While in the kiddie pool, my daughter went into the deep end and she walked out too far and could not reach the bottom. She went under for a few seconds while I watched from afar. This all happened while a lifeguard was standing by and her 2 instructors were in the water next to her talking to each other. I had to yell at them to get their attention and then they slowly came over like it wasn't a big deal. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Totally unacceptable! Do your job!

They have great programs specifically designed for each age and skill group and make it fun. I wish they had more times available for classes, they are closed Friday & Sunday and during the day just have one class at a time going. Stephanie who is the GM is the heart of this place and I've seen her on multiple occasions bring comfort to worried kids, she is so patient and seems to genuinely adore all of the kids. We see coach Naya for both of our kids abs we really like her, she is excellent at helping shape skill in young swimmers!

But when the receptionist pressed for a reason, I calmly explained that it simply wasn't a good fit for my family. Her response? She told me my 3-year-old daughter was "too sensitive." That was not only completely unprofessional, but also incredibly inappropriate. I wasn't asking for feedback. I was trying to protect my child from an environment where the teacher was far too serious for a toddler and clearly not the right match. Swimming should be fun, especially at this age. Period. This place missed the mark, and then doubled down on the failure by dismissing a parent's concern. We won't be back.

With 18 indoor courts, a retail shop, a kitchen / cafe with seating, clean restrooms, convenient parking, seats and counters for viewing, and more, this place has it all. I love the logo and the decor as well. Oh... and the wifi works great too. What's not to love about this place? Excited to be here for the National Junior Pickleball tournament and to play a bit myself as well. If you play pickleball and find yourself in the area, make sure to check this place out!

There was a couple weird/creepy looking old men in small swimsuits that were using some of the lanes in the biggest pool, that didn't make me feel comfortable as a mom. *there was a man who was either an owner or manager, he had long hair and he looked like a creepy guy as well, which sets off my mom radar (when you work around kids for a living, you should be very aware of the appearance you put off to parents), I will say he did kindly ask how our class was.. *this place is hot and humid as all heck inside where you sit to be close to your young kids, we only had a 30 minute class but it felt like forever and I was sweating everywhere but the time we left. Just not a good fit for us.

The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and patient to the students. They listen attentively and illustrate the lessons to the best extent possible to help teach the students . The facility is welcoming, clean and fun! The school is located in Crunch fitness but not operated or owned by them. The locker/showers are not part of the swim school. The swim school has its own office which has changing rooms/ bathrooms and a shower area which is kept clean and separate. I love that this location in Eagle has a splash pad for the kids to play before and after! I highly recommend this swim school over any swim school in the area!

Oh man, oh man, oh man--all of the heart eyes! (Not the easiest thing in the world to get to, but…read morelike a hidden treasure, once you find it, the hunt is so worth it!) How to get there(ish): 1. Head up ID 55 like you're going towards McCall 2. Hang a right on Banks Lowman Highway 3. Drive for 28 miles and then you'll see Pine Flats Campground on the right 4. (Now getting to the hot springs is a bit tricky. Side note: I definitely would NOT recommend attempting this in snowy weather, that just would not be smart or safe.) Anyways, you're going to take a trail that runs sort of by the river and is towards the rightmost part of the campground. You'll walk for what I assume to be a quarter mile, and then voila! You'll arrive at a beach along the river with massive boulders and pools stacked against the hillside (this is all natural by the way)! The Campground: Parking is $5/day, and I am not sure about the cost of overnight camping as we only made a day trip here. They have one bathroom here, and, well, it's totally a public park bathroom. The Views: We went on an October weekend, so we had a view that combined all things beautiful that Idaho has to offer in one--snow on mountains in the distance, lush green hills, stunning fall foliage, a rushing river running along the hot springs, and clean mountain air. The Hot Springs: A good amount of the pools of water were warm and I would only recommend sitting in them if the weather is above 80 degrees, or else you'll get chilly real quick. But for the most part, they were toasty, especially if you sat underneath the ones with waterfalls--those will heat you right up! Pro Tip(s): 1. Make sure you have more than enough gas in your car--you're out of service up here and out of luck if you run out of gas. 2. Bring a big water bottle! Sitting in hot water will dehydrate ya real quick.

The slide isn't always staffed, but when it is, it's super fun... even as a grown up :-) They have a rock wall, track for walking/running, and offer fitness classes. My mom likes doing the circuit of machines up in the weight lifting area. There's lots of cardio equipment. I usually prefer the free weights and non-circuit resistance machines for my workouts, and I've found everything I needed at this YMCA. Staff and members are all friendly, and I've never felt uncomfortable working out here. Sometimes you end up weighting for weights or machines, especially during peak times, but that's pretty much how it goes at any gym. Membership is $50/month for one person, or I believe $80/month for two, so a bit of savings. Considering everything you have access to with a membership, it's honestly not a bad deal. I have paid as much or more for gyms with way fewer amenities, let alone for a yoga or pilates studio. Definitely a good option.

We went on a Saturday and the big pool had a swim meet so it was closed which was fine, but it wasn't posted anywhere. So we went in the other two pools. The problem is, we called ahead to get information since we'd never been before & at the front desk reiterated we had never been so wanted to make sure we were good to go info. However, the staff at the front desk was unpleasant and offered almost no information. You must have your ID with you which we had to go 20 minutes back for and was not told that on the phone. We brought 4 kids, two that can swim and two that can't yet so we borrowed life jackets and they swam for almost an hour in the non kiddie pool only to be told you can't be in here even with a life jacket so they kicked them out into the kiddie pool. Then they kept asking for necklaces which we didn't know what that meant and finally a lifeguard said they tell us if they can swim or not. This was an hour in style that point and they'd been swimming without them. The signage to the pools is atrocious and unclear. The bathrooms were dirty as were multiple spots in the pool. I even asked about memberships for the future, & the front desk person said "oh idk you'll need to call the manager" and walked away. I'm glad it was only $4 because it was a very stressful experience and next time we want to take the kids swimming, I think we will find somewhere else.

So here's my review- Someone might ask, "Hailei, you don't even have a dog, why do you go to IPA?" Valid question! I mean, I got my dog fix without having to own a dog. And in today's instance, I reminded myself why I don't own a dog. One of the main reasons I do like going here is I'm a big fan of Hard Kombucha, and they're one of a few select places that serves Boise Booch! This time they had spiced apple on tap which I wrote in my review of Booch that it's one of my faves. The 2 times I had been here before, it was 100% a 5 star experience. This time dogs were just a little too rambunctious for me. People might say that's dumb for me to even make a remark, I mean I'm literally at a dog park. But I think regardless of the situation (I mean let's say I was at Payette) if I'm sitting down keeping to myself, I would prefer my drink to not be knocked over into my lap.
