Doctor Quintana is amazing..plus the staff is unbelievable friendly..their the best. Number 1 doctor read more

Dr. Quintana is wonderful and I'm not sure you could find a better internist. We actually tried a few other internists when our insurance changed but both my husband and I returned to Dr. Quintana. He is whip smart, very up on current research, is happy to entertain your questions, practices old-fashioned medicine where your story is important, and cares a great deal that you lead a happy, healthy, and long life. When he wants me to do some sort of medical test or take a new prescription he says, "You'll thank me when you're 90 and still healthy!" He is honest, forthright, and kind. He gives excellent referrals when you need a specialist. Dr. Quintana has a computer app that he uses and it is easy and saves a lot of time. I can get any test results at the same time that he does. Unless he has emergencies, he answers any questions I put in the app by the end of the day and I get an email letting me know to look for his answer. We are both on Medicare, which doesn't reimburse very well for visits to internists, so we do have a yearly fee that we need to pay to make up for that. At first I was upset by this, but it has become very normal now for internists to have this fee in order to supplement Medicare. James at the front desk is always cheerful and ready to help. read more

I have seen Dr. Quintana for about ten years. He is extremely thorough and spends a lot of time with you. He also explains everything and makes you feel at ease. The office experience is excellent. James gets me in as soon as possible and is great at follow-up. There is no better doctor that I have ever met except my pediatrician in Philadelphia 50 years ago! read more

Initially an outstanding GP who was extremely diligent and thorough, responded rapidly to emails and always seemed on top of my situation. Unfortunately, he's changed during the past 6 years. I recently had a severe medical situation where I was hospitalized for the loss of most of my blood, requiring emergency surgery. Accompanying this was a an incredibly frightening syndrome where I couldn't catch my breath for minutes on end. I tried to depend on Quintana to help me when I got home. He failed completely as to competence, caring and compassion. Since I can essentially never get through to his office by phone, I texted him using the app he furnishes after paying a $500 annual "concierge" fee. His response? That I was bothering him. If you want a doctor who smiles and does the superficial things adequately but completely fails you when you're in trouble, Dr. Quintana is your man. read more

I have went with Dr Ruben Quintana and something told me he wasn't the Dr for me and since he was referred I had given him the benefit of doubt but something was off with him. I never felt comfortable with him but I stuck it out he was not professional with how a dr would handle a patent. I had always felt weird seeing him. I even stopped going to him for awhile. Then I decided i'd get some blood work done so I scheduled another appt after 2 years with him paid the 500 fee he charges every year and he told me he would not do any blood work unless I gave him a reason to give. I said I haven't had my test done. Before I even saw him I asked the aide if I could get a hormone test here and she said yea. So it threw me off that he refused to give me one. He actual told me to go to another dr to get it done if I wanted it done. Then I asked him to give me a iron test and he said no i'm not giving you any test that u think you may need. I will tell you what test i'm going to give you. I said I haven't had an iron test in years i'd like to know where my iron is. He said i'm not going to give u a test because you think you need i thought that is why you have a dr and you pay 500 so he can help you with all your concerns. I said I do not think your the right dr for me then. I do not recommend him to anyone, he isn't truly for the patient and the needs of the patient and I had always got a strange feeling with him that was not how you are suppose to feel with your dr. But I thought maybe it was his personality and I gave him the benefit of doubt. Please if you care about your own health and are an advocate of yourself he is not the Dr for you. I was shocked by the treatment and his staff were very confused by his actions as well. He is one of the drs that thinks he knows best and has the answers. I told him my symptoms and he googled it and said it's this and I said no that's not it. Who uses google to diagnose someone and i've seen him do it the last few times i've seen him. He literally sits there and google's your symptoms. I would think twice before going into his office and meeting him. We need to be our own health advocate because if we are not we will never know. Dr Rubencio just does not care about his patients. read more

Still the BEST internal medicine doctor in LA area or Beverly Hills area!!! I'd follow him anywhere. In fact, I have! I have changed insurance 4 times since finding him when I was a UCLA student just to keep in his practice. And I'd pay out of pocket if I had to in order to stay with him. Rare is it to find a doc who takes time with his patients and gives them education and choices about their own health care. I love Dr. Q!!!! read more

Rubencio Quintana, MD - Internal Medicine Near Me - Beverly Hills, California

Simply outrageous! I tried to make an appointment with this doctor and I was told, that even though I have the best PPO insurance, he charges an "annual fee" of $500! What?? So, I have to pay a "membership" to get healthcare? Since when doctors forgot their mission to heal others and started seeing us patients as cash providers? Shame! read more

As an update: all these years later, I still would not make any serious medical move without consulting with Dr. Quintana either by phone, telemed or in person if I am in the L.A. area. Even though I am now out of state, I see him in person in L.A. for an updated physical when possible, and if not like as now in covid time, I consult with him by phone, email, etc. I still have never met a doctor or person like him. He is kind, very smart, professional, patient and caring. If my insurance doesn't cover the cost, I pay directly and am happy to do so. Jaymes in the front office will make sure we get to see or talk to doctor and is just great with the patients. It's a win-win! read more

I was referred to Dr Quintana by a Dr. Davidson. He is extremely intelligent and able to make a precise diagnosis. I am very happy to have met a doctor who communicates with his patients. read more

Dr. Quintana is a superior physician. He is what is known as a doctors doctor. He teaches at UCLA. He is kind, caring and works hard to uncover your medical problem. He teaches you regarding your problem, so that you understand what is going on and can cooperate in the treatment. He is warm, funny and a straight shooter. As an RN, I highly recommend Dr. Quintana. read more

