ATTIC DOOR: Jacop politely texted to let us know he'd gotten delayed on another job. His…read morecourteousness was much appreciated. When he showed for the job, he was professional and fixed the attic door. It had a bent arm, and we were losing heat because the door didn't fully close. He spent time adjusting the springs and replaced (both) side arms to keep the weight and tension evenly distributed. He got it done and we were pleased with the end result. DRIED PAINT ON CARPET: The 2nd task was to remove spilled, dried in paint on carpet. We tried everything ourselves to clean up the stain, and even rented, "Rug Doctor". We thought our only hope was to remove the carpet and tile that floor to match our other floors. Jacop said that he thought he could remove the stains, and to our amazement, he got it done with a wire brush and the appropriate stain removal for dried in paint. Jacop saved us a lot of money, and thanks to his honesty and problem solving, we didn't have to tile that room after all. It looks like there was never any stains on that carpet. We are incredibly happy with the end result and the money he saved us on not having to tile that room! Jacop is not only efficient, but also honest. Thank goodness that he came up with a solution, rather than hitting us with an expensive tile job. We appreciated his honesty, which is rare these days! He's a very nice person and we would use his services again.

I hired Gary for some crown moulding work in 3 bedrooms in my home. It was relatively painless to…read moreget the whole job setup and completed. What I liked about him: 1. When he came over for a consultation, he took copious documentation on what we wanted, including photos, measurements, notes on our discussion, etc. 2. His wife followed up with us via email on the quotes and contract. 3. Pricing is not too bad, not the cheapest we came across, but definitely not the most expensive. 4. He brought 1 worker with him, and came on time and on the right day as agreed, with all of the materials prepped in advance. 5. They finished up the 3 rooms in 1 day. 6. They brought and wore their own disposable booties to keep our floors clean. 7. They cleaned all of the mess before they left. 8. I was sent an email copy of the receipt following the engagement. All in all, a no hassle deal. Some of the things that could have been better: 1. The worker Gary brought with him left dirt stains on the newly painted wall which we had to clean. I'm sure if I mentioned it he would have made sure it was cleaned up, but I didn't notice until they were already gone for the day. 2. The finishing work (i.e. nail hole patching, caulking, painting) wasn't as clean as we would have liked, but I guess that's what happens in a one day job. That was passable. In general I would hire GJ again for handiwork in my home. Gary and his wife are very professional and friendly.

He was very friendly and respectful to her and my Dad. He always came on the day he scheduled with her and did his work fast. I would recommend GJ Construction for small home jobs. Gary is very friendly and professional.

We chose Nash remodeling after extensive research and a long interviewing process. Based on the experience I had, I can say that they are one of the best remodeling companies in Houston. Outstanding Handyman - Highly Recommended!…read more I live in Crosby, Texas, and had a tough time finding a reasonably priced handyman. After doing some searching, Danny was one of the first to call me back. His rates were fair, and I decided to go with him to install a ceiling fan, mount a TV, and install a bathroom cabinet. I'm so glad I trusted my instincts--Danny did an outstanding job. I actually received another quote that was about $20 cheaper, but I've learned the hard way that sometimes trying to save a buck ends up costing more in the long run. That definitely wasn't the case with Danny. His work was thorough, neat, and professional. He even stayed longer than he originally estimated to make sure everything was done right. I voluntarily gave him a little extra because he truly earned it--and honestly, I wish I could've given him more. He was worth every penny. I didn't have the lightbulbs needed for the ceiling fan installation, and without hesitation, Danny offered to come back on Sunday after church to finish the job. Thankfully, my daughter was able to run to Walmart and grab what we needed while he completed the other tasks. It just goes to show how committed he is to his work and making sure his customers are satisfied. Danny is a rare find these days--reliable, honest, skilled, and courteous. He'll definitely be my go-to handyman from now on. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for quality work at a fair price.
