Pretzel
Alexandra W.

We decided to try this place for dinner one time and enjoyed it a lot. We sat by the window with a view of the pond, which was very pretty. The pretzels were what we ordered for an appetizer and they were buttery, fluffy and amazing. I ordered a classic burger and it was very yummy. The house made potato chips we also sooooo good! The food came really quick and the waitress was very nice. Would come back!

Homemade chips

First time there since I've moved up here. The staff was great even changed the channel so I could watch the Michigan game. The homemade chips were amazing!! Love the flavor! The haystack dilla wasn't too bad. Nice and cheesy and not bad flavor. My nephew got a hot dog - probably wouldn't get it again but the fries were hot and good

Chicken quesadilla $9.95

This place is a hidden gem. The atmosphere is lively and was hopping when we arrived. It's a seat yourself place and the staff was super friendly and pleasant. Instantly had a feeling you were welcome. They were busy but still made you feel wanted. Thank you staff members. The drinks were AMAZING! The best $5 Long Island that I can remember. The piña coladas were delicious as well. The list in my review shows what they had to offer and I wanted to try them all. The food was all really good. I don't know if anyone had any complaints with their orders. The wet burrito was delicious with the right blend of beef and beans. The chicken quesadilla was not short on any filling. If you like cheese, this is the one for you! The flatbread pizza was loaded and delicious. The bread was very soft and complemented all the toppings which were not sparse. The Tex Mex wrap was a definite hit as well. Honestly we were talking about what we wanted to try the next time we come and we are still at a loss because there is so many good options. They do run specials, one being an all you can eat fish fry. The special that evening was prime rib, which we wish we would've tried. Next time! If you want to go to a nice place to grab some amazing drinks and eat some delicious food, this is definitely a must if you're in the area. The price was very reasonable, as you can see on the menu photos. My portion of the meal was the wet burrito and quesadilla with one piña colada and one Long Island iced tea. The total cost was ~$31!

Fish and Chips are a Friday special, with unlimited fish!
Tim C.

This place is a awesome choice for casual dining, and has the availability of above average food and service. We enjoyed the Friday Night special of Fish and Chips, with unlimited Fish! Very fresh, and the price is a great value. They also offer unlimited Shrimp! The beer is cold, and the staff are friendly and attentive. There are multiple TV's in the bar, and over the beautiful fireplace. Or, in another part of the dining area, there is a striking view of the 18th green of the Royal Golf Course.

The new bar area.

The place to go for a great catered event. Ryan supplies an ample amount of well prepared food and obviously knows how to run a kitchen!

The space is small and seating was a bit cramped. I wouldn't cone with more than 3 people max if you are hoping to be able to sit. But great if you want to grab it and head home. Shop was very loud due to the small space, music playing and people talking but thats expected. For me the cost seemed a bit high. The sandwiches just come on a standard size bread you would make at home and most of the options are just various ways to make a grilled cheese. And while they taste good, they are still $10 or more for a grilled cheese. Same for the soups, they taste good and lots of choices but for the small (12oz) you are still paying $8 or more. Which means even for just a standard grilled cheese and tomato soup you are spending $18 or more so it feels a bit expensive at that point. I had a Ruben (on standard sized bread) and a pastrami soup for $23. Also, no real need to upgrade for a $1 for the roll to come with your soup. Not really anything special about it. But again overall it did taste good on a cold day. Just which the cost was slightly lower and seating didn't feel cramped.

The homey decor paired with the friendly service made it feel like you were visiting a friend who also happens to be a baker extraordinaire! The staff here goes above and beyond with the drink attentiveness--our waitress kept the refills coming and even offered us a coffee to go as the place was winding down. Now that's hospitality! Located conveniently across from the Tesla superchargers, it's the perfect pit stop for some recharge-yourself-while-you-recharge-the-car vibes. And don't leave without trying a slice of their famous pie. We were tipped off by the waitress that the buttermilk and berry pies are the crowd favorites, and I can see why! If you're a pie person, don't miss. Food-wise, it's classic Michigan fare. The chicken and rice soup of the day was exactly what you'd expect--simple, no-frills, but satisfying. I also tried the quiche of the day, which came with a fruit cup (not the freshest fruit ever, but no complaints here) and a homemade scone that was delicious! The pesto chicken sandwich hit the spot, too. Whether you're here for the pies, the quiche, or just to soak up the local charm, Mulberry Cafe has you covered. And with an attached gift shop, you might just find a cute souvenir to remember your visit.

While waiting for her to arrive, we enjoyed watching folks go down the river on tubes. I decided to order the Fat Noodle Soup as it sounded incredible. I had also ordered a side salad with grilled chicken as I thought I would need something to round out my meal. I wound up just eating the chicken and left the lettuce as I was pretty full after all the soup! Hubby ordered a burger with sweet potato fries and really enjoyed it. The aioli and sweet soy was a great complement to the perfectly cooked, juicy bites of fried chicken. Meals: YES, there was just two of us and YES we got three meals, soup and an app. The menu is outstandingly elevated, packed with creativity and flavor profiles. We chose the Venison Chili to start and wow, it was amazing. Our meals were 1. Southern Mac 9/10: not our favorite due to the cheese sauce, but the flavors overall were spot on, noodles perfect, spicy jalapeños and the pickled onion was a perfect touch. 2. Steak Dinner: this is the meal that made me ask who the Chef here is! 100000/10! Most amazing, juicy, tender and flavorful steak I've ever had. I asked for a side of the truffle garlic aioli because I wanted to try it, the steak didn't need a darn thing (although I did take the horseradish aioli home to try and replicate!) The sides were perfect, the veggies and the potatoes - yum. The house made sauces were amazing but for only dunkin' those potatoes - don't ruin a good steak with sauce. Seriously, it's that good. 3. Gyro Lamb Burger: 10/10! The lamb was juicy, the homemade tzatziki was so darn flavorful and the cucumbers were crisp and fresh. Dessert: leftovers, and our delicious drinks from the bar - we didn't have a bite to spare in our stomach's. Hats off to the chef and team who created this menu! We drove almost an hour to come here based on your Google reviews alone and it was worth every second of the long rainy drive! We will absolutely be back. They were also doing a deal on their mocktails for dry January, which I thought was cool. The menu is pretty varied with lots of options for meat-eaters--I wouldn't come here if you're vegan or vegetarian. Entrees get a bit pricey (their steak frites is $49), but sandwiches are around $15-$18 and come with fries. I ordered the pesto chicken wrap with a side of mac and cheese instead of fries. My friend got the chicken and chorizo nachos and we decided to split them half and half. Our food came out quickly and looked really good! The wrap was tasty but I couldn't really taste the pistachio pesto. The mac and cheese was incredible--super cheesy, perfectly cooked cavatappi noodles, and very flavorful. I'm really glad I upgraded to that and would even consider getting the full entree size in the future. The nachos were pretty loaded, and a generous portion. I liked all the toppings but didn't really taste much chorizo. These would be a good starter for a group. Overall a very good experience and I would come back.
