We waited a few quick minutes for their dedicated couples massage room; two sisters had just finished up, and they had to get it cleaned and prepared for us. When we entered, there were heart balloons and roses set up for us! We were given a minute to undress to our underwear and get comfortable. There were bottles of water and clean sheets and towels. They knocked and asked before entering, and asked how much pressure in general we wanted. They began quickly, and had some quiet music playing. Joy was my masseuse, and Tina did work on my partner. They started with our backs, necks, and about halfway through, had us turn over for the front. They applied a good amount of pressure, and adapted when we asked for more or less pressure in specific areas. Joy made some quick conversation to get us comfortable, and then it was silence for the rest. Very peaceful and relaxing. They asked about pressure, temperature, and specific areas that we wanted work on. They have obviously listened to former reviews and have made great improvements. I want to note that I am a personal trainer, and my partner works with their hands almost daily. It was deeply soothing, and I started falling asleep at one point. They definitely know what they're doing, and were very professional. I highly recommend Joy, and Tina got a great review from my partner as well. Prices are great as well. It was $60 per person per hour, and they did ask how much we would tip during payment. I was happy to tip them at a good rate. Massage is taxing to perform, and they were very deserving. I was already really looking forward to it when I arrived, but as someone with a love for historic homes, stepping up to the wrap around porch made me swoon. The home is so beautiful and nostalgic, the wood floors creaking and popping underfoot, and this heavenly mixed scent of skincare/spa/baked goods...I couldn't always put my finger on the scent, but even as someone with sensory sensitivities, it was a sensory delight. Lani put me right at ease. She clearly knows her craft and I felt that I could trust her to perform a chemical peel on my face. The whole experience was so soothing and luxious, I nearly fell asleep. Afterwards, she made suggestions for follow up services to meet my skincare goals and some products to use in the healing process. There was absolutely no pressure, just suggestions, as I had also indicated on my paperwork that I was open to suggestions and recommendations. I appreciate that this is asked ahead of time. 2 days out from my facial and peel, my skin still looks amazing and the peeling is very manageable. My son gave me a one hour massage per month. You can accumulate time, so I usually get a 90 minute. Since I was a first-time guest and not a member, I completed some intake paperwork before my appointment. Afterward, my massage therapist, Laurie, came to greet me and took me back to the treatment room. The room had a calm, relaxing atmosphere, and the massage table was wonderfully warm and comfortable. I especially loved the soft sheets and blanket. Laurie was incredibly kind, professional, and skilled. She mentioned that she has been doing massage therapy for many years, and it showed. Throughout the session, she checked in with me to make sure I was comfortable and feeling okay. By the end of the massage, I felt so relaxed that I could have easily gone home and taken a long nap. I had about 30 minutes between my massage and facial, so I spent some time relaxing in the quiet waiting area. They had a water station available, and Laurie emphasized the importance of staying hydrated after a massage, so I made sure to drink plenty of water. She was energetic, friendly, and immediately made me feel comfortable. I really enjoyed talking with her. The facial itself felt amazing, and she did a fantastic job. Carmenique was extremely knowledgeable about the products she used and clearly passionate about skincare and helping her clients achieve their goals. After my services were complete, I stopped by the front desk where they explained the membership options. I was definitely tempted to sign up on the spot, but I decided to take some time to think about it. Honestly, after this experience, I can see the value in regular massages and self care treatments. I came in this group looking for a Lymphatic massage therapist a few weeks ago due to me going in for surgery. I was a nervous reck not knowing what to do or what to expect and she inbox me. I was a little worried because she was based out of Phoenix and was requesting half down for my massage package. But from the moment we start inboxing she made my experience more and more comfortable. She even advised if things changed with my surgery I wouldn't have anything to worry about. We inboxed and discussed what the packages included and also what dates I was looking at. She was willing to travel to another state to see me and also see me when I came back to Indiana. Even when I became inactive in the messages she still inboxed me recommendations and things I needed to know to prepare for surgery which was more then what the actual facility was doing (but that's another story ). Finally she met me in Indiana for our first visit she was on time and equipped with everything she needed. From the 1st appointment I can feel the difference in the way she did the massage vs the 4 I got from the surgery facility. She made me comfortable enough to pay the rest of my package balance because at first I was worried. Finally I'm on massage number 3 and we're doing every other day. This lady is amazing, her energy is on point, she be knowing exactly where the discomfort is without me saying anything, she's on time and always very communicative.
