I think what makes this park stand out is the crowd. Any park can be beautiful but, without the proper maintenance from the park crew (and most importantly the park goers) it doesn't stand a chance. You see tons of regulars here with their dogs, families, kids. Everyone is friendly and respectful of one another. The dog crowd at this park is also one of the best I've seen. Although the park is not off leash, there's wide open areas for you to allow your fur family to play catch, run around, and have a bit of freedom! They do have a couple of posts that have doggie bags however, they run out quick so please do come prepared with your own poop bags just in case! There are plenty of water fountains throughout with water filling stations attached, so don't forget a bowl for your fur family!!

We were there for a friendship potluck, that would be located inside the Sweet Shade Clubhouse. The constructive feedback; the gentleman in charge of the clubhouse, (not sure how to put this) but I felt they were nitpicking, Requiring the trash bins / cans inside the clubhouse that stunk, with germs, bacteria, etc. had no Lysol, one had to reach in to get the replacement bags. Not very hygienic. I was under the impression that The two gentlemen in the clubhouse did not care and wanted us to dump the trash bags into the dumpster afterwards, which is fine, (and they weren't going to facilitate or lift the finger ) but there was trash - semi full and it would be really cool if they took out the trash bins to wash them out or had some type of antibacterial spray to use. - they didn't and it seem like they just didn't care. It could've easily been a five star review, but wasn't.

Adventure Playground Irvine is one of the best places for kids to do what they do best...play and destroy things (build, then destroy the big lego blocks). There's a jungle gym, multiple long concrete slides, a water feature, sand play area, ping pong, and of course the large lego blocks that kids make into castles, forts, etc. The whole Adventure Playground is enclosed, so you don't have to worry too much about kids running out of the play area from multiple exits. There is plenty of parking in the lot and the nearby library as well as the street. The best part of the playground = free. You just need to sign in with how many are in your party when you first walk in. There's also another playground outside of the Adventure Playground at the nearby park (walk for like 100 feet). Overall, a wonderful place to take your kids for an afternoon. Xie Xie!

I came on a Sunday afternoon and there were a few parking spots left. There is a big grass area, sizable playground, and some picnic tables scattered around. From this park, you can actually take a paved trail called Greenwood Gulsh across the street (look it up on Google Maps), which then takes you to another park called Ron Foell Park. Nice little loop between the two parks. Dog friendly park as well. Quiet and safe.

There's a kids' area inside, and honestly as an adult, it's clutch when it gets too hot outside because you have a nice indoor space to cool off. Outside, there are cool zip-line style swings, play areas for both younger and older kids, and plenty of shaded spots. Major bonus points for no woodchips -- huge win. The library also has fun music exploration activities, which was a pleasant surprise. Plus, there are easy food options nearby, so you don't have to overthink meals. Parking was easy for me, though I can see it getting tricky during busier times. After taking a confused stroll around, I am still unsure. I've driven by here many times and always wanted to check it out. I was pleasantly surprised to find more info here on Yelp, as well as All Trails. So I figured it was a public accessible trail. Many people of all ages were walking, jogging, and riding e-bikes. But there was no specific way to enter or even a specific loop. Just got to walk around a beautiful lake, then turned around because I had no idea where I was going. Regardless, beautiful and serene.
