But I gave the benefit of the doubt and please always trust your gut!! Anyhow today I picked my dog up from boarding for one night and I noticed my dogs lipstick was out. We all know it's out sometimes and it's normal but I was visibly swollen ! I waited about an hour and still the same ! I messaged them and apparently he has been like that for two hrs!! And no one thought to mention it to me. I tell her the vet said he more that likely mated w a female dog or he was forcefully separated from a female causing it to swell and no able to go back in! I messaged her and she said it's not a medical emergency! Like what! You're not a vet to be saying that!! And she acted all defensive . Like no customer service or empathy at all. I was just telling her feedback bc us owners need to know any changes in our babies! Like do you even care! I feel like they don't really watch the dogs.

The staff is so nice and they really get to know you and your pets so they're able to meet each of your pets individualized needs. They also always give great resources and education for certain things that are discussed in the appointment. Additionally, they use the pet desk app which is so helpful for making appointments, following up on your pets vaccines, lab results and medications. My late cat Deacon got sick last year and I was able to text the number on the app and they got us in the next day even though they were closed because it was an emergency. I wish I would have checked here before ever getting involved with this clinic. First, to be fair,…read moretheir price for spaying my dog was reasonable. The place is small and seems run down. But the surgery went okay... they didn't mention what is normal following the surgery, so I had to consult with someone about some blood in her stools... but it was okay. Fast forward to calling today to get her shots updated... first of all, the McAllen clinic often doesn't answer their phones... San Antonio does. I called at 4:30pm to see if I could get her seen by 5 for her shots. The person on the phone told me to go as a walk-in, and I could still be seen. I knock on the door at about 4:45pm. The staff was on the phone, so we had to wait a few minutes. A male staff answered and said that I had to "go around back" for the service. There was a "members only" line and a separate one for non-members, nothing clearly marked. A female staff member rudely says, "You're not waiting in line, are you?" When I said, "Yes," she said that they stopped taking walk-ins at 4:50pm. I hate being that last minute person... really, I do, but I would have understood if: 1) the person who answered the phone relayed this, or, 2) if the person who answered their office door had mentioned this. All in all, they were disorganized, rude, and they did not honor their walk-in hours posted. If you just want cheap and don't care about customer service, I guess this would be okay. Personally, I won't be back.
