I stumbled upon Lindsay's website when I was searching for a dressmaker for a wedding I was going…read moreto be attending. While I had something specific in mind for a design, I wasn't able to find it in any store I went to. So, I went armed with a couple of photos and ideas for this sundress that I wanted made. She was really friendly, and great at helping find something to make my dress look the most flattering. No detail was overlooked. She had it made in about 3 weeks, which was kind of rushing things, but I had to have it by a certain date! Everything looked great. The fit was perfect, very comfortable, everything I had asked for. Except, I'm not much of a dress wearer. By the time the wedding came around, I realized I just could NOT be comfortable in a dress. So the piece that she made for me, while it was absolutely perfect in design, was left hanging in the closet. When I returned from the trip, I gave her a call, and asked if she would mind making it into a skirt instead. I knew I would wear that a LOT more often. She was very accomodating, and even did it for free, knowing that I would at least get some use out of it! I would definitely go back to get something else custom made. It wasn't cheap, but how often can you find something that was made to fit you and your body alone? Love her.

I can't really express how awesome Lindsay is! I've never had a dress custom made for me, but I…read moredecided to go for it for my wedding. I was feeling a little lost and frustrated shopping for a wedding dress, so I took my ideas to Lindsay and let her work her magic. I'm so glad I did! The dress exceeded my expectations, it is elegant, and grand, but not too formal at all. She took my ideas (a blue or green dress, 40s inspired, not strapless, flowing) and ran with it. This is exactly why you pay someone to do design work, because they take your ideas and make them more beautiful than you could ever imagine. The wedding dress is so important, and Lindsay created something that made me look and feel radiant, and it's also a dress I can wear post-wedding!

Came in the next day. They were open on a Tuesday.. she had never called me back or responded to my voicemail. Showed up and nobody was at the front and I had to ring the bell multiple times to get someone to come out. She came out and I reminded her of my voicemail and she said yes that she listened to it, but didn't reply as she didn't have time. I said OK... and asked her if she would be able to do what I requested over the phone. A simple hem Job on a two layered bridesmaids dress, nothing crazy. She looked at the dress and said no it is three layers. It will take too much effort/time. I showed her that it was two layers and not three and she said oh well two layers is still too much time, can't do it. I needed it done in five days which was not crazy for a rush job and was willing to pay a fee to get it done in that amount of time. She basically just shooed me away and said no. I immediately went downtown after calling "taylor chic" on morrison and they got me in, fitted the dress within the hour and were able to get it hemmed in only three days for my wedding at a very low cost. Go there instead. very kind and shop was much nicer and cleaner too, broadway was a mess.
