Unfortunately, my recent experience has shown that this business has taken a sharp decline in professionalism, integrity, and basic customer service. On January 28th, I called to place an order for two Valentine's bouquets to be delivered to the same address in Homedale. Since I had previously had an account with them, I inquired whether I could place the order under that account and pay the balance on February 21st. The employee checked my account, confirmed that this was possible, and we discussed the details of the order at length. The total was $160, and I was glad to pay it under the agreed terms. Then, on February 13th, I received a call informing me that our entire agreement had been conveniently erased. According to the employee: - I had never inquired about my account. - I had never placed an order. - I had never provided my address or payment details. - I had never discussed a February 21st payment. This was completely false. I have proof of my order, yet they insisted that my account had notes stating I was ineligible for credit. If that were truly the case, why was I assured otherwise when I placed the order? To make matters worse, I was suddenly informed that all Valentine's orders required prepayment, a policy that was never disclosed when I placed my order. I called back and attempted to resolve the situation. It was in my best interest to be cordial, at the very least. When I attempted to calmly clarify the situation, I was hung up on twice. When I finally spoke with the owner, rather than engaging in a professional discussion, she quickly became agitated, defensive, and outright dismissive. Instead of working toward a solution, she chose to cancel my order, block my number, and declare that she was "exercising her right to refuse service." This experience was particularly frustrating because Caldwell Floral had, in the past, provided excellent service and high-quality arrangements. I had no reason to doubt their professionalism before, but this recent experience has made it clear that they no longer operate with the same level of care and integrity. I approached this situation professionally and in good faith. Instead of resolving the issue with honesty and respect, Caldwell Floral chose to rewrite history, stonewall my attempts to communicate, and resort to hostility rather than accountability. This experience has made one thing clear: Caldwell Floral is not a business you can rely on. If you place an order, be prepared for the possibility that they may renege on their agreements, dismiss your concerns, and treat you with complete disregard. Within 2.5 hours of ordering online, and adding a special request for a little extra red, I received an email confirming delivery today and a fabulous "BloomSnap" of the actual arrangement that was delivered! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I can't speak highly enough about this flower shop. I live in CA and needed to order a sympathy arrangement to be sent to a family member in Idaho and I randomly found Caldwell thru an internet search. I'm so happy that I picked them and here's why: I saw an arrangement on their website that I liked, it came with a glass cross, I did all of the necessary steps and placed the order. Later that day I received an email and they had noticed that the same exact arrangement had been sent just a few days before and asked if I would like to change it out any way - I thought that was SO INCREDIBLE, that 1st of all they even noticed a thing like that and that they bothered to let me know about it and give me the opportunity to change my order (which I did of course.) Then I found something else that I liked that was close in price and told them that I'd pay any overage fees and since the price was close enough they did it for me at no extra charge - ANNNND hand delivered it BEFORE NOON!! Super full arrangements that are showcased in stunning vases! This floral shop is the best we have ever found. They really care about their customers and are so very friendly. About a year ago my husband used a different florist and spent a LOT of money on an arrangement. When it was delivered it was horrible! There were only about 5 actual flowers in the arrangement and it was put into a cheap vase. I won't name that floral place....I will leave that for a yelp review later. I sent an email and received a reply that mistakes were made in the online ordering that made it look like it was done. When the driver was asked if the flowers were delivered the initial answer was yes then retracted. I was refunded 50% and the flowers were delivered Wednesday. My best friends dad passed away and her mom (she's like my own mom) received quite a few flower deliveries from different florists in the area. We were very impressed with the quality of the arrangements that came from Caldwell Floral. Since we didn't know that we had flowers being delivered, we weren't home when they attempted delivery of one of our arrangements. The delivery driver called mom to ask when would be a good time for the delivery. We scheduled a time and the driver was there exactly at the agreed upon time. Actually the driver was pulling up at the same time we were pulling into the driveway! Lol. The driver was very friendly and offered her condolences which was nice. None of the other floral delivery drivers did that. Anyway, after getting the arrangement inside we noticed that the container for the arrangement had a crack in it. Normally I wouldn't care, but this particular arrangement had a bunch of succulents and cacti in a wooden box with handles and one of the handles had cracked. It looked as though a repair was attempted, but was unsuccessful. I do NOT believe that Caldwell Floral was the one who tried fixing the broken handle. I called the store and spoke with Cindy and told her about the crack. Cindy was very apologetic and told me that the container that I had was the last one in stock. She offered for me to come in and look at what they had and select a different container and she would redo the arrangement for me. Because things have been so crazy, it took me just over a week and a half to go in to have the container switched out. When I walked into the shop I was greeted by a really nice woman. I explained the situation to her and she went and got Cindy from the back of the store. Cindy immediately remembered me and the situation and had me go with her into the back of the store to go through the different containers and select a new one for the arrangement. I quickly found a very cute container and Cindy redid the entire arrangement & even went as far as re-inflating the balloon that originally came with the delivery. She was very nice and very helpful. As I waited for the arrangement to be done, I looked around the store and was taken aback by how reasonable the prices were! The prices were seriously less than what you pay at Albertsons & the quality was far superior! I highly recommend Caldwel Floral for any of floral needs. Thank you Cindy for everything!! What a great experience it was. Robin really listened to me (that skills is really hard to find these days) and created something I was proud to give my co-worker/friend. This bouquet would put a smile on anyone's face. Thank you Robin--you have impeccable listening skills. I would highly recommend this florist and only wish