I came to see Dr. Klien at the urging of my wife because our doctor in the medical group had to retire and we needed to find a new primary care physician. I will first say coming into his office the first thing I noticed is the rudeness of his staff. They really act as if they really don't care about you, and I considered there treatment as a new patient to be borderline rude. As I was examined Dr. Klien kept trying to push Bariatric surgery. What he did not know is I have done research and taken classes on doing all forms of the surgery and decided against it. Even when I explained what the experience one of my family members had with the surgery and i told him it did not give the desired result she was looking for, he laughed and said at least she lost something. But besides that, I also had a prescription that i needed to have refilled, weekly for a hernia, that every time the pharmacy would call to refill they would reject the refill. They would also make me jump through hoops to get a pain prescription, that even cvs was getting tired of dealing with them. My overall review is Dr Klien is an ok doctor.... BUT HIS STAFF SUCKS!!! THE SERVICE YOU RECEIVE SUCKS!!! IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE A HUMAN BEING, CHOOSE ANOTHER DOCTOR. read more

Dr. Klein has been my primary care physician since 1982. Despite my moving away from LA and moving back a couple of times, he continued to follow my health care. I love Dr. Klein and have recommended him to well over 25 people in all these years and they are still with him and very happy with him. Because of the type of medicine he practices, yes, he can sometimes be late for general office appointments. So, my advice to someone who complains about this, be friendly and let his office staff know and they will do their best to remedy the problem. His office manager CeCe is terrific and she has been with him for at least 20 years. You can always talk to her privately about any problems you are having and she can help! read more

Avoid if you appreciate your health. You're looking at an hour long wait to be seen, after having an appointment in place. The doctor could not care less about your needs if you paid him and every time I see him he says "I want to get out of here and get home too" How comforting is that? The worst part about this place is the front desk. They mock the patients, they gossip out loud, they eat really loud and frankly, they smell. Like a terrible case of body odor. This place is a mess. I'm shocked with it being in the heart of L.A, some reality tv producer didn't peg this place for a great show considering all the very sketchy characters who work at this doctor's office. They made my wife and myself feel like longtime patients when we checked in and the doctor is very knowledgeable and very fun to interact with all while speaking about serious health issues that all of us need addressed. Dr. Klein is one of the most attentive internal medicine doctors i have had the privilege of knowing. He came highly recommended and in turn I have recommended him to my friends who all are very pleased. Awful service. I went in to see him in March and called his office 6 times to get the results of my test. He never called me back. I eventually emailed him and then he started hating on me via email, but still never called to give me my diagnosis. My experience with Dr. Klein's office was a nightmare. His incompetent receptionist rescheduled me multiple times for internal reasons. During my visit, I got the distinct impression that nobody gave a damn about me. Dr. Klein was colder than concrete, failing to make eye contact or introduce himself. His staff provided minimal direction and looked miserable. I received complete blood work, but to my utter disbelief it took 3 MONTHS before I got my results. I called repeatedly to obtain the lab work, only to hear "we'll call you back" which never happened. After threatening to contact management, Dr. Klein himself calls me - only to explain that they have NO RECORD of me. I don't exist. He says there's no evidence of my appointment, my registration, nothing. Oddly enough, he does have my blood work. Genius, doc. Dr. Klein's office is fundamentally unprofessional, incompetent and unfriendly. My pets receive astoundingly better care at the vet. Avoid this man and his staff at all costs. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Klein for at least 30 years. I know when I make an appointment I might have to wait an hour or rarely even longer. That is because he never rushes you to get to his next appointment. He spends as much time as you require and so sometimes he gets backed up. Knowing this, patients who demand a doctor to stick to exact reservation time like in a restaurant with multiple tables, should book first time in the morning or after lunch. These are more likely to be on-time. Dr. Klein also visits his patients in the hospital and sometimes emergencies with these patients make him late for appointments. All this by way of saying he is the most dedicated, caring doctor I know of. As for his office staff, they are the sweetest most caring people. Ceci is totally awesome and fabulous at solving problems with pharmacies, labs, and insurance companies as well as handling appointments, refills, etc. The assistants are professional and thoughtful. They always inquire about your health and do a good job of getting basic info. for Dr. Klein. My greatest fear is Dr. Klein will decide to retire, as I don't imagine it will be easy to find anyone nearly as thoughtful and caring as he is! read more

Keith Klein's office is a disaster. The receptionist Ceci gossips about patients in Spanish and can be easily seen not working. No wonder you will be left on hold and have difficulty making routine or not appointments. Once taken in to the examination room, and seen by a medical professional, count on waiting multiple hours in the medical examination room. Once Dr. Klein walks in, he appears disheveled and unfocused, and habitually refer you do a specialist when he can easily prescribe something. In Addition, when going for a physical, Dr. Klein's office will require a copay for the physical, even though my insurance covers it. Being that Dr. Klein accepts various insurances, there has been multiple occasions when there is no documentation of HIS STAFF processing HIS referrals. Dr. Klien has stated that my insurance is complex and difficult to work with, yet he chose to accept it. Dr. Klien needs to wake up and smell the coffee and notice that it is his name on the board and he should start taking responsibility for his and his office staffs actions. read more

