Over 8 weeks he got me back into shape and was very helpful, as always, in equipping me with the knowledge to adjust how I use my shoulder so that I could be as pain free as possible and to continue my usual activities at home, the gym, and in the community. Worst Orthopedic facility ever. After 4 days of a broken hand and a Hospital referral they finally…read morewere able to see me. I went to the back to have my first check up and my hand was severely swollen and the nurse practitioner Susan put a cast on it. I ended up having to call the next morning because my hand was in severe pain and I had lost feeling to my hand causing it to tingle, the actual doctor had requested for me to come in that day immediately to get the cast off. Once the cast was off the Doctor had put me in a splint for my hand and asked for me to come back in two weeks. After paying for a cast, a splint, and three follow ups already; I had came back to the facility. Needless to say the follow ups were with the Nurse Practitioner and and the undoubtedly rude staff. They proceeded to take my splint off and for the second time she decided to put me into a cast. I paid for the second cast left, only to go home and have my hand pop as I was just letting it lay aside my body. I called immediately only for her to tell me "I think it's okay for it to be popping, I did put it pretty snug." However I could fit 4 fingers in the cast. After my hand swelling again with the second cast I called the urgency line at 11 p.m only to be on the phone with the Nurse Practitioner, again. In totally it's been 9 weeks since my injury, 3 cast, 1 splint, and 1 hand brace later I'm out of this office with a high visit cost. Worst facility, with rude HIPPA via violating staff.

I cannot remember a day without pain before surgery. Seems as though when I awoke after surgery, I was in less pain than the day of the surgery. Dr. Berchuck is the greatest. His directness is greatly appreciated; bedside manner is great; very caring surgeon. He gets my rave reviews to everyone I meet. I would certainly recommend him to anyone in back pain. I just wish I had found him sooner. My 1st appt. was in Waxahachie, surgery was at Baylor Dallas, my follow-ups are in Red Oak. His staff is perfect; nothing but kind, curteous and very caring.
