Made an appointment for myself to get a full set and pedicure, and a manicure and pedicure for my 6 year old. It was a Friday just before dinner time so they were understandably busy. The establishment is clean and feels "uppity", yet doesn't have any extra features like being offered a drink while you're waiting. Waited about 10 minutes past our appointment time for someone to be available. They give you a booklet with all of the services they offer along with prices. I decided to try the hot stone pedicure, since my pregnant feet needed a little extra love. It's advertised the pedicure lasts 40 minutes. I can confirm it lasted about half that, maybe less. Teresa was the tech who was doing the pedicure, she was incredibly aggressive with the cuticle removal but gingerly scrubbed my rough heels. I've had better pedicures that lasted much longer at lower rated establishments. When I was taken over to Teresa's chair for the nail portion of my appointment, she asked if I wanted to try SNS instead of acrylics, I had never done it before but figured I'd give it a try. I enjoyed the dip process itself, it's quick and there isn't a lot of odor or anything. However, my nails look terrible. Not only did Teresa cut me several times, she was very clearly rushing. My nails on my right hand are all a size bigger than on my left. Probably wouldn't think anything of it if I didn't have so much experience with getting my nails done over the years. They're also shaped unevenly, the dip powder is thicker at my cuticle, and the gel top coat that was used started peeling on Sunday after taking a shower. This was my daughter's second time ever getting a mani/pedi. It's a fun treat and makes her feel special! They have 2 pedicure chairs just for kids. There is no traditional polish wall to pick from though, only their samples that get passed around from baskets etc. That was fine but it made it difficult for my daughter to easily see all the colors she likes. She went in thinking she'd be able to get rainbow nails, ya know 5 colors alternated on fingers and toes. Someone else finally came over after 10 minutes(my pedicure is halfway over at this point) and got the water started. When I relayed what my daughter was really hoping for, I was met with a tone of inconvenience and told it would count as a 10 finger design, so it would have been an extra $14 total. Really? For a set of teeny tiny nails? No thanks. Thankfully my daughter is sweet and flexible and was happy to choose one color for her fingers and one for her toes. I watched the whole time from across the salon and my daughter looked comfortable and relaxed. When she was done, the tech led her over to the drying table and had her sit there for a little less than 10 minutes before being brought over to sit by me while my nails were getting done. She was given a pack of fruit snacks(no one asked me if that was ok ahead of time) and somehow managed to knick her one thumb nail. No big deal, they can fix it. Well, while I finished up the tech fixed my daughter's nail...by just painting over it? She had a huge clump of nail polish on that nail that was never going to dry. While sitting at the drying table with her, I asked her if the tech put any clear polish over the color, and she said no. Thankfully a very kind woman sitting across from us had an instant dry top coat she prefers to use and offered it to us to use! Overall not the experience you expect from a place that looks like this. I am convinced all the 4 and 5 star reviews are from people that come during the week when they are the only ones in the salon. If you go on a weekend I'd almost guarantee they'll rush and cut corners. The 2 stars are because the establishment is nice, they have lots of matching nail color options(all of them in fact) and because the manager/owner Lang at the front desk was incredibly personable and friendly. Took my grandmother to get her nails done while I got a pedicure. Her no-chip manicure was so peaceful and swift that she fell asleep in the chair! She loves her nails and received nothing but great service, beautiful smiles, and a balloon for Mother's Day! She normally goes there but this was my first time. I had a pedicure and it was sincerely the BEST pedicure I've ever had. I'm currently in the seat at a different nail salon, receiving a pedicure and I have officially decided that I don't think I've ever had a pedicure as nice as the last one I had at Royale Nails! This was such a GREAT experience! The people are SO nice. Daisy gave my 7 year old granddaughter her pedicure and manicure. Daisy was great with her, and so patient. Then she gave me my manicure and waxed my eyebrows. The paraffin wax treatment feels so good. And she gave me a shoulder massage that just felt so good. She did my eyebrows so quickly, shaped them up beautifully for me. Tammy did my manicure. I highly recommend the "Dream Pedicure". The hot wax and hot stone massage left me feeling so good. Tammy did a great job smoothing out the callouses on my heels. The atmosphere is relaxing, and pretty. And you can get a glass of wine to enjoy if you'd like. I went in for an SNS manicure and had the most bizarre experience! I already had SNS on and the young man doing my nails used an acrylic nail to pop off my old polish and then put the acrylic back in the box to use on other customers! It was incredibly painful and ruined my actual nails. He then immediately began putting new SNS on, despite my reminder that I wanted a full manicure. After my nails were completely done, he tried to shape my nails and cut my cuticles using tools that were visibly not clean. The final result was sore nail beds, misshapen nails, and jagged cuticles. The woman next to me got a great SNS manicure so I'm hoping this young man was just new or inexperienced but he should not have been attempting the work he was doing. read more

