They cleaned two long black dress coats for me and the quality was excellent. I'm very particular about my clothes and they delivered. I also needed a 24-hour turnaround for a wedding and they made it happen without fuss. Now they have 10 pairs of my denim jeans to contend with and they are planning on an old fashioned heavy starch job. Also they have a drive-up for convenience that is the cherry on top. They proceeded to put a hole in the front and then go back and forth with a sewing machine to the point where they were unwearable- calling it a patch for a hole. As someone who sews I would never find this acceptable repair for the front of new pants, I went to them because it was a repair I could not do myself. When I went back they defended their work and stared me down as I asked for a refund and the cost of the pants which I had the receipt for. They tried to argue I had worn them for one year, which, again I had the receipt showing they were a month old. They made a scene in the store which was embarrassing for everyone involved. I brought in three tank bras and a brand new silk dress to have the straps shortened. She completely butchered my silk dress (which was not cheap). It's asymmetrical now, with a crooked hem, and lies funny (there's a hump on my upper back). She cut the straps (but not in a symmetrical way) and simply brought the back up higher, so the crooked hem lies awkwardly high on my neck). You can see that she sewed the hem a couple of times and had to take stitching out and redo it, so there are holes in random places in the areas she was working on. Yes, the fabric is probably really difficult to sew, but she could have told me she was not able to do it. Instead she did a botch job, and it's unwearable. As for the bras, she simply sewed a hem across and left the bulky remains, so they are unwearable. When I picked up the items, she said it was too thick to sew down. She did try to sew down the bulk on one but didn't even try for the others. All of them are unwearable, though, because the bulk should have been cut off (would have taken two minutes to do it that way). An inexperienced seamstress would have known how to solve this problem. She must get lots of complaints because she makes you pay for her services up front. I just walked out the door and didn't check her work until I got home, so I had no chance to ask her to fix it. Of course, I'm never going back. Don't bring anything here that you care about. It's not worth it, she'll only make the clothing even more unwearable. She probably expects you to complain and won't do a good job until you ask her to. Don't waste your time.
