We had a great lunch at the Crosswind Grill at Royal St. Patrick with awesome service. The server was very accommodating and was very prompt and friendly. All of our food was awesome!! Beware, do not enter a golf tournament here! 124 of us paid $55 for a course sponsored golf tournament, not a charity function, advertised as 18 holes of golf with cart, lunch and prizes. Unfortunately, for us, it rained and the tourney was cancelled. You would expect to receive a full refund for something like that or at least an entry into the second tourney like this later in the summer. Not here! We got a lousy $40 voucher, not sure how the owner Nick Stephens came up with that number, to be used at the course. Which is not real great for the guys coming in from out of the area. So he made roughly $2000 for not having the tourney, nice payday for doing nothing! In the accompanying letter with the vouchers he said there are "risks\costs" with something like this that we are apparently responsible for, not him. This is the worst place I have ever visited. The Pro staff is full of disrespectful kids. The service was so bad I asked for a refund and went to Mid Valley Golf course instead (only 5 min down the road). On my way out, I talked to a man in the parking lot who asked why I was leaving. I explained to him how terrible the staff was and he said "That's Royal Saint Pats for you". Needless to say I will never go there again, and Mid Valley has my business from now on. When I explained to them what Royals Saint Pats did, they let me golf without a tee time and gave me a free bucket of balls to warm up. read more

If you want to golf at a place where the golf staff in the pro shop doesn't know what they are doing. The Starter thinks he's working at Augusta. And the Ranger thinks he's actually working a real job. We got the spot for you! (Great golf course) but my goodness just a place where the fun gets sucked out of you as soon as you talk to anyone. I love royal st Patrick's food and the view from inside the big windows. A lot of time I'll do carry out and bring dinner home. My favorite is the wraps, fries, souther Cobb salad and boneless wings. I am not a fan of their traditional wings. All drumsticks with the bumpy skin still on that practically resembles a live chicken. Freaks me out. Some people might like that but I'm super picky about wings I prefer flats that are tossed in sauce and good chunks of meat. I don't want to be fighting off tough skin and cartilage. I have 4 stars for the fact that my carry out orders have been messed up quite a few times which sucks especially when you pay extra for chicken to be added and they don't add at all. Overall I recommend this place and their food. Always clean, service is always friendly. read more

My wife and I have eaten here five times in the last two years. The food is outstanding and the service is excellent, however, they were never very busy when we were there. It's "off the beaten path" as it's on a golf course, but it's well worth the drive to get there. Their burgers are fantastic, as are the sweet potato puffs. This course is always in great shape. Hands down it is about the best value for money in the valley. Greens are impeccable and rub true. Don't be intimidated by the length on the scorecard. The course presents a variation of looks based upon the tees that you play. I have played it from the whites and it was a fair test. I have also played this course from the tips and it is a challenging shot makers course. Situated 20 minutes north of Appleton it is definitely worth the drive and it will have you coming back fairly frequently. Bravo to the staff that do a great job at keeping this course in great shape. read more

Clubhouse pro/ranger is a jerk. There was a father with two daughters in front of us--the father was walking while both girls did donuts on the fairway. Someone called and complained, and the pro approached our group because he thought it was us. Lectured us on our cart behavior and then followed us for two holes to check up on us. This may be an great place if you have PLENTY of time to be waited on. The food looked great. The bartender was awesome. However, that's where the good stopped. Service was terrible. We waited 35 minutes after being told 10-15, still no problem, busy happens. The Royal St Patrick's Golf Course Restaurant is truly a gem! On a Friday evening, our table of six (and a half) enjoyed a wonderful dinner in a beautiful setting. Tables overlook the manicured golf course while you dine on their signature "Sampler Platter"; Deep fried string beans, BBQ chicken pieces, fried cheese curds and their "waffle fries". Dinner of deep fried lightly battered filet lake perch and tarter sauce, coleslaw, slice of buttered rye bread, waffle fries with sweet sour cream sauce to dip in. The 2/3 pound cheese burger and fries will "hit the spot"! The brisket sandwich is awesome. The wait service is outstanding. You'll have many beer selections to choose from, I opted for an Arnold Palmer. Dinner is so satisfying, dessert did not come to mind. It is a decent course. High quality, it is always in great shape. I just am not a fan of the layout. Feels like so many holes are the same. They have an identity issue. Are they a links course or not? It's a links course with water and fairly flat, so it doesn't play like a links course. It's hard to be too critical, because everything is so nice there, the greens roll great, I just have a personal issue with the boring layout. read more

TERRIBLE ESTABLISHMENT! Poorly managed, and staff seemed stressed out due to that. Noticed every Friday, servers stand in a posse on their phones. Kitchen messed up our order more than once... pretty sad when the apparent "head chef" was in charge Friday nights. Will never dine here again. The bar is disgusting and outdated. I just expected more since it's supposed to be a "high class" golf course. VERY dissapointed.. would give a 0 star rating. read more

Decent course thru 13 holes. Then an overweight kid that worked there scolded 45 plus year old adults about golf cart "behavior". I parked my cart 15 yards on the side of the green between the ruff and green and this punk said that was unacceptable. He said for the rest of the round we could only keep our carts on the path. Then he followed us for the next 3 holes and tried to hide while watching us. I am 48 years old and golf 50 plus times per year and don't deserves this crap. Left after 16 holes. RSP is hands down the nicest public facility in the fox valley. The golf course is always in excellent shape, the owner Nick makes sure to do things like only aerate the fairways so the greens stay great right up to season close. Golf carts are top notch, not broken down gas models from 20 years ago. The practice facility is excellent with great targets, bunker areas and two large putting surfaces. All the help is friendly and the food in the bar is EXCELLENT. Most generous fairways in the area and pin placements are always in appropriate places not the sides of slopes like some places. You must play this golf course and you won't be disappointed. Also makes sure to play the 19th after your round... read more
