Benjamin transformed my garage. I was looking for somebody to help with some demo,…read moreinsulation/drywall work, and patching/painting of my garage, plus painting some interior closets (which required removal and reinstallation of organizers). Benjamin was great to work with - communicative, prompt, polite, professional, etc. His estimate was fair, he was on time, he coordinated his work around other contractors I was working with, and he did a great job. Despite the job being a little more complex than he originally estimated, he diligently finished and honored the original price. I would absolutely recommend Benjamin and his team. Can you believe these are the same garage?

Benjamin and his team were friendly but the project did not go well. They quoted us a level 5…read morefinish and that the project would take 3 days. It ended up taking 6 days, not a big deal. The big deal is that when I inspected their work after they left saying they were done it was nowhere near acceptable, never mind level 5. Surfaces weren't sanded, there was spilled mud on the trim and splatters on walls that they didn't clean up, the edges of their work were not sanded to blend into the existing surfaces. I was willing to accept less than level 5, but I wanted the work to be at least properly sanded and blended into the existing surfaces, which was not achieved. See pictures below of a few examples of what they left us with. They said they would fix it, and then abruptly said they couldn't do it and walked away from the job leaving us hanging. The one plus is they only took 50% of the payment , but after speaking to two other drywall guys who are quoting fixing their work even that seems like too much given how much we're going to have to redo and the resulting delays to our project.

Had an incredible experience with Handy Help Services. They completely transformed our built-in…read morefrom cabinets, backsplash, paint, hardware, and the results honestly exceeded expectations. From start to finish, their professionalism stood out. Art was extremely detail-oriented, everything from the paint finish to the hardware alignment was done with precision. You can tell they really take pride in their work. They were also very respectful of our home. Kept the space clean throughout the process and left everything spotless when they finished, which is rare and hugely appreciated. On top of that, they worked quickly without cutting corners and were very accommodating to a few small requests (paint color change mid project ) we had along the way. As a bonus, they even fixed a loose door in the house that wasn't part of the original scope. Pricing felt fair for the quality of work delivered, especially given the level of craftsmanship and care. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for high-quality work done by a reliable and thoughtful team.

I believe I found my guy(s) to work around the house! We actually remodeled most of the house and…read morehad an addition a year ago. And now small/medium issues are popping up that needs professional work! Art and Nick came to fix our backsplash that just dropped from the wall. They did a fast and it seems solid as I hope I have to wait another 13 years to see if it'll fall off again. Nick came back to fix and repaint lots of little patches and the significant portion of my kid's room which was done just a year ago and made these unsightly bubbles! I saw him spending all day sanding and patching and painting with care! Still have a few more things to get done and I'm just glad I have found my guys!

Akyl, Vadim, and team did a great job for a very reasonable price. They were extremely professional…read moreand respectful of our home. Specifically... My kitchen needed to be rebuilt after some significant water damage. The water remediation company and all contractors who quoted me warned me that handling my quartz backsplash had a significant risk of breakage. Vadim and Akyl put it back in one piece (whew!). They also installed additional shelving that was not originally in the scope - super kind of them! There were a couple of areas that required floor-to-ceiling shelving installation (with lighting), drywall replacement, and some termite damage remediation. All of this work was also done with care. For the drywall - the paint texture and color beautifully match the area - I cannot tell where the repair was made. Finally, the electrician did a great job putting in an additional socket and fixing paired light switches that weren't working together properly. The whole job took a couple of weeks, and it was a pleasure to have the crew in our house. Neighborhood Construction is now my go-to general contractor and I definitely plan to hire them again for additional jobs in my home.

For context, in 13 years of owning an older home, we did our fair share of projects with various…read morecontractors. Neighborhood construction was the best experience we had in any remodel hands down. Highly recommend! They handled the whole remodel very professionally, thoroughly, and with solid communication along the way. We are in Pacifica (further from their normal area), so the first quote was via Zoom - perfect efficiency. We also scaled down from pocket door back to swing in door, and that actually *lowered* the price from their original quote. All pricing was very fair and transparent. I appreciated guidance in picking out finishing materials. Akyl drove with me to help pick out materials near our house. For initial inspection (rough plumbing and electrical), either Akyl or Vadim came out. Majority of the work was done with the technicians on the ground (Sergei and Vitaliy) - very pleasant to work with. I appreciated the daily cleanup. They also let me know steps along the way. It was not a trivial project, removing a (non-load bearing) wall, but one that contained the pipes and original shower head. Ellis, who was communicating milestones and next steps, was easy to reach (by text, phone or email). For one day, when as part of the construction we had discovered roots in our sewer line and they had to coordinate with the plumber - she promptly communicated the wait, and additional estimate. Again, doing a big project in an older house (first floor was built in the 1940s), one expects small hiccups along the way. Yet, Neighborhood Construction made the process so smooth. Communicated clearly timelines, and followed through. Any additional quotes (existing issues with our roots in sewer) were very fairly priced, additional steps communicated. It was impressive to work with such a professional team. The team also handled the permitting with the city and inspections. Would highly recommended them to anyone else tackling a larger project. I would certainly be using them again in the future.