Why is finding a doctor like dating? I've seen about 5 doctors in LA, trying to find "the one." Dr. Klein is the ONE. Funny thing is, I'm not even supposed to see him, but my doctor in the office is out on leave. I went to Dr. Klein in horrible pain and he knew exactly what to do. I felt better so fast, but I also felt listened to. He writes everything down, he remembers me, and hes amazing with follow-up care!!!! He really wants to heal, you know? He is just a star. I cannot recommend him more highly. He has taken superb care of my father who has had multiple serious medical issues over the past 18 months. He is extremely responsive and even showed up at the hospital at 6:30am to see my father in the ER when he was hospitalized at 2am recently. Klein gives excellent medical care and is incredibly kind. He is one of those doctors who has the ability to make even the sickest patient feel like a well human being with a localized medical problem. Also, he is great at working collaboratively with other specialists which is really important. I have been a patient of Dr. Klein's for about one year. His staff is absolutely the worst group of people that I have ever done business with, let alone trust with my health. I've had multiple experiences of incompetent and downright rude behavior including a long delay in receiving a mammogram referral. Most recently, I left an emergency message on Dr. Klein's emergency voicemail because I was very ill and having breathing problems. The message stated that Dr. Klein would return the call within 20 minutes, he never called me back. When I emailed Dr. Klein the next day asking why he never responded, I received a series of bizarre responses including one that said I should "call during regular business hours to avoid problems." This call was placed before 5pm... I'm not sure who was responding to my email, but Dr. Klein is responsible for his staff and how they do business. I am appalled at how uncaring these "healthcare professionals" are. The bottom line is that Dr. Klein's staff is a very scary group of people to trust with your health and well-being. read more

keith is one of the most caring person I've met. I had been under his care fot he past 15 years. He is always there when you need him. He has no problem refering you to any specialitst if needed and he eliminates all the unnecessary run around the industry creates for you. IMO, his practice, to me, went downhill, so I found it necessary to fire him as my doctor. I feel like he and his office staff are not on top of their game, and too many times I was given attitude by the office staff or felt I had to chase down prescriptions. But as one door closed, I did find a great new doctor at a gay men's health clinic and they are terrific with A+++ customer support. read more

I was just recently assigned to Dr. Klein through my new insurance. I can't tell you how pleasantly surprised I was to meet this man. He is compassionate, knowledgeable, efficient, and went above and beyond to explain everything to me while I was in his office. In order to get to his office, I spent 90 minutes in traffic, nearly peed my pants by the time I finally got there, and ended up 10 minutes late having to valet my car with no cash. :| I was not happy when I arrived. By the time I left, I was elated. He is so sweet! His office staff was great! The office itself was light and bright. It was a great experience. Unfortuantely my experience with this office was horrible all of the three times I went. I had to ask repeatedly to actually see Dr. Klein on one of my visits Ihe finally emereged. He did not know anything about me. I started from the beginning explaining my medical history to him. I always saw his Nurse Practioner Mythi Nguyen. She really should have been my Doctor. For the record she was the only positive experience I had with this office. The front office needs mor customer service skills. They are not up to par on the knowledge of the Health Insurance benefits. I had to do the complete authorization process to see a specialist. I had to pick the place, verify if they took my insurance, call my Insurance company to follow up etc. etc. Bottom line I was doing there work. Also they do not have the personality to handle the front office. I always felt intimidated by them. When you are coming to a Doctor's office it is always some kind of stress factor so you would think to be kind and helpful is expected. I had a totally opposite reaction. I came from Cedars Sinai Medical Group due to New Health Insurance changes and they all were the best in all aspects of dealing with the patients. So I was already expecting the very same treatment from this office. It wasn't even close. They were rude. This is the reason why I changed my primary Doctor's office from them. I hope the office employees read this review and take heed. It looks like the majority of the reviews for Dr. Klien's Office are not favorable so again I hope they change there ways for the future new and old patients they have now. Good Luck! I have been a patient of Dr. Klein's for over 20 years and I have never had a better physician, or one more caring. My medical history has had a few serious illness' in it. With every single problem Dr. Klein was kind, caring, thorough and his clinical expertise excellent. I have found the wait time in my other medical specialist who I see has increased slightly as has Dr. Klein's, just slightly since Obama Care has been in effect. What can you do? I would wait an hour for a caring, intelligent doctor like Dr. Klein. You can find doctors with no waiting time.....but who wants to be seen by that doctor? read more
