I would not recommend this Dr. I was referred to him and went to the appt where I was given paperwork mislabeled. It had my birthday and first name with some made up last name on the forms, (in spite of the fact that I had filled out paperwork upon arrival)- to schedule a colonoscopy and I was administered a breath test and It was Mislabeled also with some made up last name and my birthday and first name! I took pictures and called the Dr in to tell him why I didn't feel confident in getting my records/ tests, etc. done correctly and would be going elsewhere - I also told him that my insurance should not be billed! I told him that as I sat waiting to speak with him again I had started reading his reviews and apparently his office's incompetence is not just a single occurrence. He was angry but this did not instill confidence. I reported this to my referring Cardiologist. read more

There are no words to describe how amazing Dr. Mark Davidson and his staff are. If I could give them 7 stars I would! I've been struggling with GI symptoms for months now and have seen 2 other GI doctors (both at UCLA) and wasn't getting any better. I constantly was misdiagnosed, rushed into prescription meds I didn't need and left feeling worst. Dr. Mark Davidson really takes the time to understand your history, ongoing symptoms and puts together a very clear plan to action to help you get better. I did so much research on my symptoms and he quickly validated all of my concerns and made it very clear why I have SIBO and what treatment plan would work best. Prior to taking any antibiotics, I tried the herbal path for a month before to to see if I could feel better without prescription drugs. It clearly wasn't enough and he explained why it's the appropriate time to switch to antibiotics. Within the first week of taking antibiotics I felt 120% better than I have in the last year! No more bloating, heart burn, fatigue, weight gain, headaches etc. I haven't felt this relieved in a year! Dr. Davidson and his staff (Julie) checked in on me weekly to see how I was progressing. After I completed the antibiotics, we reconnected to discuss next steps. He provided 3 options (2 medicinal one herbal) and let me choose based on my comfort and explained the pros and cons of each option. It's SO rare to find a doctor who is this detail oriented and wants to take the time to educate you before pushing you into a category and prescribing meds. I was referred here by my primary physician. I called to make An appointment, surprisingly they had an appointment the next day which I didn't expect. I scheduled my appointment. The day of I called just to confirm and ensure that they had received my file from my primary physician. They had not. So I called my primary to make sure they sentlong story short my doctor said he couldn't send it until next week which was fine I didn't expect such a quick turn around. I got off the phone and called doctor Davidson's office and explained to Julie what my doctor has explained, and I asked her if I should just come in next week when all my file was ready so I wouldn't waste their time or mine. She said no to come on in anyway that the doctor still wants to do a consultation anyway ( in my head I was thinking it's better to do a consultation with my file that has all my tests done.) I arrived. I get to the front everyone's so busy doing something no one really to greet and no sign in I stood at the counter for 5 loooong minutes until I was acknowledged. Finally, Julie comes over and says I called your doctor and they still have not faxed anything. I explained to her the same conversation we had over the phone... that they did not have my file on hand and she still told me to come.... there was an awkward silence. And she said I'm still on hold. I replied with" okay doe what am I doing because over the phone I told you that they didn't have my file and won't until next week and I didn't want to drive all the way down here to waste our time. " She got back on the phone and front desk from my primary told her they can send over some items but it was very minimal info. She tried to brush off and blame my primary for mistakes that were made here I have been going to my primary for years, and I have NEVER had an issue with the doctor even then the front desk admins! They all have been really helpful!!!! read more

I was happy at first until billing started cheating me, Blueshield told me that Dr. Davidson committed fraud by double, triple billing me, on a upper gi and endoscopy I had the same day. Blueshield told me "don't worry thats why we are here for for this not to happen." So instead of charging me for upper gi and endoscopy they charged me like if it happened a different day with all the charges included like anestesiogist facility surgery center to reserve for procedure etc... doubled. Originally Davidson office was shady in giving me costs before procedure, they just could not tell me how much this was going to cost which is mind blowing to me but they gave me a range ; then I started to see bills arriving like $18000 and many others even 7months after procedure I still see bills popping up from nowhere and no one has a clear explain about what this is, its not always showing in Blueshild claims which I complained about it, and everybody is confused by the mess. I feel I paid more than once for some of the stuff and you can imaging the range they quoted me was Bull@t !!! So I fired Davidson ; if I cannot trust him with bills I cannot trust him with my health for sure, god knows what else is happening. I used to come to the office and someone was always in room with Davidson some students and he never ONCE had the courtesy to ask if it was ok I take my cloths off in front of other people ; if it was ok for him to bring other people in the room with him to check me. I found it to be unprofessional offensive, despicable - Last none of the claims I see in Blueshield are showing my $35 copay that I already paid every time I come in. This doctor is so bad that he used publicly my first and last name to criticize my review which is a major fault with the board of médecine as you have to respect client privacy, I just realized about it and made Yelp remove it. Davidson is lucky I am not getting after him with a complaint to the board!!! I don't want to be that low so I'm leaving it alone. read more