I could stop by and thank her personally. Ordered flowers to be delivered to my sister on behalf of her kids for Mother's Day, me and the kids are in California- so we only had contact with the shop over the phone they were so rude even the first time we spoke to them, then we realized we had given the wrong address so we called back to correct it and the employees were even worse this time around and asked to speak to a manager, was passed to the owner who was also super rude. I had a floral arrangement sent to my wife for Valentines day on Saturday 02/13/16. I was embarrassed at what I saw... dying flowers that are discolored and squashed, greenery that looked like weeds, and no water in the vase. I could have bought flowers from Walmart, spent half the amount, and atleast gotten decent looking flowers. I havent heard back yet on what they are going to do about this. I hope everyone else has better luck with their arrangements. New remarks: We went to the store front and explained my situation. The lady was very nice and friendly and very apologetic. They did a full refund (confirmed) and they gave me a flower arrangement that was in their show case (pictured) that were amazing. While I'm reading many of the experiences that are printed in this florist's YELP and website reviews, I'm wondering what happened to my experience? When I called two weeks before I needed the arrangement delivered and spoke with Cindy, she suggested I call back closer to the needed date. When I did, she was abrupt so I offered to call another florist as she said she was preparing to leave on vacation. However, she warmed up, took my order, offered her artistic thoughts and assured me that she would take good care of my order. As a side note, I was very specific when I was talking with her as to the type of flowers, color, standing spray style, etc. and that it was for the private burial service of my sister. I told her that would be the only arrangement at the burial, gave her the specific date and time of the service and she assured me that it would be delivered to the funeral home by noon that day so they could bring it to the cemetery. When I arrived at the cemetery, the arrangement was not there! I called and talked with Cindy and she told me that it was out for delivery with other arrangements headed to the location of the memorial service for the next day's service. I was floored! Here I am preparing to bury my little sister and Cindy is making excuses without apology and making their mess up my fault - that's rich. I ask you this... when you place an order with a reputable business, should you need to follow up and make sure that everything is in order, especially when you're grieving? And as their final word, not 10 minutes later during the service, I received the following text from Caldwell Florist... "I'm sorry for the misunderstanding, however, there is no information listed for 'xxx' in her obituary that indicates anything would be happening today. The service is at 1 p.m. tomorrow and that is the only information we have or were ever given. We called the 'xxx' to double check with 'xxx' who works there, to see if she would be able to receive them today for us and take care of them until the service tomorrow, they are headed over there right now. We are 100% confident that you never mentioned they needed to be there by noon today. Our policy is always to type as you speak so that there are no informational mistakes, and our notes are 100% verbatim. They do not mention anything about being delivered today by noon. We are sorry if this is not being delivered at the time that you wish, but we had no way of knowing without the informational being shared. If there was a viewing or burial today, 'xxx' did not make this information public, or inform us of this fact. According to the information we have from them, and the information provided to the public, the only service there will be is at 1 p.m. tomorrow at 'xxx'. It does mention that there will be a private interment at the cemetery, but when the burial is private they do not release the details as to when. The only possibility we can think of is you spoke to Liz prior to placing the order & mentioned a burial, and then called back later and placed the order with Cindy. However, the burial time was not mentioned to Cindy when placing the actual order. Have a good weekend and God bless." With full disclosure as shared verbatim above, you be the judge - but I would think twice before doing business with Caldwell Floral for your funeral/sympathy floral needs. I had a family friend that had cancer surgery and I wanted to send some flowers after she had been home. I literally just picked the first place I found on google(which happened to have 4.5 stars, I later saw) and it was only 10 minutes away from where I wanted them delivered in Greenleaf. The bouquet in the picture was beautiful anyway but I decided to bump up to the deluxe version. I am blown away by what was sent based on what I paid! It was absolutely gorgeous and my friend absolutely loved them!! Also, I ordered them very early in the morning Saturday and she had them by 1:30 the same day!! "We are making no contact deliveries" is still posted on here as of 4/9/20. I realize that may not be updated, but as a kind gesture to the person making the delivery, in case they are still social distancing, I indicated that it was okay to leave my order on the porch if needed. The order that I placed was for my mother in law on her birthday and to send something beautiful and cheery as my father in law passed away a few weeks ago. The arrangement that I selected online, was stunningly beautiful (that's why I am giving 2 stars and not one). On the day of the delivery, the owner called and was extremely rude. Extremely. Both in her voicemail and upon returning the call. She stated that the flowers would be delivered between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m. as she had "other things to take care of." I don't care what time they are delivered nor do I care that the person has other things to do. I paid $15.00 for delivery, but if delivering flowers interferes with your other tasks, maybe that shouldn't be offered as an option. The big issue was that she said that we could just come pick up the flowers and she would not guarantee them nor did she want to leave them on the porch as it is very hot out - close to 100 degrees. I get that. I also knew that someone would be there all day, and most importantly I stated that it was okay to leave on the doorstep/porch as a nice/safe gesture to the person delivering for the floral shop if they preferred to do that. It is okay to be nice when you don't agree with or understand something. I know that she was very concerned about the flowers wilting and dying in the heat, but her rude tone and attack mode and wanting us to just pick up the flowers because she is too busy is ridiculous (they weren't ordered the same day for goodness sake). The attitude and tone that was presented was not okay for a business, especially the owner. I have seen their reviews on other sites and I'm sure I'm in for a unapologetic not taking ownership, rude reply. Although this shop has some amazingly beautiful floral arrangements, I will not order from here in the future as rudeness should not be tolerated from businesses.
