I hate writing reviews like this. I needed a massage bad yesterday. Massage envy didn't have anything available for me and I've called different sites... I've even called different massage places and nothing. This was the only one that had a therapist available. I've never been to this place so I thought I'd give it a shot also and I've been to numerous different massage places here in AZ.. My therapist was so nice. Unfortunately I couldn't remember her name. She asked me what did I need or what can she worked on. I explained to her that to mainly focus on my back. My shoulders and upper back were very tight. With the type of job I have. My lower back hurts really bad too so I told her to focus on that as well.. She asked what pressure and I told her medium. As she was working on me, her pressure was okay. The massage overall wasn't that very great. Especially, the part where she massaged my hands and arms. I felt like I couldn't feel much pressure. I'm not sure how long she's been doing massages but I honestly felt like she wasn't doing it for very long.. At the end of the massage, she asked how I was feeling. I told her good. I didn't want to be rude because she was so nice. The receptionist asked if I wanted to schedule another session. I told her no. I honestly think this was one of the worst massages I've ever had. For non member I paid $85. I still gave my therapist a $20. She was really nice. Definitely not worth coming back though for a massage. My back is still in pain. . and felt like I didn't really get a massage :( read more

Wow! What a great experience from walking in the door till we left! My treatment was wonderful

I have been going to this place for almost a year. I started-going when the students were doing the massages on the weekends. I know they don't have any more students so I decided to go back today. I've actually had a much better massage by the students and I do today, I told her the areas that I want to work on and she told me that we didn't have time. Also, did she not ever check in with me to see how the pressure wise. I don't feel any more relaxing when I went in. read more

As a 'Loyalty Member', I would like to give this studio a 5 star but due to their broken online booking platform Im having to modify my rating. The phone msg and staff encourage members to use their online booking. However after 2 days @ 45 mins each and Not being able to get the appt I signed up for to process a payment- I give up! I even reset cookies and cleared my cache on two diff search engines. It begins to be a waste of time and makes me wonder WHY pay to be a loyalty member if I cannot get an appt. Ive watched the massage times Ive signed up for dwindle away for 2 days. Every time I get to the "Submit Payment" button....an error msg appears. Pls fix the site. read more

Clean, Relaxing and Friendly Place Off The Beaten Path A Ways... Dolores was a friendly therapist. She would be ideal for women and clients seeking the gentle touch and relaxing style of massage with lots of moving the joints around. She takes some time to feel around and find little knots and "congestions" And is interactive about what she is doing. The downside is with Delores it doesn't seem like you get much of a massage, just a lot of arm stretching and touching. Honestly I felt let down when I left and made a review and didn't want to be too harsh about it since everyone seemed nice. Nice private rooms that are clean and smell good. The heated bed was a nice touch as I was cold before and it warmed me right up. They have nice fleece blankets that go on top too instead of just a chilly sheet or towel like many places. All in all this is a nice little place, but I just didn't have much luck.... read more

I love this massage studio! Super friendly staff too. I got a chair massage by Natasha. I work on my computer all day and she was able to identify the exact spots where I was all knotted up. The pressure was perfect. Next I got the foot massage by Dolores. She started with a peppermint massage lotion which smelled amazing. She was able to get all the kinks out and she told me I was dehydrated due to the location of where the knots were. I also got a mini facial and eyebrow wax. My face felt smooth and hydrated and I felt depressurized after my time at the spa. Love this place! Staff was super nice! read more

My experience at Rubs has been pleasant. I have been here twice and have had appointments with Kiki and Becky. Both times for prenatal massage. They both were really great and both asked how I was doing in the process - checking comfort, pressure, etc. The manager Hailey and other staff members I've come in contact (on the phone or in the front) have always been nice and welcome which makes me want to come back. I've had several experiences elsewhere that made me feel like just a number...they just wanted me to fill out paperwork and quickly get me in and then the therapists would constantly bring up knots and other things I need to work on ( which felt like a horrible way to sell me on coming back). I had my first experience with a massage at the Rubs Massage Studio in Chandler at the end of December. Steven was incredible and very focused on helping me with issues with my legs. I was having problems with them aching and hurting when I got up from sitting at my desk for long hours. It has now been over 2 months and I have not had any recurring problems with my legs. My visit was amazing, so much so I have booked another one this month with Steven once again. Finding a good massage therapist is like finding a good hair stylist or nail technician. I've been in Arizona for a year and some change and have been to every chain of massage parlors, small mobile therapists, as well as some Asian places too. But none of them took care of me like Rubs! The gentleman who has been doing massages for 10 years released so much tension. The way he handled my body left me satisfied. I woke up on the table with drool running out my mouth. He did some reshifting of my spine, never done before but I obviously needed it. I rebooked with him on the spot for 2 weeks. read more

