I need to post a negative review of RPM SERVICES that is equal to the EXTREMELY POOR experience I had on, Thursday June 16, 2016 after being a loyal customer for well-over 10 years!
* * * When a new car of mine fell out of warranty I would automatically start taking my vehicle to RPM for major repairs even though my travel time to get there was 45-60 minutes.
Throughout the years I've experienced minor bouts of rudeness/imperfect customer service from Blair the owner, and VERY RECENTLY almost called it quits with him.
BUT I try to chalk these things up to the fact that every "business owner" has bad days at work.
And I know that two of his three mechanics are very good in terms of customer service.
* But then there's this "OTHER" mechanic. Don't know his name but he is the overweight one, that in my opinion looks and sounds like bad news AND doesn't seem to have a healthy respect for Blair - his boss! * * *
So, on Thursday June 16 I come in for a THIRD TIME. For the SAME issue, that Blair somehow diagnoses over the phone this time but couldn't with the car in front of him the first two times.
Except now on this third visit I'll be getting this "OTHER" mechanic working on my car.
Well.... after driving my car into the bay, this "OTHER" mechanic gets out and yells "F'ING DISGUSTING" while seeing that I saw and heard him say this.
Shocked, I realize the insult was directed at me and my car.
(This car has just become the transport vehicle for a new dog walking business and will automatically have dog hair and the smell of pond water inside of it everyday. It can't be avoided).
I went straight into Blair's office to tell him what his mechanic said and that his behaviour was completely inappropriate!
Blair went to speak to him but upon returning says nothing to me.
I then went back to his office a few minutes later and asked if I needed to be concerned with job quality after this incident.
Blair says, "No. But there is a lot of dog hair in your car".
I said, "Its just become a dog-walking transport vehicle. AND I'm here today for a THIRD TIME for this rotor grinding issue!".
He had no reply.
(*** For the record, there was not an inordinate amount of hair in the car BUT I can concede to the pond water smell for sure).
Not once during this unfortunate episode did he apologize for his mechanics grotesque behaviour.
With most companies where customer service is paramount, an employee like this "OTHER" mechanic would be automatically fired on the spot or at the very least be seriously reprimanded. And an immediate apology issued to the customer without question. Not the case here. read more
