I was told that it was due to frequently missed appointments, I had a missed appointment May of 2015 due to jury duty and she missed an appointment this morning due to her not feeling well; which I called to inform them of this morning. It doesn't help that the practice's voicemail is not set up to accept messages and the practice is also closed on Fridays. I spoke to Kathy who proceeded to tell me that I had no respect for the dr or the practice and repeatedly placed me on hold and when she returned to the phone she proceeded to discuss the matter with her co-workers in the background as if I wasn't on the phone. She informed me that she had no time to spend on this matter when I informed her that the cancellation policy on their website differed from the action that was being taken and I asked for an explanation as to why. I also requested that if that if this was in fact their policy that I would like to receive their decision in writing and she refused and stated I could document our call. Her behavior was completely unprofessional and rude. I requested a call back from the dr and asked an estimated time frame of when I could expect a call back, she stated she could not give me one and proceeded to hang up. Policies should remain consistent and should not vary based on who the client is, which I believe is the case in this instance. I would not deem one missed appointment last year and one missed today as excessive. Their policy should updated to reflect dismissal from the practice, if that's in fact the case.

We were discharged from his practice today after not getting an x-ray which he ordered. He became…read moreirate, raising his voice with both volume and hostility, saying, "I've been doing this for too long [to deal with sort of conflict]". He would not negotiate to a mutually equitable win-win solution but unilaterally shut us out. I am an MD practitioner of thirty years who has dealt with a large portion of musculoskeletal pathology in the chronically disabled, depressed and impoverished. Based upon my experience, there certainly was an "indication" to order the x-ray. Yet, given my closeness to the patient, my wife, on our fixed senior income and no insurance, the practical benefit of the x-ray would be minimal if anything, other than to document what we already knew about her condition. He went on to be angry for our being late twice and rescheduling once all due to our poor ability to deal effectively with the snowy weather. He also accused me of not returning his calls which actually was not true at all. Certainly it is his right to choose only those who will comply, within certain limits, with his program. For those of us who prefer to question authority, who make mistakes in terms of judging our own limits with scheduling and who are short on finances (in our case for spending a lifetime working with the poor and bereft of our population) he is not the health case provider of choice.

I am a single mom of 3 and at the time I lived in greece, & driving to the office in chili with 3 small kids / one with autism, was not always easy....well after exactly 3 late appointments we were dropped. Completely dropped from the office. I mean I understand rules but just very disappointed with how insensitive the workers were and it ended up being a negative experience. I really wanted to like the office itself but it seemed the people there were just not the friendliest, and obviously it wasn't a fit for a working / single mom with three kids. ‍

Upon entering, my son was able to run directly to a play area with a wide variety of toys while I checked in for the appointment. Within five minutes, we were brought back to a spacious room where the dental assistant explained all of the equipment and parts of the visit to my son. The hygienist put fluoride on his teeth (his flavor choice), he saw the dentist, and got to pick out a toothbrush. At the end, he got a coin to use on the "prize tower", and walked away from the visit very happy. I should also mention that I had a baby with me, who had a blowout and wanted to eat while we were there... and I was able to change and feed her with ease. I highly recommend this office!!!

This is after also calling U of R ortho in Webster (phone lines had an hour+ wait). Then over to WellNow (doesn't do imaging) and finally to UR Urgent Care on Empire who was open and does do imaging. They confirmed the break, got us stabilized and referred over to Galisano. All's well that ends well but talk about disconcerting.
