I had one of their popular breakfast plates with chicken, eggs, gravy, and a biscuit, and it was excellent. The chicken was flavorful, the biscuit was on point, and the whole meal felt like true Southern comfort food. Service was fast, friendly, and welcoming. It had that genuine Southern charm you hope to find when visiting a South Georgia city. Definitely a great local stop, and we'd come back again.

This happened on July 27, 2026…read more I was visiting family and one day I ventured out on my own looking for a place to eat. I saw this restaurant and thought it was really a cute spot. I went in... I was welcomed beautifully and even chatted with the ladies about the neat Plucked Up t-shirts. I thought it was going to be a nice visit. I ordered Chicken and Grits along with a sweet tea. It looked delicious. The chicken and grits came with a wonderful country biscuit. I was shocked with the first spoonful. This was THE SALTIEST thing I have ever tasted in my life. It was as if the chef poured the ENTIRE box of Morton's Salt into my meal. When the server asked, very nonchalantly, how my meal was she was way different than when I first walked in. I VERY KINDLY let her know that everything was wonderful except for my entree. Her response was, "oh really?" She turned and walked away and that was it. The positive notes: The young man who has been doing dishes there for years is so wonderful and kind along with his easy going, very friendly and loving grandparents. The decor is ADORABLE! I won't be returning. Be careful. I should have read the reviews.

It's located near the entrance to Fort Benning, making it a convenient stop for soldiers and anyone in the area. That part of Columbus sometimes gets a bad reputation, but CC's Place is a hidden gem that's well worth the visit. The customer service is amazing, and the staff is always friendly and happy to help explain the menu. I've tried several different items, and everything I've ordered has been really good. Most meals are served in to-go containers since many customers are grabbing breakfast on the way to work, but you can also enjoy your meal there. I believe they also take call-in orders, which makes it even more convenient. Overall, CC's Place serves a fantastic hometown breakfast with great food and outstanding service. It's a great way to start your day, and I'd definitely recommend giving it a try.
