This is a great state park! Only $4 per car and offers access for scuba divers to the springs…read more There is open water diving allowed here at orange grove. No lights though! The park also has cave diving with Peacock I, Peacock III, and Bonnet. You can enter Peacock I either at orange grove or the main entrance also. Bonnet has more restrictions and is limited to only a few cave divers a day. The dirt road can get bad when it's been raining but the try to maintain it.

Great people here. I…read morecalled ahead, a couple days early. The gal that answered that day was there the day we picked up our tubes. She was so kind o n the phone with a bit of country sass. She is the one that told us to be super early. If it wasn't for her we never would have even gotten on the river that day. last weekend we wanted to go on a lazy river, and possibly the best one in the area is Ichetucknee. We would need tubes so I called this place. The gal who answered said that the river was limited right now so better get there early. so we did. The price for a nice tube was only 7 dollars. Big, comfy, drink holder, back rest; I knew that was a good one. Once we paid they sent a fella to tie the tubes to the top of my jeep. I hadn't even thought about how to fit 2 large inflated tubes in my truck. The guy tied em down and we were off to the river. It was a quick event that was efficient. I couldn't have been happier how they got us in and out and on our way to the river. I will be back for sure 'cause the river was amazing.

This park is a bit off the beaten path but it is definitely worth checking out. The springs…read morethemself are definitely cool, as is the trailhead and I enjoyed chilling on the couple tables that were there specifically there for that very purpose. Being here maybe understand what day did Stephen Foster write the classic song "Way Down Upon the Suwannee River," the beauty and serenity here is a balm for your soul, both soothing and making you realize that there is more to this world than the hustle and bustle of the cities and the grind of your career. Just up the street from here is the local attraction that is known, at least locally, as the Graffiti Bridge. It is not that far off of Interstate 10 and worth the trip. I would hazard a guess that it would take you fifteen minutes out of your way and that is counting both going to and getting back on the highway. Once again, head over that way, you will not be disappointed. Check out both the springs and the Graffiti Bridge. You will be better for the experience.

Ivey Park is a park in Branford, Florida, right on the Suwannee River. It contains pic-nic tables,…read morerestrooms, two boat ramps, and also is the site of Branford Springs, which has a really nice boardwalk around it and, when the water is higher, is a fun place to swim. Currently, we've had so little rain in northern Florida that Branford Springs is down low and you can hardly swim in it. The springs flow right out into the Suwannee, by the way. The park is a great place to launch a boat or, as we did, moor your boat when you come up to explore the park and maybe have a pic-nic. We went to nearby Sisters' Café and got our food and came back and ate here and it was pretty awesome. The park is kept pretty clean and is a lot nicer than most public boat ramp facilities in this part of Florida, but then, Suwannee County actually seems to bother putting decent money into things unlike some of its neighboring counties, so there you go. The views of the river here--and from the bridge crossing over to Lafayette County--are great, too.

The trail is a quick 0.6-mile loop that is mostly a beautifully maintained, elevated wooden boardwalk, making it highly accessible. You can hear the roar of the falls before you even see them! The water drops over a limestone ledge into a ravine, creating a beautiful contrast with the surrounding cypress and magnolia trees. ​Tip: The water volume depends heavily on recent rainfall, so it's especially impressive after a good storm! There's also a great playground and clean picnic areas at the trailhead. Just note that dogs aren't allowed on this trail.

This is a place where you can sleep, cook, and get all the dive gear/ tank fills you need for cave…read morediving in the area. They feature several different rooms in mobile home type buildings rooms offered are: Back trailer: 2 beds on one side with a shared bathroom and 4 beds on the other side. The other 2 cabin type buildings I haven't been in but one has a bed for 2 people and the other I think has 2 beds sleeping 4 people. (call them for more details) Also inside the main building there is a room that sleeps 4 in 2 sets of bunk beds. The rooms are clean and the owner is very welcoming. They have a full shared kitchen on site for those who prefer to cook their own meals. The dive shop features rental gear and all the big or little things you would need to cave dive they have available to buy. 32% Nitrox is banked so filling tanks is a quick process here, always a good fill.

If using them for dive gear repair, beware. They sent off my regulator set to be repaired (had I…read moreknown they'd ship it off, I'd have taken it back to where I bought it to begin with). I was warned it would be a while because of lack of parts manufacturing which was no big deal so when months had passed, I didn't think anything of it. 7 months rolls around, they sent the USPS tracking info and said we needed to take it to the post office and locate it--it had been lost. USPS system only goes back 6 months--therefore, USPS can't do anything since it had been so long. The Dive Outpost tells me there's nothing they can do and then proceeds to tell me that I can buy a new set from them for $600 or a consigned set for $400. All said and done I have lost a $600 regulator set with no offer to replace or at the very least discount a new one. Bad way of doing business.

I love that they provide the transportation. I drive a Nissan, not a lot of room for a canoe! Lucas came to pick us up and drove up 8 miles up the river so we would have a decent trip back. It took us a few hours, and we made several stops along the way. We won't talk about my SO dumping me into the river at the boat dock... Lucas was nice enough not to laugh where I could hear him! Seemed like a nice family run place! Definitely my kind of people to support. Really appreciated everything they did. They even were nice and drive back by the cabin because I forgot something.

I called ahead and made the reservation and confirmed when I got to town. When I was at the site, I called him for the pickup, and by the time I unloaded my car, he was there. I stored the gear and he helped me move my canoe to the trailer. Would have been five stars if he helped with the gear, but I tipped him well anyway. The price was reasonable and the service was what I wanted. I had a great paddle down one of my favorite sections of the river.
