She's professional, gives great advice/suggestions, and is always in contact with you. Most recently I worked with Anthony and my experience was just as great. Anthony is communicative and responsive- all things that you want when you are looking to rent your apartment out! He was always there to answer questions via email and phone and gave great input/advice/suggestions when asked. Renting units can be a hassle at times, but working with Anthony and Streeterville Realty makes it as painless as possible. I can't see anyone looking to a different group to help with their real estate needs.

The gal who answered the phone was extremely rude after I told her I was already working with a buying agent. She then stopped the conversation and wouldn't let me ask any questions but just keep telling me - talking over me - that I had to have my own agent call to inquire as "they don't want to stop on toes". That makes no sense at all. She just wasn't getting my commission and so she didn't want to talk to me. Sadly, she isn't event the one losing a commission as Adam Wavrunek wrote this listing. However, I was unable to even reach him as this rude employee basically talked over me, wouldn't let me get a word in, and offered me a "have a nice day" and hung up!

I wasn't sure if I'd find anything that first day out, but wow my expectations were exceeded! I found the perfect place - a tough decision given the other contending apartments. It is exhausting reaching out to listings and not hearing back at all, or hearing back once then they fall off the face of the planet. Who the hell has time for that? He maybe took me to 7 places total and if I walked in and was like "nope" he said "no problem" and we moved on to the next! Things move like hotcakes here and of course (sods law) the place I decided on went off the market while I was filling out the app, after he put up listening to me go back and forth on silly pro's and con's the whole car ride back. Either way, not their fault, It's Chicago! Luckily because they are good at what they do, I had a backup plan. Thanks boys! When we…read morearrived, the seller's agent was already engaged with another potential buyer and did not take a moment to greet or acknowledge us. We were simply told to look around the property on our own. When the agent eventually interacted with us, he spent very little time answering questions or discussing the home. Less than 30 minutes into our showing, another buyer arrived, and we were told that our session had to end because he needed to attend to them. We felt rushed and dismissed despite having a scheduled appointment. Overall, the experience felt unprofessional and disrespectful. As prospective buyers, we expected to be treated with the same courtesy, attention, and professionalism afforded to other clients. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. The experience made us feel unwelcomed and disrespected.

Had we listened to him from the beginning we might have sold sooner. In the end we all left the closing happy. From day one, Brian made what could have been an overwhelming process feel manageable, clear, and even enjoyable. He took the time to walk me through every step, making sure I understood what to expect and felt fully prepared at each stage. No question was too small, and his guidance gave me a level of confidence I didn't think I'd have going into this. What stood out most was how much of a true advocate Brian is for his clients. He consistently had my best interests in mind, provided honest advice, and made sure I felt supported in every decision. It never felt transactional, it felt like I had someone genuinely in my corner. If you're looking for a realtor who will guide you, educate you, and advocate for you every step of the way, you're in the best hands. Five stars all the way!

Brian/Team Review To…read moreWhom it May Concern; As late-arrivals to Home Ownership, our nervousness and naivete were demonstrably abundant. We had scores of questions, many obvious or simply dumb...and plenty legit as well. We were acquiring an education on the fly. Thankfully we had as Allies, the kindest, most thoughtful, thorough, professional and forthcoming Band of Sherpas one could hope for in Brian Somera and his Fantastic Team at Coldwell-Banker. Their responsiveness was metronomically dependable. Their Service was sincere and utterly consistent (And I know something about Great Service having run Zingerman's Delicatessen for 11 years). Our path to our 'Forever Home' was circuitous. We looked at over a dozen properties. We bid on 3. Didn't get the first, backed out of the second after a scarifying Inspection, and Happily So, because the 3rd, the 'Just Right' place, checked every single box and felt like 'Home' the second we stepped in the door. Brian squired us around to all of them, gave astute advice and insight, gently nudged us towards resolution if we hadn't responded to a query or an E-sign, always with a comforting lightness and smile. We felt cared for. We confidently shared our Trust with He and his Team and could not have hoped for a better experience through this process. You couldn't wish for a better Advocate than this crew.

We had another flawless experience with Jim Flanders, this time while selling the same home he…read morehelped us buy 6 years ago. We have kept a great relationship with Jim through the years, and my husband has worked with him on buying and selling some of our investment property. So when it came time to sell our city home in Logan Square as we made the move to the suburbs, we knew Jim Flanders was the one to help us do this. We were building a new construction home in the burbs, so we had a lot of lead time in knowing that we needed to list the property. This was a tricky balance since we didn't want to list the home too quickly (and risk selling it and being homeless for many months until our new house was ready), but we didn't want to miss the peak market season during the summer months and wait until the fall or winter to list it. We also have 2 toddlers at home, so the idea of having to keep the house "showing ready" for an extended period of time was daunting. In a perfect world, we would be able to get under contract quickly with a buyer, but negotiate a later close date and get the best of both worlds. Jim helped us do a walkthrough of the house and pointed out the things he recommended we do to get the house in showing form (painting the walls, caulking some areas, clearing out toy congested areas) but only focused on what he felt would actually make a difference rather than asking us to invest a bunch of money in things that ultimately do not help sell quicker or at a higher price. Jim helped guide us in our timing, thanks to his knowledge and understanding of the market. We listed on a Wednesday in July, and decided to have an open house that very weekend. Jim came and managed the open house for us and the first couple to see the home made an offer that same day. They did not have a real estate agent, and Jim led all the conversations directly with the buyer and negotiated the terms and conditions for the contract. He was able to negotiate a 90 day closing, which gave us plenty of time to stay in our home and enjoy it before needing to vacate. The best quality about Jim Flanders is his easy going personality and honest approach. He always has your back and wants the best for you. But he is not pushy. He will not talk you into doing yourself a disservice just to get a quicker commission. He truly wants to advise you and guide you to get the best results possible and his patience is incredible. He will be there as many times as you need him for as long as you need him, to make sure everything goes smoothly. It was one thing for us to have the utmost trust in Jim, but the most impressive thing was how much the buyers also trusted Jim. They opted not to get their own real estate agent and were fine working directly through Jim (even though he was representing us, the sellers) because they also could feel that Jim had everybody's best interests at heart. This is where Jim Flanders really sets himself apart from other realtors I've worked with. He forms relationships, not just with his clients, but with the opposite clients as well. He took time to have many phone conversations with the buyers to put them at ease, talk through the inspection findings, and negotiate our terms. They trusted him so much that when it came time to close, they didn't even ask for a final walk through of the house before closing. We couldn't have asked for a smoother and less stressful process of selling our home. We got the price we wanted, the closing date we wanted, and all the negotiations and conversations were easy and friendly.

The second we get a sniff that any of our friends or people we meet are looking to buy, we instantly stop the conversation to tell them 'YOU HAVE TO WORK WITH JIM FLANDERS'. Thank you Jim.

He was incredibly responsive, always in-contact, and always found an answer for us when we reached out with questions. We never felt pressured to make a decision. Even when, earlier this year, we had an issue with our new Jefferson Park condo and needed consulting on our contract, he responded right away and went above and beyond to help us resolve it.
