Finally, on a hunt for houseplants and in the general area I popped in, and plan to never just drive by again. The outside carries the best variety of concrete statuary and garden art I've seen in Lancaster. All styles, sizes, and for budgets big and small. Inside, their greenhouse and retail space was on the small size and no frills but their plants all appeared healthy and were very reasonably priced. They also carried a variety of indoor and outdoor pots, liners, accessories, gardening supplies, and the like. All of this in addition to their floral delivery service and cash and carry bouquets. There was one lone employee there who was friendly and did her best to be helpful. However she was under educated and basically knew nothing about any of the houseplants I was purchasing as far as shade or full sun, etc. Most of their plants are not labeled with even the basic name so I was making my purchase based on leaf design. She did her best to look up the varieties in her plant book but of the 6 plants I purchased only was able to find two, which provided me minimum information. There were also houseplant containers and baskets already made, and quite lovely, however when another customer wanted to purchase them was told she couldn't because she didn't know how to price. 4 stars because they definitely need to label and provide some information on their plants, educate their employees, and not to put items on the sales floor that isn't for sale.

I am the most non green thumb person ever, so I took an invitation so I could try to explain what I was looking for. Every employee I encountered was wonderful to deal with! Roxanne herself helped me come up with a plan, but I left it mostly in her hands. When I picked up the arrangements a few days later, I was simply blown away by what was created. It was exactly what I was looking for without even knowing exactly what I was looking for! So many compliments were given over the arrangement. Roxanne's will be getting my floral business from here on out.

I order online from Pittsburgh. Online ordering is simple & fast. You can include a personalized note. Each arrangement has been fresh & lasted over a week or more. Delivery fee is $15. If you live locally, obviously you can pick up at the store. I add a small tip for the flower arranger too. Total was about $70 with tax & tip. I have preferred this company as opposed to larger floral shops or national companies, whose flowers did not last as long and we're not as fresh and sometimes even cost more. I live in Florida and had a horrible experience with another florist last year so I tried Jane's and I will be using them from now on. I requested an early delivery on Christmas Eve and they came through for me. My aunt and uncle are seniors and go to bed early and last year I reserved flowers with another shop- weeks ahead for a December 20th delivery. I requested an early in the day delivery and they delivered them at 8pm at night and they were horrible looking for more money. I also sent my aunt a custom birthday arrangement in January from Jane's and those were really beautiful as well. I requested all pastels and soft with curly willow and it was better than I expected. I worked at a local flower shop for many years in Sarasota and I am really impressed by Jane's quality of flowers and pricing. People don't realize how expensive flowers have gotten in recent years but I really think Jane's has great pricing and is worth every penny.
