This all happened while a lifeguard was standing by and her 2 instructors were in the water next to her talking to each other. I had to yell at them to get their attention and then they slowly came over like it wasn't a big deal. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Totally unacceptable! Do your job!

The baby pool (generally for ages 5 and under) is warm and shallow; but the really thoughtful feature is the large umbrellas shading the baby pool. Many babies skin just don't tolerate sunscreen; and these guys get that! They rent out noodle floats for .50 cents because other than wearable floats, floatation toys are not allowed, although you can bring your own water noodle. They also sell candy and quick energy snacks. There is an ice cream shack just outside of the entrance, but you must consume it outside of the pool premises. There is no food (other than the little candy they sell) allowed inside the pool area. I wish they would enforce this a bit more strictly. There are too many times I've stepped on chips, or sandwich crusts from ghetto slobs and their children who can't seem to go a couple hours without food. My real reason for the missing star is they are only open a couple hours at a time. Yes, the admission is very affordable, but the late afternoon hours make it difficult for those of us who like to swim early on the day or make a day thing of lounging by the pool.

I paid $9 for all three of us- that's half the price for one ticket for our neighborhood pool in Seattle! The kids loved the different pool areas. My daughter can't swim yet, so she went back and forth between the kiddie pool and the shallow end of the larger pool. My nephew loved the drop slide! The pool and surrounding area was very clean and the lifeguards helped my nephew find his watch when it fell off. We'll return when we're in Boise again!

I took a 30 min cardio sculpt class and a 30 min band camp class in the group X room. Unfortunately I did not get the instructor's name (class schedule is updated in real time online so it's not showing) but she was very cold towards me and not personable as I was the only male in the class and my instincts told me she was not comfortable with that. They get to do different activities in 30 minute increments while they're in kids club. The women's locker room is amazing! Everything is very clean and new. I love the spa, cold plunge, sauna, and steam room in the women's locker room. The outdoor family pool is also great. They have 2 life guards on duty. My kids love playing there with other kids when we go as a family. My husband and I have also gotten a massage at the gym, both of the ladies were great! Very relaxing. They have all the gym equipment and more that you could ever want to use. Plus water massage beds and cryo-beds that are both very relaxing to use before leaving the gym. The pickleball and tennis courts are also an amazing addition. They have a nice work space area with guest WiFi, just bring your laptop and headphones. April/May they have classes for everyone but there is a wait?!? Sucked, but had to adapt. June/July after you get use to a schedule which takes 3-4 weeks because you must sign up a week in advance or you are put on a waitlist. By the time you figure out which class to try and what instructor works best for you (ie are they too easy or too hard) they cancel the class!! Like SERIOUSLY?? Can I get 2 classes in before you tell us not enough people are attending? How about we dont add 10 classes at time then get mad when it takes a minute for everyone to adjust their schedules. I understand this is a new gym but the fundamentals of schedules and how to draw in a crowd do not change. You dont put competing (stronger) instructors against each other. As of August we now have to pick between taking a Sculpting Class or Barre because they only offer those at the same time or FLOW vs Barre. They seem to lack appreciation that people dont just want the name of the class they want the consistency of the instructor teaching that class. For those of us paying to use the gym for classes more than free weights its making the experience not worth the price.

There was a couple weird/creepy looking old men in small swimsuits that were using some of the lanes in the biggest pool, that didn't make me feel comfortable as a mom. *there was a man who was either an owner or manager, he had long hair and he looked like a creepy guy as well, which sets off my mom radar (when you work around kids for a living, you should be very aware of the appearance you put off to parents), I will say he did kindly ask how our class was.. *this place is hot and humid as all heck inside where you sit to be close to your young kids, we only had a 30 minute class but it felt like forever and I was sweating everywhere but the time we left. Just not a good fit for us.

The facility is welcoming, clean and fun! The school is located in Crunch fitness but not operated or owned by them. The locker/showers are not part of the swim school. The swim school has its own office which has changing rooms/ bathrooms and a shower area which is kept clean and separate. I love that this location in Eagle has a splash pad for the kids to play before and after! I highly recommend this swim school over any swim school in the area!

We went on a Saturday and the big pool had a swim meet so it was closed which was fine, but it wasn't posted anywhere. So we went in the other two pools. The problem is, we called ahead to get information since we'd never been before & at the front desk reiterated we had never been so wanted to make sure we were good to go info. However, the staff at the front desk was unpleasant and offered almost no information. You must have your ID with you which we had to go 20 minutes back for and was not told that on the phone. We brought 4 kids, two that can swim and two that can't yet so we borrowed life jackets and they swam for almost an hour in the non kiddie pool only to be told you can't be in here even with a life jacket so they kicked them out into the kiddie pool. Then they kept asking for necklaces which we didn't know what that meant and finally a lifeguard said they tell us if they can swim or not. This was an hour in style that point and they'd been swimming without them. The signage to the pools is atrocious and unclear. The bathrooms were dirty as were multiple spots in the pool. I even asked about memberships for the future, & the front desk person said "oh idk you'll need to call the manager" and walked away. I'm glad it was only $4 because it was a very stressful experience and next time we want to take the kids swimming, I think we will find somewhere else.

The slide isn't always staffed, but when it is, it's super fun... even as a grown up :-) They have a rock wall, track for walking/running, and offer fitness classes. My mom likes doing the circuit of machines up in the weight lifting area. There's lots of cardio equipment. I usually prefer the free weights and non-circuit resistance machines for my workouts, and I've found everything I needed at this YMCA. Staff and members are all friendly, and I've never felt uncomfortable working out here. Sometimes you end up weighting for weights or machines, especially during peak times, but that's pretty much how it goes at any gym. Membership is $50/month for one person, or I believe $80/month for two, so a bit of savings. Considering everything you have access to with a membership, it's honestly not a bad deal. I have paid as much or more for gyms with way fewer amenities, let alone for a yoga or pilates studio. Definitely a good option.
