After leaving our boat untouched for six months, I ran into battery issues the day we needed it for a gathering with friends. I hit a wall troubleshooting online and took a chance calling Michael on a Sunday. Not only did he invite me to come by, but he already had the cables I needed waiting when I arrived. Rather than simply ringing up the sale, he walked me through the fix, explained the risks, and made sure I knew what to watch out for. When I discovered the damage was worse than expected -- acid corrosion on additional cables -- Michael had already left for the day, but still called into the shop so his colleagues could get me what I needed. He also answered my text messages asking him more questions. Thanks to him, we had a wonderful cruise with our friends that afternoon. So i paid my deposit and stared waiting. After a month and a few days after the date i was told it would be ready i called and was told it was told then that it wasn't ready yet and it was going to be another month. I reluctantly kept my order because i didnt want to start this whole process with someone else at this point (even though kokopelie said they would have a trailer ready and delivered to my house in 4 weeks). After the next month passed called and they said it was going to be 2 more weeks. Disappointed again i kept waiting. After about 10 days they called and said its here. So the next day i drove from davis to richmond (3 hours) only to be show a trailer with only 1 axel. Idk how someone else didnt notice this before me but i cost me a tank of gas and 6 hours of driving. Then after another week of not having any idea whats going on they finally tell me that there is a trailer in Washington and that there is a truck going up there as we speak to pick it up and that it will be here next monday and i can pick it up tuesday. Im writing this on that tuesday right now. I just talked to them and they are now telling me that the manufacturer is making it right now and it will be here early next week. Idk if i even believe it. Ive missed 3 months of this el niño fishing so far waiting for this.

No updates, nothing. We got a price of $980 and even signed the form when we dropped off the boat. then after several calls. we finally get in and boat country turns around and says "$1150 or I take off the parts!" . Yes, the service manager said that. This service manager made a mistake and instead of owning up and fixing the issue, he threaten to take off all the parts. We are never coming here again. Service Manager Marcel gives crap service!! Rudest manager I have ever come across in my life. You make a mistake, own up to it like a man!! Not a wuss who makes threats to remove parts.

They represented both buyer and seller in my transaction and I felt they strongly favored the buyer. As a seller you are in a weak bargaining position because of the monthly berthing fee. I had to pay for equipment that was not included in the original offer to sell, and I was told that I should "negotiate" the county taxes coming due directly with the buyer, as they did not address that in the contract. A more honest answer would have been to tell me that I'm on the hook for more than a year of the buyer's tax liability according to state law. I would not sell a boat through Farallone Yacht Sales again.
