I've been having my cars serviced at Royal South Toyota in Bloomington Indiana for over 4 years…read more Late 2020 is when I got my first Toyota; a 2019 Camry SE. I love the responsive, spirited ride that sports tuning gives me. And even though my first Toyota came from another, non-Toyota dealer, Royal South welcomed me and provided us fantastic service. In late 2022, I got curious about the new Camry hybrids with their very uniquely TOYOTA ECVT drive train. So, I test drove and traded for the 2023 Camry Hybrid SE Nightshade model. VERY nice ride. In the meantime, my lady starts looking for new vehicle options. She's really special. So I start showing her the Toyota Camry experience... 'cause she deserves some of the best things in life. As time goes by, she's impressed, but a little afraid of it (as one should be), so maybe she'll get something a little smaller. So, we're looking around wherever we go. And New year's eve comes around... and we're out car shopping. We walk in to one dealership and they have this beautiful 2025 Camry Hybrid XSE in the middle of the show room, like 3 cars deep from the door to outside. Don't you just love the way life can turn kind of magical sometimes? I mean, you still have to work out all the details to connect with reality, but somehow all the intent, understanding, trust, and motivation that drives these things just jiggles around and falls together so clearly. So, we're looking at all the sweet features on this lovely thing and I ask her if she'd like to test drive it. And right then, we did a lot of talking and negotiating between each other right there. And we test drove that car and bought it, right on the spot, two hours away from home. Back home in Bloomington, we sometimes long for a sentimental visit with our very nice dealer of origin, but Royal South Toyota provides our service with the highest level of professionalism and integrity. Hey! You ought to go find and test drive the Toyota you need today... and find out what you've been missing.

Den of Thieves…read more After having a windshield trim piece replaced only a couple of months ago, it flew off on I-70 near 465. "BANG!". I wasn't sure what happened until I got home. No biggy, I already had some other maintenance needs so I would have them replace it. Stuff happens, right? Nobody's perfect. They told me that since I didn't stop to retrieve the piece, they would have no idea what happened, and wanted to charge me another $498 to replace their shoddy work!!! (A year before, they wanted to charge me almost $900 for the same work. They said that the windshield had to come out; it didn't!). The maintenance guy on the phone, Bob, kept telling me "It's just policy..." and "It could have happened in a carwash!". He said that last part twice. So THEY are telling me that their maintenance is so bad that it won't withstand a carwash? Why didn't they say that BEFORE I paid for it the first time? How can they charge $170+/hr Labor for ridiculously inferior craftsmanship? Why are they treating a 13 year customer like a criminal? I don't care if I have to drive to Kentucky for my next maintenance, I will NEVER give Royal Toyota (or its ownership) another dime of my family's money. Completely disgusted.

I can't remember the name of the guy that helped me, but it felt like he was very open and transparent in his approach. He was very much a salesman and hit a lot of the buttons they are supposed to. In my particular case I think it came down to the fact that the car in my price range had some potential hidden problems I wasn't comfortable with. He offered to note everything on a "we owe" sheet that would ensure my concerns were addressed. He was respectful and listened to my mad ramblings. He even asked which sort of seating was comfortable for me and my bad back. He did a lot to repair my view of Royal dealers. This location has some pretty high end stuff, and he showed the sheet with the basics from the service department. My budget was not flexible and I was set on a hybrid. It just didn't happen here this time. Had he been less respectful or too pushy, I would not rate 4 stars. I feel like he hit a nice balance of listening to my needs and offering something that might work for me. He made me think hard about my decision, and it wasn't easy for me to walk away, but it's what was necessary. I left feeling much better about Royal than I had in the past.

They are to go to folks if you really want a great deal on a new or used vehicle. They actually took the time to explain everything my wife had questions about. They offered to do face time if she had any other questions, since we live three hours away. Yeah, we got that good of a deal. Worth the drive.

I've always been happy with my experiences here. I've purchased several vehicles over the years, and when I had a Jeep that needed to be serviced, they helped. The pricing is fair on the cars, and the sales people are lower pressure than Royal. I really appreciate that. I have an unusual situation I'm in now, and currently have a down payment on a car. They have been great in accommodating me and the communication has been terrific as well! I definitely recommend giving them a shot.

I brought my 2017 Lincoln MKZ to Community Ford on May 1st for a fuel line repair, which cost me a…read moretotal fee of $2,000.00. When they finally attempted to deliver the car back to me weeks later, the vehicle was in significantly worse shape than when I dropped it off. Every single dashboard light was illuminated--including the ABS, Traction Control, and Advance Trac systems--none of which were on when they received the vehicle. They pulled codes C0031:15 and C0031:07, which indicate a failing wheel speed sensor. According to Ford's official service manual, the exact repair they performed under the hood/subframe area runs directly along the driver-side frame rail where this wiring harness sits. Despite the obvious cause-and-effect, Store Manager Jay Burgess and Service Manager Nathan Schipp flatly refuse to take responsibility or inspect their technician's workspace for collateral electrical damage, trying to claim it is just a "coincidence". To make matters worse, they held my vehicle for well over a month, only provided a courtesy loaner vehicle for a few days of that entire timeframe, and eventually returned my car with a completely dead battery. To anyone else dealing with their terrible service: make sure to fill out the official Ford/Lincoln corporate email survey and rate them a 1-star across the board. Dealerships live and die by their factory CSI (Customer Service Index) scores, and giving them the 1-star they deserve on the corporate survey forces upper management to actually answer for their negligence. If you want your vehicle returned to you with new, safety-critical braking damage and a management team that stonewalls you, this is the place to go. I have already corporate-escalated this case with the Lincoln Concierge and will be seeing them in small claims court next. Avoid at all costs.