The salon itself looks very high class and everyone there is super friendly however my experience there seemed rushed. I just got a refresh on my gel polish but when I got home I noticed my polish was already chipped and the polish was lifting from my nails which wouldn't be an issue if I hadn't just got them done two hours before hand. The nail technician did a beautiful job, but they didn't last three weeks. Usually I can wear SNS for a month. I was not impressed with the owner/ manager who kept trying to get me to buy more services. I had a regular pedicure and SNS nails which cost the same as SNS and a deluxe pedicure at my favorite salon which was closed for renovations. I was also concerned about the mess. I had old nail product all over my clothes. They didn't seem to mind that it was going everywhere. They also put your fingers in s baggie of acetone which isn't good for your skin. My usual salon puts cotton balls soaked with acetone on my nails, wraps in foil, and covers with gloves. No mess and no skin irritation. I won't go back. read more

I went to this place for the first time today. I only wanted a regular manicure due to using my hands a lot, polish comes off easily and I've seen how much damage gel can do to your nail bed. This is was worst manicure I've ever had due to my cuticles still having tiny pieces still sticking up on several nails and my nails even feel rough on the edges like sandpaper on some as well as from whatever kind of file was used, my nail surface is scratched. I am thoroughly disappointed this being my first visit. The girl that cashed out my bill, never spoke a word not even a thank you. Note to business owner, I DO get regular pedicures and would have spent the $$ to come back to your salon, had I been treated as nice as received as good of service as someone who was spending more money today. I guess a returning customer isn't your number one priority. Sad. I would like to add today, a day later my finger tips are so dry they are sticking to my clothes (like after you have scrubbed or cleaned tubs and showers with bare hands and scrub pad). I'm not sure what the chemical was the nail tech had in the plastic baggies he soaked my nails in for about 5 minutes before he pushed my cuticles up? I am accustomed to other nail places soaking nails in bowl before pushing cuticles or in baggies with lotion and warm mitts. I'm not sure of why he needed chemicals when I had bare nails and no polish to begin with? Very upset and nails worse today than they were before I went to Royale Nails. read more

I visited Royale nails for the first time last week. The interior space is absolutely stunning, and the pedicure I received from Rose was exquisite. She is a master with ingrown toenails. I love this place! The nail salon is beautiful inside, and the owner is really nice and accommodating. He is constantly checking on you to make sure you're happy. I've gotten SNS manicures at a lot of different nail salons, but my manicures never last as long if I get them done anywhere else. They easily last four weeks if I get them done here! I have gone here a few times and the last 2 experiences have been terrible. I made an appointment for pedicures and was sat in the chair without any service for 35 min after my appointment time. I went back again for a simple manicure after calling and being told there was a 20 min wait. I was told to sit in the chair and waited for 45 min and no one ever came. the owner kept telling me "they will be here in a few min." I wasn't getting gel or SNS even though the owner tried VERY HARD to get me to upgrade. I had heard from others that if you don't spend a lot of money they don't pay much attention to you- obviously that is true. Once I declined his final attempt to upgrade no one came by at all. Best manicure I have ever gotten hands down... hands up!! I requested the SNS dip which I have gotten many other times at a different salon. Over time my nail beds started cracking which was extremely painful. I showed them the problem and they knew the problem was not the product, but the application from the other salon. They applied the SNS the correct way and I have not had any problems. In fact I cannot believe how long this has lasted! If I could leave no stars I would. Last week my mother-in-law and I got appointments here, getting ready for a wedding. The staff was very nice and friendly. But as soon as we sat down the gal who was working on my mother-in-law's pedicure, didn't listen to at all to what she requested. She gouged her cuticles to the point of bleeding and added long nails when she clearly was told "short" nails. Then they charged her extra for the service that was not asked for. When my feet were getting done, the lady was digging out skin from under my nail, leaving an irritated and open wound. It started to get infected after applying the polish to nail. I visited this nail salon today based on a family member's recommendation. It is a very beautiful salon, but I was thoroughly disappointed by the way the owner treated me. I had an appointment, but the salon was very busy and I was not able to be seen on time. The owner, Lang, was not friendly at all and seemed to resent my asking about how long I would have to wait; I was willing to come back at another time. I have been using this salon for about 9 years and the owners are awesome. Definitely hard working. It is always busy. I took a few years off because I was working out of town, and I have been in several times in the last six months. I have found that it's not quite what if used to be, although Tina still creates the best shaped nail around. I went in one Sunday when it opened and a friend of mine I hadn't seen in awhile let me use her mani time to get a pedi so I could get a fill in. Tina doesn't usually see you without an appt. she removed my janky nails and put another full set on without charging me for the removal. The last time I went in for a fill in she did my waxing and I don't feel it was the best service I have received. The nails all started lifting off too soon, too. The last pedi I went in for Tran (owner!) actually did my pedi because several people had called out. It was soooo busy that day. I wasn't thrilled. I have also noticed that the last two times my charge card was charged an extra dollar than I wrote on the receipt...I know they do not like credit tips, but I am sorry I do not carry cash.