IF YOU HAVE SIBO THIS IS YOUR GUY!!!!! I have suffered from this malady for 4 years until I was fortunate enough to get to see him with my new insurance. I brought him a copy of my SIBO test from my old doc and he prescirbed the medicine I had needed for years right away. I ended up getting a relapse and I was aboe to get a second round of treatment! Now I am on a preventative treatment and I have a 90% reduction in symptoms. If I stick to the diet I am sure I will be healed in about a year or so. ****A NOTE TO ALL PEOPLE CONCERNED ABOUT PAYMENTS INSURANCE AND BILLING!!!!***** I did not have any issues in this area. Dr. Davidson and his staff are consummate professionals. This is my second time seeing him for a procedure, and minus the awful devil juice for prep , his office made it a breeze. I had the first appointment of the day and I was literally in and done with a colonoscopy in 90 minutes. I encourage you to get the early appointment so you don't have to fast into the day. He's a very well regarded doctor and he actually has a sense of humor if you want to make a joke. You will get reminders for your appointment by text and email, and everything is quite organized. I've been very happy so far with my experiences with Dr. Davidson and the Beverly Hills Center for Digestive Health. I recently had a colonoscopy/endoscopy, which is not something anyone looks forward to. Why was this a positive experience? Let me break it down: 1. I informed the doctor that I am one of those people who has crippling medical anxiety, so any time I have this kind of procedure done I assume the news will be catastrophic. Dr. Davidson patiently talked me off of the ledge several times, which really helped cool down my fears. 2. The instructions I received for preparing for the procedures were thorough and easy to follow. 3. I was treated beautifully at the surgery center where I had the procedure done. No discomfort, and I felt well taken care of the entire time. 4. After the procedure, and in the follow-up visit with the doctor, he was patient and thorough in reviewing my results. 5. My quality of life was at a point where it couldn't get any worse and I was desperate to see the best person I could find to diagnose my issues. A few tests later and a positive diagnosis led to the treatment that for me was absolutely life changing. Charged $150 upon entrance in November, told I would get it right back from insurance. It's february - still fighting for it. Was put on medication that made me have suicidal and manic breakdowns. was told to take two weeks off then try again. Doctor did not believe my symptoms. I tried medicine again and the reaction was even worse. He was close and his credentials looked good. I made an appointment for the next day which was amazing. He suggested I stop taking Advil and that he do a colonoscopy which he did. But what no other doctor had discovered, he tested for and I was positive. He prescribed 3 drugs and after a week, I feel like a whole new person. I went to Dr. Davidson a few years ago for intense stomach pains. After a few visits he recommended a colonoscopy. Firstly he schedules the procedure for an out of network facility despite having my insurance information. I got that changed to a new facility once i researched. After the procedure they sent my biopsy to an out of network lab which resulted in a $5000 lab fee. Luckily my insurance worked with me and agreed to cover the cost stating it wasn't my fault the doctor chose to use an out of network labs. Then I went in for the results, for Dr. Davidson to tell me nothing was wrong and my crippling isolated stomach pain (that I experience about once a quarter) is food allergies. I have now been to a new Dr. who seems to care substantially more about finding out what is going on with my stomach. So I called Dr. Davidson's office to have my paperwork and colonoscopy info faxed to my new doctor and I was told I will be charged $25 for this. I've never had a doctor charge to simple fax/email MY info to a new doctor. Dr. Davidson is out to make a dollar and not to help his patients. read more

Dr. Davidson is a great GI doctor. Unfortunately his office has very disorganized and unethical billing practices. They try to overcharge and have no explanation for charges made. We have spent hours on the phone with several people in his office and they are rude and can provide no explanation. They just want more money without being able to explain why. His office manager, Julie, was sooooo rude and curt. She acted like we were an inconvenience to her and bothering her. She didn't want to help the patients and would answer in quick responses with a lot of sighs and rolling eyes. She was even obviously VERY rude to her other coworkers. The tension she created, with her horrible manners, made the office feel palpable with discomfort. She was so rude to one of the nurses in front of the patients! I can't understand how an amazing doctor would hire such a horrible person to manage his office..? Now I'm left with the conflicting feelings of wanting to continue seeing Dr. Davidson but wanting NOTHING to do with that witch. I saw him again for something different and even asked him about my painful finger joints, he smiled and kindly explained that he wasn't a specialist for joints, but he gave me a few tips and ideas including some natural supplements.
