I declined, the technician called his manager, and the manager instructed him not to proceed. No fees were charged. The technician apologized that this policy was not disclosed when I scheduled the appointment. This was unprofessional and felt like a bait‑and‑switch. A diagnostic visit should not turn into a hard sell on the doorstep without clear disclosure up front. I will not use Chesapeake Electric again and I would not recommend them. They were a huge waste of time.

Phew, much to my relief, Chesapeake Electric was great to work with - scheduling the job was easy, the electrician showed up on time, he was very communicative, the work performed was great and it was easy to pay. Also, the electrician did a great job cleaning up and hauling away the trash from the ceiling fan. It feels good to finally have a ceiling fan in our guest bedroom and to have a reliable electrician in our contacts.

Let me say Stephen is a master electrician. I wanted to purchase a hot tub for my backyard and he gave me some good recommendations for checking out credentials on the so- called electricians. Which some are only handymen. I saw his licensed info and knew that was where I needed to be. I contacted him and he gave me an estimate. Actually first let's go back. He had to check out what was needed in my house to prepare for his job. That visit was free. He then sent an estimate on the cost of everything. Which was very reasonable. He came and placed his electrical box out back near the hot tub. With every detail that was needed. He returned to finish the job of connecting the hottub. Every thing was great! They cleaned up behind themselves. Which is also an important part of the completion of the job. I highly recommend Fusting. Stephen arrived on time with an apprentice for 2 days of work which included installing receptacles for a car lift, garage fridge, and air compressor in addition to the EV charger and range. We have had them run a 50 amp line for an electric stove, install electrical boxes in our bedrooms for fan/lights and install the fans. Great quality work and they really leave the area clean. They even suggested a dual switch so we have a button for light and another for fan. Both buttons have a switch to control light dimming or fan speed. Gone are the days of guess which chain to pull and how many times to get the desired light and fan speed combinations. We will definitely use them for future work.
