It's well taken care of and different plants and flowers were all over. There are fountains at the Rose Garden, Formal Garden, and Ceremony Garden. At the time of our visit, there were artists who were painting areas of the garden. Definitely worth visiting.

Everyone of our rooms was clean, updated and very comfortable. I had a 2 queen beds with a balcony over looking the frozen lake and it was beautiful. We received housekeeping every day, which I have found not to be the case nowadays at other hotels. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The restaurant off the lobby was delicious. There is a lounge/pub on the lower level that is fully stocked and they serve pub food. I got the personal pizza and it was excellent. My family members ordered the burgers and equally were satisfied. The younger members of our family used the pool, arcade, hot tub and exercise room every day we were there and had so much fun. I definitely will be returning for long weekends often. So nice

It smelled like paint. It was noisy with workers communicating loudly up and down the hall, and carpet cleaning machines. Given the lack of cars in the parking lot, it seems like they could have given us a room on a floor without the maintenance work. I said as much on the survey they asked me to take. Their response was that they hope to do better next time. There won't be a next time. I'll fondly remember having to excuse myself to get around the friendly guy painting our door frame. Good Times.

Came across this place while walking downtown. Only hotel that I could find in the area. On a whim, booked it direct on their site. Room rate was reasonable. Old, fancy, historical building. Fridge and safe, no microwave. Bed was comfy. Slept great. TV slides out from under the footboard of the bed. Never seen that before. Shower was also something I have not encountered before. Large square dispenser directly over your head. Felt great. Fond du Lac is worth a visit. If you find yourself in town, I highly recommend this hotel!

The theatre is set up with a stage on one end and chairs lined in rows to view the performance. We were in row 4 or so and didn't have issues with seeing over those in front of us. The stage seemed to be high enough to accommodate the backs rows as well. They do have a bar so you can get a cocktail and enjoy the show. As Second City involves crowd participation, the room was totally engaged and having a ton of fun. So glad we were able to catch this show.

The only complaint I have...which is the reason this is not a 5-star review was there weren't enough seats. We had to grab a couple of chairs from the bathroom to sit down. The staff should have offered us seats- not us having to look for them.
