Well worth it! My pants were tailored to perfection. Kept the cut that I wanted and the flow is chefs kiss. The seamstress was kind and does high quality work. It was a little more expensive the I expected, but completely worth it. 10 out of 10 would absolutely recommend. read more

Tailor Chic - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Portland, Oregon

Order: 6 pair of dress pants Pros: they took every pair of pants that I had which was a size 38 and tailored them to fit my body really really good. I dropped from a 38 waist to a 33 waist within a year so instead of buying new clothes I decided to Taylor the ones that I had and I'm so glad that I did highly highly recommend. Definitely will be coming back to get my jeans tailored. Oh and only $15 per pants. Yeah they were pretty pretty good for the price as well. Cons: NA read more

My first time trying Tailor Chic and I was really impressed by their work! I took in a pair of jeans; as a petite female it's a constant challenge finding pants. The turnaround time was under a week (during Christmas!) and the stitching is identical to that of the original seams. Length is exactly what I wanted. I'll definitely be back for future tailor needs! read more

Great place to get a shirt shortened (make that nice T exactly how long you want it!) or something more complex (fix an issue with your jacket!). I'm blown away by how cheap some of these fixes are. read more

Did a beautiful job taking in the waist and hemming some heavy duty cargo pants to fit perfectly-- this is not always a simple thing to do especially with special fabric, and trusting that the hard-to-find piece you invested in is in good hands, well, is a lot of trus. The hem even looked like the original. Now they look like they were made for me! High quality work, very friendly service, fast turnaround, and extremely reasonable prices. What more could you want. read more

Tailor Chic did a great job fixing the zipper on my vintage Levi's. I dropped them off on a Monday and picked them up the following Tuesday just a little over a week turnaround for only $20, which I think is a great deal. The staff was also super friendly and welcoming. I'd definitely come back if I need any other clothing repairs! read more

I got my pants tailored and it took a week. Nice people and good quality of service. Thanks

Don't go anywhere for alterations!! The couple who runs this business is not only incredibly sweet and friendly, but also skilled and fast. I've gone to other tailors near them and my clothes have been ruined, temporarily lost, and the service was not at this level. I've taken everything from workout leggings to formal dresses to tailor chic and they never disappoint. Yes, the parking isn't ideal but they are worth it. read more

Leaving another Positive Review since this place, and the people there are amazing! I went in with a whole suit on a Monday evening for a wedding a few days later to be tailored since it was too big. They immediately said they could tailor it to my needs by Thursday. Fast forward to Thursday and Portland has a massive snow storm. I was worried they weren't going to be open and sure enough, they were when I called them right at 9am! It was ready AHEAD of time, and I was literally so happy walking over there and trying that suit on. THANK YOU so much for making sure my suit was ready for this Wedding. You guys saved me for sure! My advice - go to this place. Their alterations are ALWAYS spot on! read more

Expert skills. Timely. Fair prices. I am short and plus size. Almost every thing I buy needs altering. They do fabulous work and they do it quickly and for a fair price. Easily the rudest tailor in all of Portland. There are plenty of friendly and professional tailors in Portland. Stay away from Tailor Chic.

I had my cocktail dress altered and it looked flawless! The estimated time was on point (1 week) and the lady that measured me was very respectful and nice too. I paid $45 for the alteration (for a $60 dress), and it seemed like reasonable pricing to me. It was my first time getting anything altered so I'm not sure if that's the norm. I'd definitely use the service again! read more

Find a tailor" Well, My search is finally over. Thuy worked her magic on two pairs of pants and a jacket. I feel great in all the pieces now. And, I even received a compliment from my office's style maven as I walked in this morning. "Look at you!" Yes, indeed. Thanks Thuy and Tailor Chic! I'll be back. My wife and I have been using them for years, perfect price, quality stitching, and quick turnaround!

Service and quality are phenomenal. This place is close to my office, so I originally picked it for that alone and was ecstatic to discover how friendly and responsive they are. They rescued my favorite Nau jacket that had a huge hole in the seams of the arm pit and turned it around in record time. If you're looking for alterations, wedding dress, regular dresses, etc stop looking and just come here. Thuy is the best in the business. She's organized, kind, and she is really meticulous in her work, something that I appreciate. She altered my wedding dresses, bridesmaids dress, skirts, etc, I trust her with my most important outfits because I know they're in good hands. There were instances where I was in a pinch and needed something hemmed last minute and she stayed late past closing hours to help me out. I've since moved out of Portland but I miss her greatly as our go-to tailor. Thanks Thuy for helping me with all of my alterations and the great work that you do! read more
