Driving north from NJ to Raynham, MA, I had a major engine malfunction about 60 miles from my…read morehotel. I didn't know what happened, but I could tell my 6 cylinder was now running on 5 (and quite loudly). The car was still running, so I rolled the dice and kept on driving...luckily I made it to my hotel. When I told Nicole at the front desk about my car issues, she said "I would go to Big Al's in Taunton". Being a stranger in town, I opted to go with my one and only recommendation. The next day I was barely able to get my car to Big Al's. It was about 8:30 in the morning and I told them "I hope to drive home this afternoon". By noon they called with the diagnosis: a spark plug had blown out of the cylinder head, stripping the threads on the way out. I would need a helicoil repair on the head, new plug, wires, throttle body, etc. I told them "go", they were done with the work by 3:00 and I was back on the road to NJ by 4:00. Big Al's staff were fast, efficient and friendly. Thanks guys! (and thanks to Nicole at the Raynham Marriott for the recommendation)

A fast tire leak. Without an appointment they took me in right away, as it turns out I had a nail in the side wall. They took me into the shop to show me and I had no choice but to replace the tire. He told me it would be done later in the day but they called me just a couple hours later to say it was done. The car was clean and left in perfect condition. The price was on point and a great value for my money. I will no longer go anywhere else ever! No matter how far I have to drive. Price, honesty and professionalism all in one place! We brought our 2008 Enclave with 115,000 miles for an oil change and to my surprise they said everything looked good and it might need a new cabin filter soon. I was expecting a long list of "recommended" services it that wasn't the case at all. I ended up bringing my 2010 GMC Terrain for an oil change also. It requires a special type of Dexos oil which they had in stock and again ... Small markup for it by way cheaper than the dealer. When I finally went in, they said they only did the oil change and "couldn't start the car"--which is exactly why it needed a new battery. It got worse from there. I was told I'd get a call (never did), then the employee tried to prove he contacted me using the wrong customer's info--twice. Then I was shown a disconnected ground wire, even though the car was running when I dropped it off. When I asked them to simply install the new battery, I was told, "you're not a technician, I don't do what you say." Completely rude and unprofessional. I told them not to touch my car and will be going to a real mechanic. I would not trust this location with my vehicle.

While driving, I noticed that the oil warning light had notified of a "oil change needed". I contacted the renter and they asked if I could bring it to Firestone. I arrived late in evening around 3:45pm. I was prepared to sit for a long time. Johnathan and the manger greeted me, they were quick on their game. As soon as I gave them the keys, they were all over it. They got the authorization I needed, and had the car in the bay in like 5 minutes flat. I called my renter and told them these guys were on their game. If the corporate guys are reading this... these guys took customer service to a whole new level.