Dr. Q, Is a very bright dude! But he is also one of the rare intelligent M.D.s who knows how to communicate with his patients. He has excellent bed-side manners, and can diagnose like no one's business! read more

I am really afraid of doctors. I am afraid of shots, of pain, of being told something is wrong, etc. Etc. I am also a horrendous patient, and I am terrible at follow through; if you ask me to come back in a week, I will see you next summer. Dr. Quintana is by far the best doctor I have ever had. He is experienced and knowledgeable but also incredibly kind, funny, and warm. He instinctively has known that I need my fiancé in the room sometimes and unlike other doctors, understands and appreciates that relationship. Dr. Quintana cares about the whole person--not just my body, but my mind. His recommendations have helped my anxiety significantly and he never made me feel bad when it took me three months to schedule a follow up, took awhile to actually go to an acupuncturist, etc. He worked with me for what I was able to do at that moment, which was so helpful to me. I happen to adore James. He always calls back quickly, and he is funny and kind. When I went to the office on crutches with a torn meniscus, I am not sure who was more excited when I was able to walk out after a cortisone shot - me or him! read more

I love Dr. Quintana. He always eases my mind when I come in for any situation or ailment. He takes the time to explain everything so you feel like you fully understand what is going on. The support staff is wonderful as well, especially James up front, and I believe Nancy is one of the Nurses. Sadly, my insurance changed and Dr. doesn't accept Anthem Blue Cross so I have to find another doctor. *PLEASE ADD ANTHEM BLUE CROSS TO YOUR ACCEPTED INSURANCE LIST* Sadness. read more

I have been a patient of Dr Q for ~27 years. There is no other internal med Doc like Dr Q. I travel over 60 miles just to see him. He has seen me through a bad spider bite from Perth Australia to the annual flu. Dr Q is Top notch, caring, smart and very genuine. The best of any Doc hands down! read more

Reached out to schedule an appointment as a new patient with my accepted insurance (it is). I was informed that there is a $500 annual fee to be a patient of the Doctor payable upon first visit. I have not ever heard of an annual fee charged like this before. I declined to be a new patient. read more

Dr. Quintana is great! Very knowledgeable and comforting. He gives you plenty of time in the exam room and his office to discuss treatments... he never tries to rush you to get to the next patient and doesn't keep you sitting in the waiting room forever. We're able to book appt's for the next day, if needed. Overall a great family doctor! I even got my husband to go in to see him twice. Thank you doctor! read more

Dr Q is great on many levels. He's excellent at listening and discussing one's health and possible issues. He seems be always reading up and learning about the latest medical research. I was referred to Dr. Quintana several years ago and could not be happier with his treatment and care. He is extremely knowledgeable and has a beyond terrific bedside manner. He has taken exceptional care of me on numerous occasions, including when I was hospitalized with a severe allergic reaction and extremely high fever. The only downside to Dr. Quintana, is his receptionist/office worker, James, who is your first point of contact. I am not sure as to when he came on board to work at this office, but he leaves much to be desired and can be down right rude. read more

Dr Quintana has been my husband Gino's medical Dr for many many years. I happen to have a Ph.D. in homeopathy and a post graduate in clinical nutrition so I usually keep my husband in great shape. However when needed Dr Q is available and excellent to help diagnosis any problems. I have sent my own clients to him and all of them have been happy. You can not go wrong. Experienced, well educated, good communication skills and kind. His understanding of complimentary and functional medicine is growing. read more

Really wonderful doctor. He is clear and concise, thoughtful and prompt. He puts everything into his computer so you don't have to repeat information from past visits when you come in. He's a genuinely good guy that loves to help people and is good at it. Making appointments is also easy and his front desk boss James is always cheery and on the ball. read more

smug self absorbed doctor who doesnt listen to what his patients have to say, ignores years of medical history, in order to do whatever he thinks is correct even if it is 100% contrary to what medical history dictates. dangerous, im amazed he still has a license. read more

Dr. Quintana is an excellent physician. Unlike most doctors, when a patient has questions by phone, he actually contacts his patients directly; rather than having one of the office workers contact you. He is very knowledgeable and is concerned with his patient's health. read more

When I went to Dr Quintana's office, James at the receptionist desk greeted us, was polite and courteous to anyone who walked through the door .. Dr Quintana has a positive energy about him, he was polite, great bedside manners, with a sense of humor, but when it came to the exam room, Dr Quintana knew his stuff!!..He doesn't beat around the bush, straight forward and to the point.. To me, he seems 'Old School' kind of doctor, but that's a good thing! ..we will definitely keep him as our physician, unless insurance changes :) read more

Honestly, hands down "thee" best doctor! He takes his time, asks a million questions, always shows concern and above all that he is a great therapist as well! Dr. Quintana is so easy to talk to and always gives you the good, the bad and the ugly. He also has no tolerance for whiners not willing to follow through with treatment. What more can I say he is a genius and always follows through. If you need a specialist he never fails to send you to the best because he is always in the "know" with doctors as dedicated in their profession as he is. My entire family now goes to him. My dad was his first patient after being diagnosed with congestive heart failure 15 years ago. Dr. Q whipped him right into shape and gave me and my siblings a strong, healthy dad again after years of ongoing treatment, nutrition and exercise. So if you are looking for a wonderful doctor I guarantee you will not be disappointed! read more
