I was a very loyal client of Melissa's until about a week ago. I dropped off my two dogs (3 years and 11 months old) for 10 days while I was on vacation. When I picked them up I noticed the 11 month old was hacking and he threw up when I got him home. I asked Melissa if she knew anything about it or if that happened during daycare but she said no and it was probably stress related. This was on a Sunday. By Tuesday the hacking was worse and one of his eyes was swollen shut. I took my dog to the vet who said it was likely kennel cough, although my dog had received is Bordetella vaccine. I messaged Melissa and she claimed he didn't show any signs of illness while with her and she could not be blamed for his illness. He seemed to get better but started throwing up Friday night. I called my vet who now prescribed anti nausea meds. My pup threw those up too. Finally on Saturday I was able to get him to take his medicine but he wasn't eating. Sunday he threw up blood so I drove him to the ER where I was told he had a pulmonary infection and was given antibiotics and an anti nausea medication to get him to eat. My pup passed away at 5 pm on Monday. Please don't take your babies to Melissa. In the two years I had her watch my dogs she never asked for their vaccination records and I wouldn't be surprised if there was an unvaccinated dog under her care. If you take a look at her day care videos she also seems to have entirely too many dogs at daycare at once and has lost a dog in the past. I'd hate for anyone to experience the same pain I do now. read more

Melissa and her team are awesome! After I started working full time, our dog had so much energy and would wake up ready to play periodically throughout the night. Several people recommended Melissa's Pet Services to us so we figured we'd give it a try. Dougan loves going to daycare and even tries to push the door open to go in when he gets there! Durning the day, I receive pictures and videos of him playing with the other dogs. He has so much fun and comes back worn out, but most importantly I know he's safe, getting exercise, and continuing to be socialized. We are going to leave him for a week while we are on vacation and feel comfortable knowing he is in good hands. I highly recommend Melissa's Pet Services to anyone! read more

Melissa and her staff are great! I feel very comfortable leaving my two precious fur babies with her, and I do so often. I rely on Melissa's Pet Service whenever I travel, which is more often than I'd like! And I usually take my girls at least twice a week to play because they love it so much! Melissa and her staff do a great job pairing dogs that play well together, and there are often fun parties! I'm so glad I found Melissa, don't know what I'd do without her! She is very flexible with scheduling, and accommodates my somtimes crazy schedule. She also sends lots of pictures and patiently answers all questions and texts from this neurotic dog mom! read more

It was my first time leaving my puppy with anyone, she made it easier by sending me photos and updating me with his activities.. i was scared he was going to felt like if i abandoned him but he loved it so much i am going to take him back for daycare so he can play with his friends.. they treated him very well and made sure he had fun, i don't think he missed us much.. I had heard a couple of good reviews and they were right.. i tried out the daycare before i left him overnight which i think worked out great.. Melissa was wonderful! She texted me frequent pictures and updates of my pups playing with other dogs. I felt completely comfortable leaving them with her and will be booking her again. She follows your dogs' strict dietary, exercise, and special needs efficiently. When I came to pick them up after 4 days, I could tell they had a lot of fun as they didn't want to leave! Unlike other boarding companies, your dogs will not be crated for the majority of the day and will receive plenty of one-on-one time and direct supervision. read more

This place is amazing!! My furbaby goes to Melissa for his grooming needs and daycare. He's also stayed with her overnight. I know Boscoe loves going to Melissa's because as soon as we turn down her street he starts getting excited and his tail goes crazy. He becomes super anxious as he waits outside her door, bolts inside as soon as the door open and forgets about his parents! It is a great sign and the care Boscoe receives is definitely genuine. Excellent pet services in the Valley! Melissa and her staff are so attentive and treat my two boys with so much care and attention! My Jack and Sinyo go to daycare daily, Monday thru Friday; they behave so much better now! They learn how to socialize and get along with other dogs. Sending videos and pictures often to show you what they are doing. Also when I have to go out of town, I leave both my dogs with them. There are to many good things to say about Melissa. She takes care of my gentle giant Achilles a full size Doberman pincher. He's is the happiest pup when I drop him off which means a lot to me because that shows me how much her and her assistant watch over Achilles. I am at ease while away because I know he is happy playing with other dogs and best of all not locked up. I have left Duke my Boston Terrier with Melissa days at a time when I go on vacation, he also sometimes goes to doggy daycare to socialize with other doggies. He loves it so much. She sends me pictures and updates on Duke everyday while I am away. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my fur baby.
