Although this place is in transition right now, and just getting established, I had a most unpleasant experience. The dentist's work was fine, but I felt like they were really rushing to get me out of there so that they could get to the next patient. The dental assistant came to look at my films on the computer. I asked her if she could see the cavity in question. She said, "No. And if I could, I couldn't tell you. I'm NOT a doctor." Geez. So nice. She had to leave me for about 15 minutes so I had lots of time to look around the room. Next to the computer was a post it note that said, "Clock out for lunch/ Moron/ Clock in after lunch/ Moron." Wow. Double wow. I was moved to another room to get my fillings done. I sat in the chair. Normally, they adjust the headrest right away so that you are comfortable, but not here. Two times they left my head hanging off the headrest, and I had to ask them to adjust it for my comfort. The dentist told me, "Well, Gabby (the assistant) is busy right now with a lot of stuff." And he backed it up with "Gabby was handpicked by me from a pool of 35." Wonderful. I'd hate to see what the other 34 candidates were like! Top of a pool of 35 candidates but you can't take a minute to adjust the headrest. He found the start of a couple of other cavities, but "I can't fill them today because I have a lot of patients so you will have to come back another time." Seriously? He did apologize after about 10 minutes and said that I could get them filled that day, but I'd have to wait until another patient or two was done first. Really?
I felt like I was being rushed, and left the office very stressed. Needless to say, I'm getting another dentist. There are at least 5 other dentists in town, so I think I have my pick. read more
