another one!!;) and now we just have to figure out how to get it to me. Probably will have to ship it to me and hopefully it gets to me safely. But boy what a journey just for this snow globe! lol But this store gets the sale of two snow globes so I'm helping small business I guess;) Loved this place and if I'm in the area again during Christmas, I'd love to come again and see what they new things they have. This is a decent little flower and gift shop that is about what you would expect. They are located off the Indian Creek Plaza and thus are often slammed, and then the customer service suffers a bit. Among the things, I think they could do better on is helping find the exact arrangement the customer wants. I wanted to take one of their standard arrangements and upsize it and add to it and they kind of treated me like I wanted something for nothing and threw a few extra flowers into it instead. Usually, when I say I'm looking for something more, I'm expecting they'll work with me and I will pay more. Most people call that upselling; I thought I was signaling "really, you can upsell me, I'm looking for something more elaborate." However, I'm not going to complain if they want to give me a little upsizing and at no extra cost. read more