They were very accommodating of my busy schedule and worked hard to ensure I could get in for a much needed massage. I met Kris and she took awesome cate of the endless knots literally from in my hands down to my feet. Just walked in and had an hour long therapeutic massage. This place is super close to my house so I thought I would try it out. It was probably one of the most enjoyable massages I've ever had! My husband and I recently both got facials at Rubs Massage. I had Amber Raye; she was informative and explained every product and step throughout the experience. My husband received a facial from Maggie. He said she did a wonderful job, very thorough and so relaxing. When I was there, the receptionist Ashlee was extremely welcoming, and explained to me the membership, which I purchased. She wasn't pushy which was another plus. When my husband went, Caulene was the receptionist. He said that she was also pleasant to work with. We will be returning next month! read more

Went for a couples massage with my boyfriend as new clients at this massage studio and it was an awesome experience! They had a great deal for new clients and we loved our time there. Amber Raye and Dolores were our massage therapists and they both did a wonderful job. My boyfriend and I have done quite a few couples massages over the years, but we have never had stretching incorporated into the massage with such care and expertise like we did here. Just got done with the best facial ever. Maggie was my esthetician, she was extremely knowledgeable and took her time explaining the products and what they will do for my skin. She has very gentle hands and even the parts of a facial that could be uncomfortable were so relaxing. I enjoyed every minute and will be visiting her again very soon. My wife and I had an evening couples massage at Rubs. The studio is clean and inviting. The lady that booked our massage was very pleasant and accommodating! I don't know if they had the C-Team working Friday evening or what the deal was. Neither my wife or I were impressed with our therapist. Her therapist seemed uninterested like she hated her job. My therapist smelled like a dirty ash tray and seemed like she was tweaking. Worst massage I have ever had. She attempted trigger point, but clearly had no idea what she was doing and I left less relaxed than when I arrived. That breath haunted me the rest of the evening and the weird incomprehensible conversation she tried to have with me before, during and after the massage session is still ringing in my ears. I suspect that Rubs has some really good therapist, but the fact that they have some like this... I would recommend not rolling the dice. read more

Amazing experience! I had a full spa day, and since the very beginning the experience was great! Front desk was very welcoming, the atmosphere was relaxing and everything was spotless. Desiree gave me an incredible facial, was very helpful in explaining what she was doing and why. Maggie waxed my underarms and legs, she made me feel very comfortable and made the experience as smooth and non painful as possible. I also had a massage with Amber, she was very relaxing and helped me get rid of some neck and upper back pain. read more

I really want to give 5 stars but I can't. Rubs has a nice facility, experienced masseuses (most of the time), their prices are much better than massage envy. They have a lot going for them. The only down side is their turn over is crazy. I have literally gone through at least 5 therapists there. Ill find one i like and schedule a follow up appointment. By the time the appointment happens the therapist has already quit or is no longer there for whatever reason. I have found at least 3 that were very skilled and very good. Problem is they aren't there to book appointments with anymore. Management, please do something to retain your employees! I hate having to schedule every massage with a different therapist every time i go. Please make sure the pay and benefits are up with standards and please make sure employees have reliable transportation and all that before hiring them. It's really becoming irritating. Other than that you are running a great business and i still enjoy coming in for a massage. I just want to find a good therapist there and be able to stick with that person. Thank you. read more

I was referred to Rubs Massage Studio in Chandler by family and booked an appointment for a 50 minute deep tissue massage with Desiree. She was attentive to my needs and applied perfect pressure. This was my first massage ever and she did an excellent job making me feel comfortable. After my massage Desiree provided water and the front desk let me leave a tip on my card. I did the 80 minute massage, foot rub, and facial. I did all three services with Amber Raye. She is amazing. She is in constant communication with you regarding pressure, technique, and your needs. I feel safe with her; she is always conscientious of my body and comfort. The room was clean, quiet, and a pleasant temperature. I hadn't had a spa facial prior to coming here, so I didn't know what to expect or if it was a waste of money/time, but it was a soothing and cleansing experience. My face felt super clean and looked amazing after Amber Raye was done. The products the salon uses smell great, they aren't greasy or cakey, and they don't burn. I also did not break out afterwards like I anticipated I would. I would recommend coming here :) the building does feel like a bit of an office space once youre in the back, but that is totally fine with me. This isn't the marbled floor, claw foot tub, feed you grapes while fanning you type salon. read more
